Could lose Salah & Mane.... there's always someone bigger

bobbo

Mane going to move on because people of Senegal are encouraging him too. Saleh as far as I can see just a mega greedy one wants £400,000 a week .
1975 just leaving home full of hope

Somerset Fulham

Mane is an incredible man, he puts Salah to absolute shame.

Dodgin

Mane donates large chunks of his salary to causes in his country.

bobbo

Yeah he's such a great advert for helping his country , payed for housing, schools etc . I'm sure we all admire him for what he's done/doing , BUT  on the pitch he fits in with grealish , Stirling etc for cheating - diving . I can't get my head round why he has two very different sides to him.

Perhaps in his private life he does what he believes is best for he and his countryman, and to support that then in his professional life he has to do what the gaffer tells him to do (falling over, cheating etc) to win games so he can do better in his private life. One hand washes the other.
Logical is just in the name - don't expect it has anything to do with my thought process, because I AM the man who sold the world.

Yes, success is everything, and what brings in the big money, in the modern game, and I suppose Mane plays to win - does everything he can get away with, and his manager probably encourages him in this - at least doesn't  censure him, and then he can use  the wealth gained from this success to do good back home.

Well, both neither manager and player would admit to cheating, but would likely say they were the victim of harsh tactics from defenders - and Klopp would likely say that ref's don't give his star players enough protection.

With the unit Citeh are bringing in up front, I think Liverpool will find the gap widening next season.

Didn't Salah say a few days ago, he will definately be at LPL next season.

VERY DAFT AND A LOT DAFTER THAN I SEEM, SOMETIMES

Yeah.

This is basically the end of football.  They will be mentally brilliant.

He did but then Liverpool have to make the choice of paying 400K plus a week, lose him on a free or sell him this season and get some money

H4usuallysitting

So, I'm assuming Salah has been speaking to another club - that are throwing £400k a week at him.... sound's reasonable to me

filham

Salah should be put in irons and cast away beside the railway line at Stamford Bridge  for disservices to football, just for asking for those wages.
£399,900 per week more than Haynes, you can't be serious.

Andy S

It's been going this way for sometime. eventually there will be no interest if it carries on

Free Elvis Hammond

There's no competing with the oil states' spending. Barcelona tried to keep up and it nearly ruined them

Hopefully their departures will be the catalyst for a steady downwards trajectory in Liverpool's fortunes

Yeah it's a funny dynamic, don't like Liverpool, but Klopp is an unbelievable manager

Where will they go to? The ones with the money and no real plans are Newcastle and PSG - just throwing money around. Real and Barca maybe a draw because of their names but they are pretty much skint. Man City has a plan and it doesn't involve just buying players with reputations - they have to fit into the team. Man Utd and Chelsea are a step down as are Bayern Munich in terms of prestige or current trajectories.  Italian clubs? Don't have the money.

Newcastle have a clear vision. They've set timelines by which they wish to reach the EL, CL and challenge for the title. Mane and Salah are too old to move to Newcastle.
Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.
