The problem with throw-ins is not the law about them it is the lack of enforcement by officials about where the throw should be taken from, the time taken for throws, including the use of towels for long throwers etc., all of which can be managed by the referee and their assistants.  A throw in is not an advantage situation like a free kick; it is simply the way play restarts when the ball leaves the field of play with possession going to the side who weren't responsible.  As in rugby the restart is not supposed to favour either side.   

When and if we see a marked improvement in law enforcement then we could ask FIFA (or whoever) to improve stuff but at the moment IMO the game needs a kick up the backside when it comes to onfield discipline.  As others say - stop the cheating.     

Well put. Ban towels, take throws from where the ball crosses the line and cut out simulation. I'd give bookings for appealing for a foul or free kick, that would go a long way.
