Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace or Fulham : Which club fits Aribo's gameplay the best?

According to an exclusive report by allnigeriasoccer.com, two Premier League clubs have joined Crystal Palace in the race to recruit Nigeria international Joe Aribo in the summer transfer window.

After Aribo made it clear that he is not interested in signing a contract extension at Ibrox Stadium, the Light Blues are prepared to listen to proposals for the player before the transfer window shuts in order to avoid losing him on a free transfer next season.

While there are reports that Southampton, Brentford, and Aston Villa have expressed an interest in the 25-year-old, allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Fulham, Nottingham Forest, and Crystal Palace are currently the most interested clubs in taking the player.

Aribo will no doubt be a huge loss to the Light Blues and allnigeriasoccer.com takes a look at which club fits Aribo's gameplay if a move to any of his three confirmed suitors materialises.

Aribo's Style of play

The midfielder is a sort of roamer. He struts around the pitch intending to control the flow of play in between the lines.

He is also a line-breaking passer and has long strides with quick feet which makes it easier for him to bomb forward and sort out his footwork to blast angled shots or vertical passes.

Fulham

Marco Silva sets his team up in a 4-2-3-1 formation with the aim of controlling possession and taking the initiative.

Players like Seri are quite good at this but bringing in Aribo would surely raise the level.

Nottingham Forest

The Reds play a 3-4-1-2 formation which is basically a counter-attacking setup. The likes of Djed Spence are used as primary outlets who get up the pitch with pace and power.

Crystal Palace

Patrick Vieira uses a number of formations, although his favourites are the 4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1. Having Mateta, Edouard, Benteke, and Ayew at his disposal, the former Arsenal captain has no shortage of tireless forwards.

Wilfred Zaha serves as the wide-playmaker in most of his lineups, which typically feature two forwards.

Allnigeriasoccer Verdict

Aribo would be okay playing for Crystal Palace as they are currently doing well and tactically flexible. But in any case the Eagles fail to sign him, Fulham is an excellent choice.

Aribo suits a possession-based team and Marco Silva does exactly that. Although it would be harder to do it in the Premier League, Aribo would surely help to achieve it.

Nottingham Forest and Fulham join Aston Villa in Juventus transfer battle

All the latest Aston Villa transfer news as BirminghamLive brings you an update regarding Moise Kean who has been linked with a move to Villa Park

Nottingham Forest and Fulham are reportedly interested in Italian striker Moise Kean, who has also been linked with a potential move to Aston Villa.

Kean, 22, returned to Juventus on loan from Everton last summer and although he his currently still a Toffees player, the Serie A side have an obligation to buy the Italy international this summer. However, it has been suggested that the Italian club may look to cash in on Kean immediately, with a move to the Premier League being touted for the striker.

According to Calcio Mercato , Steven Gerrard's side are 'on his trail', with Juventus happy to let the striker leave having 'not convinced' boss Massimiliano Allegri this season. Villa have reportedly 'asked for information' about the striker's availability.. Juventus could also be 'intrigued' by a possible 'exchange' involving Douglas Luiz , who has been heavily linked with a move to Italy with both AS Roma and AC Milan interested in the Brazilian midfielder.

Newly promoted sides Fulham and Nottingham Forest could be set to join Villa in the transfer battle for Kean, as Calcio Mercato go on to state that the two teams hold an 'interest' in the striker. However, Kean is not 'convinced' at the moment and could wait to 'evaluate' his options going into the window.

Two Premier League new boys 'interested' in £25m Everton flop – player 'not convinced'

Newly-promoted Premier League duo Nottingham Forest and Fulham are reportedly 'interested' in signing Everton's Moise Kean.

The Italian striker broke onto the scene at Juventus before completing a transfer to Everton for around £25m in August 2019.

The then-19-year-old failed to hit the ground running in England and was subsequently loaned out to Paris Saint-Germain the following summer.

He featured for a single minute in the Premier League last term before re-joining Juventus on a two-year loan. The Old Lady have an obligation to buy the player next year.

Kean is technically still listed as an Everton player on the club's official website, and despite being on loan in Serie A as things stand, there is current interest in the 22-year-old.

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, top-flight returnees Nottingham Forest and Fulham are both 'interested' in signing Kean.

However, the Italy international is 'not convinced' and will wait it out in case he receives a better opportunity before accepting an offer from Forest or the Cottagers.

Elsewhere, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta "needs a top-four finish" next season, according to club legend Nigel Winterburn.

The Gunners were extremely close to finishing fourth last season but defeats against Tottenham and Newcastle towards the end of the campaign succumbed them to Europa League football next term.

Winterburn told Bet365: "After Christmas, the position they got themselves into, they should have finished fourth. It was a great position. But they didn't deliver in certain games when they needed to.

"There were several games, but Arteta knows and that will be his biggest regret. Transfers, consistency, home form was good but far too many losses last season.

"He can't do that again and challenge for the top four, the league will be stronger again this season. I like what he's doing but there's still one or two sitting on the fence, thinking we need to see more from the manager.

"But with Europa League this season to add to the confusion, he's going to have to rotate players, hence why we need a bigger squad. I would think he needs top-four this season."

Opinion: Fulham should consider Swansea City as next loan destination for exciting defender

With Russell Martin using last season as a period of time to adjust to the Championship at Swansea City, expectation levels will naturally rise once the new season gets underway.

Showing plenty of promise during the last campaign, all whilst playing an exciting brand of dominant football, Martin will be growing confident about what the new season could hold.

The signings of Harry darling and Nathan Wood also creates excitement at the Swansea.com Stadium, with the pair possessing the ability to make a difference now, whilst they also have high enough ceilings that they can match the ambitions at the South Wales club.

One positional department that seemingly needs bolstering as the new campaign edges closer to its beginning is the right-wing-back area, with it remaining unknown whether a further move for Cyrus Christie will be made and whether or not they would be successful.

After an excellent second half of the campaign for the Swans, it will be important that Martin can bring in someone who could provide a similar kind of service.

Fulham's Marlon Fossey is someone who could certainly fit the bill in South Wales, with a step up to the Championship looking like the most likely option for the 23-year-old who spent the second half of the 2021/22 season with Bolton Wanderers.

For Fossey, and for his parent club, it is now about finding a club who can bridge the gap between where Bolton and Fulham are currently at, all whilst finding a destination that matches what the young wing-back can offer.

A constant attacking threat, Fossey has also emerged as an improved defensive option, proving to be an intelligent reader of the game and particularly shines when stood up one-on-one.

He also thrived within a Bolton side where keeping high percentages of possession was a stylistic objective for Ian Evatt, something that would make Swansea a natural step, whilst not changing what is required of him too much.

Fossey emerged as one of League One's top wing-backs last season in a short space of time, with his pace, progressive abilities and final-product making him someone that would add real attacking value to the Swans.

Fulham have 'total agreement' for signing – Marco Silva convinced player

There's now a 'total agreement' between Fulham and Sporting for the transfer of João Palhinha, according to the latest claims from Portugal.

Newspaper A Bola today writes the deal is 'closed', and it turns out the midfielder is moving for a little more than initially expected.

It's said Fulham are initially paying €20m, plus €2m in performance bonuses which are 'easily achievable', especially if they stay in the Premier League for one more season. Sporting are also said to have a percentage of a future sale.

Even though it's already been claimed Palhinha will double his wages, from €1.2m net to €2.5m per season, it's said the Cottagers and he still have a few details to sort out before the contract is signed.

The midfielder is still on holiday, and is set to return to Portugal on Saturday. According to A Bola, he'll sit with his representatives to analyse Fulham's offer 'next week' and discuss those final details.

Only then Palhinha will travel to England and sign a deal which is expected to run until the summer of 2026.

The newspaper claims the player came close to joining Wolves, and ended up being 'convinced' by Marco Silva to move to London instead.

Fulham cast their eye over Rangers Midfielder

According to Scottish newspaper the daily record Fulham are among a host of Premier League teams taking a look at Rangers midfielder Joe Aribo.

The Nigerian international has enjoyed his time in Scotland winning the League and culminating in him scoring in the Europa League final where he was deployed in a false 9 role which he took to very well.

Predominantly he plays as an attacking midfielder and with a gaping hole in the no10 role left behind by Carvalho's departure Aribo could be a shrewd bit of business for Fulham this summer.

Coming through the Charlton youth system and shooting to prominence in league 1 he has experience of the English game and he may fancy a return to London with the opportunity to test himself in the biggest league in the world.

Other clubs credited with an interest include Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Nottingham forest

Fulham have 'presented an offer' for Switzerland international – Showing 'strong interest' in player

Fuham, fresh from their promotion back to the Premier League, are on a mission to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.

They are close to sealing a transfer for Sporting CP's João Palhinha, and now it's the right-back position being worked on.

The news comes from TuttoMercatoWeb in Italy, who claim Fulham have shown a 'strong interest' in Switzerland international Kevin Mbabu.

In fact, they've gone further than just declare their desire to sign him, as the website add the Cottagers have 'presented an offer to Wolfsburg to take the right-back to London'.

The amount put forward by Fulham isn't revealed, but considering the 27-year-old only has one year left on his contract with the German side, he shouldn't be someone they will have to break the bank for.

Mbabu made 31 appearances in all competitions for Wolfsburg last season, picking up one assist in a 59 minute display in the DFB-Pokal win against Preußen Münster.

However, that result was made void when the Bundesliga club lost their place in the cup after using too many substitutes during the game.

Fulham have now bid for 'particularly strong and quick' 27-year-old

Fulham have now stepped up the club's interest in signing Kevin Mbabu this summer with Marco Silva's side submitting a formal offer to Wolfsburg, according to TuttoMercatoWEB.

The Craven Cottage natives are eager to strengthen the Portuguese's options at right-back as they prepare to return to the Premier League. Silva has identified the position as one to improve on the back of winning the Championship, having relied on loanee Neco Williams.

Fulham added Williams in the winter market from Liverpool and Silva would utilise the 21-cap Wales star in all 14 second-tier fixtures that were available to him. Only whilst the 21-year-old was unavailable due to injury did the Cottagers boss recall Kenny Tete to his side.

Tete had started as Silva's first-choice right-back last term before suffering his own injury issues. The Dutchman then briefly returned to replace Denis Odoi before Fulham sold the Ghanaian to Club Brugge in January. Yet Tete could not remain in favour against Williams.

Now, while Liverpool have told Williams he can head back out on loan once again, per the Mirror, Silva has turned his attention to Wolfsburg with Fulham interested in Mbabu. The west London natives have also now advanced their discussions with the Bundesliga outfit.

Fulham make Wolfsburg offer as Silva steps up Mbabu interest

Fulham have made Wolfsburg an offer to buy Mbabu this summer with Silva interested in offering the 27-year-old another chance in the Premier League. He previously played with Newcastle United from 2013 to 2017, but only played five times around loans and injuries.

Mbabu has since rebuilt his reputation with two sensational seasons in Switzerland at BSC Young Boys. His displays in his home country then saw Die Wolfe pay £8m in 2019, where Wolfsburg managing director Jorg Schmadtke hails him as 'particularly strong and quick'.

Silva hopes Mbabu can now bring his pacey and robust defensive style to Craven Cottage to keep Fulham safe. The 22-cap international's speed is his best attribute as he will often maraud down the flank, but can impact games at either end of the field with his pressing.

Transfer News: Fulham keen on signing Moise Kean

Newly-promoted Premier League club Fulham are keen on signing Everton striker Moise Kean, who is currently on loan at Juventus.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Everton youngster Moise Kean has emerged as a summer transfer target for newly-promoted Premier League side Moise Kean.

The 22-year-old is currently on loan at Juventus, the club where he came through the ranks at the youth level. Kean's second coming to the Allianz Stadium has, however, been less than stellar, and he looks set to seek new pastures this summer.

A return to England could be on the cards, with Fulham and Nottingham Forest interested. The duo gained promotion to the top flight and will be keen to strengthen their frontlines this summer to have a better chance of staying up in the 2022/23 campaign.

Fulham blitzed through the EFL Championship with consummate ease, winning the second division by a canter. The Premier League is a whole another ball game, and they cannot afford to not strengthen their ranks in the coming weeks.

The Cottagers will also need to replace young sensation Fabio Carvalho, who has agreed to join Liverpool. The 19-year-old's departure will leave a void of creativity and goalscoring that needs to be filled. It thus comes as little surprise that Fulham are seeing a move for Kean.

The young Italian international is primarily a centre-forward but can also do a job on the left wing. Aleksandar Mitrovic continues to be Marco Silva's go-to-striker but also having Kean as an alternative will hand the Spaniard enough strength in depth.

Kean does not appear to be convinced about moving to Craven Cottage. The 22-year-old Everton striker is less than thrilled about moving to a newly promoted side and is seeking other alternatives. Juventus, for their part, have shown little to no interest in keeping him on for the 2022/23 campaign.

Everton, too, need a rebuild, but there is little news coming out of Goodison Park that is in favour of keeping Kean on. The Italian international might have been an extremely promising talent a few years ago, but his stock has fallen since and requires rekindling.

A move to Craven Cottage might not be the most glamorous option, but it could hand Kean the lifeline he needs to resurrect his career. Not only can he secure regular playing time, but Silva's attacking approach will also allow him to express himself better at Fulham. Whether the young attacker will change his mind in the coming weeks or hold out for a better alternative remains to be seen.

Mohamed Al Fayed 'gave Fulham players Viagra to make sure they scored'

Former Fulham owner and billionaire Mohamed Al-Fayed gave the Cottagers' players Viagra to give them a lift before games says the London club's ex manager Chris Coleman

Football billionaire Mohamed Al-Fayed gave Viagra to his Fulham players before matches to make sure they scored.

Chris Coleman, who played for and managed the club, said the Egyptian-born owner used to dish out the sex pills to give his stars a lift before kick-off. Under Al-Fayed the west London team shot to the top of the old First Division, now the Championship, with an explosive 100 points after banging in 100 goals to reach the Premier League where they qualified for Europe.

Chris, 52, who went on to manage Wales, said the ex-Harrods boss knew a few "bizarre" tricks to make footballers raise their games. He told Four Four Two magazine: "When I was a player he went through a phase of coming into the dressing room before games to hand out Viagra tablets to the players, saying, 'Make sure you win and you can have a good weekend'.

Chris said the businessman, now 93 and reportedly worth £1.6billion, would also bring a string of celebrities into the dressing room to meet the players - including late legendary Some Like It Hot actor Tony Curtis.

"He would walk in after the game with a celebrity - one time it was Tony Curtis," said Chris. "I remember looking at this fella who came into the dressing room and thinking he was the image of Michael Jackson only there's no way it was him. But it was.

"I remember looking down and thinking, 'Jesus Christ, his feet are massive'. We were all in our towels. Mohamed was making some comments that aren't appropriate for print. And then we all had our picture taken with him.

"It was bizarre but it was a really happy time at the club."

Al-Fayed ran the club from 1997 to 2013 during which time he pumped in £187million of his own cash in interest-free loans. In 1999 the owner famously strode into the dressing room as then-boss Kevin Keegan was about to give his pre-match pep talk and handed out gold to the players.

They turned out to be chocolate bars wrapped in gold foil. Al-Fayed told the team: "Here you go, boys. Get stuck in - it's full of Viagra."

Romagnoli between Lazio, Fulham and a Milan change of heart

Alessio Romagnoli is reportedly tired of waiting for Lazio, but although he has an offer from Fulham, he now hopes to negotiate a new deal at Milan.

The centre-back was purchased from Roma in the summer of 2015 for €25m and went on to become their captain, even though he fell down the pecking order under coach Stefano Pioli.

He had allowed his contract to run down after failing to agree on a new salary package, and it is due to expire on June 30.

A dream move to Lazio was on the cards, the club he has always supported, but that doesn't seem to be materialising.

It's because the Biancocelesti need to sell Francesco Acerbi first and that is no closer to happening either.

According to both Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia, Romagnoli is fielding a proposal from Premier League side Fulham.

However, he is increasingly eager to stay put and renegotiate a new contract so he can remain at Milan.

That would also solve the Rossoneri's issues, having lost out on Sven Botman because the Lille defender is heading to Newcastle United instead.

Fulham offer Romagnoli big wages

Reports coming from journalist Alfredo Pedulla tonight say that Fulham have offered the Italian center back Alessio Romagnoli high wages to try and bring him to Craven Cottage. The defenders preference has always been to join Lazio however he is now growing impatient with the lack of movement from the Italian side. The contract offer is on the table from Fulham and is a very lucrative one for Romagnoli who has said he wants his future sorted before his contract with AC Milan runs out next week.

An everpresent in the Milan side making over 200 apps for the side as well as captaining the side it's in no doubt he could be exactly the type of defender Marco Silva needs to sure up his Fulham back line. Romagnoli would be regarded as something of a coup for the west London side should they manage get the deal over the line.

Fulham join Crystal Palace in Joe Aribo race

Fulham are interested in versatile midfielder Joe Aribo, who could depart Rangers in the summer window.

According to All Nigeria Soccer, Fulham are one of the clubs interested in signing Rangers midfielder Joe Aribo ahead of their return to Premier League action. Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest are also keen on adding the Nigerian to their ranks, who enjoyed a wonderful season with the Glasgow giants.

Joe Aribo once again proved his mettle in a Rangers shirt, making an incredible 57 appearances across all competition for the Europa League finalists in the 2021/22 campaign. His durability and versatility have caught the eye of a few Premier League sides, including Fulham, who are chasing his signature.

Aribo plays primarily in a central midfield position, although he played most of his games in the Scottish league as an attacking midfielder last season, while even operationg as a false-nine at times. His versatility is one of the most important factors why clubs are chasing him.

Fulham are among the strongest suitors of Aribo heading into the summer window. After winning the Championship, the Cottagers have just returned to the Premier League, and Marco Silva is intent to keep their top-flight status beyond next season.

To achieve the objective, Silva is keen to bolster his squad in multiple areas, including the midfield department, where he is short on depth and quality for the Premier League. Fulham are chasing Joao Palinha in the window and could look to bring in someone like Aribo to add a different dimension to their gameplay.

Aribo is also chased by Crystal Palace, according to the report. Palace, who are closing in on signing Cheick Doucoure, could be looking at Aribo as a more attack-minded option to bolster their options in midfield. The 25-year-old Rangers star could potentially fill the void left by Conor Gallagher, who will be back at his parent club Chelsea.

Meanwhile, like Fulham and Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest are keen on an experienced star like Aribo to add quality to their side upon returning to the Premier League. Either way, the Ranges star could be a solid signing for these teams, although Palace and Fulham have shown the greater intent to sign the versatile midfielder.

Fulham 'ready to close' deal for free signing – 'There is an offer' from Cottagers for player

Fulham have taken steps to sign Alessio Romagnoli this summer, according to multiple claims coming out of Italy.

The defender's contract at AC Milan expires in less than a week's time and he was expected to join Lazio as a free agent this summer.

After months of negotiations between the 27-year-old and the Biancocelesti, the two have still not found an agreement. That's according to Alfredo Pedullà, who states the centre-back, at most, will wait for a week, likely for Lazio to make a convincing offer.

Lazio's refusal to seal the deal for the Italy international allowed the Cottagers to get into the picture as they are 'ready to close' the deal. The Serie A side didn't make progress to tie down the centre-back because their sporting director, Igli Tare, has failed to offload Francesco Acerbi.

Marca Silva's side wanting the outgoing Milan player is also reported by Sky Italia. Their title states 'there is an offer from Fulham' for him.

The newly promoted Premier League side are in a position to propose a better economic offer to Romagnoli, that only the top Serie A clubs could match.

However, Sky Italia add he is 'not enthusiastic' about joining Fulham and continues to wait for Lazio to make an improved offer.

Romagnoli, as per Alfredo Pedullà, will wait for a week. With Fulham already making an offer, they will find out in the coming few days whether Lazio can manage to agree a deal with the defender.
