Fulham lead race to sign Juventus left back Pellegrini

Luca Pellegrini has a number of offers from Premier League clubs and currently Fulham seem to be the favourites to sign the Juventus full back.

The 23-year-old Italian left back featured mostly as a rotation option last season under Massimiliano Allegri, making only 15 Serie A starts. Not wanting to hamper his development by remaining benched, Pellegrini now seems set to leave the club this summer, ready for a breath of fresh air.

As detailed by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Pellegrini has received several offers from the Premier League and Fulham currently lead the race to secure his signature. Juventus are looking for around €10-15m for the 23-year-old, who is contracted to the club until 2025.

The Italian left back is excited about the idea of playing abroad and Allegri has already signed off on a possible sale.

Pellegrini joined Juventus in the summer of 2019 from Roma in a deal worth around €22m. He mostly spent time away on loan, failing to make a strong impression with the first team.

Premier League club pushing to sign Coventry City man this summer

Fulham are pushing to bring Coventry City midfielder Gustavo Hamer to Craven Cottage this summer, The Sun has reported.

Coventry City's deal to sign Hamer from PEC Zwolle in 2020 has gone down as one of their best bits of business in years.

The Dutch midfielder has been a star performer for the Sky Blues ever since, going from strength to strength under Mark Robins' management and proving himself as one of the Championship's best midfielders.

That hasn't gone unnoticed though, and transfer interest in Hamer has emerged once again.

The Sun states that Premier League side Fulham are now keen on signing the Brazilian-born star ahead of the new season. It is said that the Cottagers are pushing to bring Hamer up to the Premier League with them, already making a bid for the 25-year-old Coventry City standout.

A fight for the Sky Blues...

Coventry City will know that Hamer is a coveted player this summer.

His age means he still has plenty of time to develop and grow further and, arguably, he is already a Premier League quality player.

The midfielder managed an impressive 10 assists in 39 Championship games last season, also scoring three goals to take him to 21 goal contributions in 85 games for the Sky Blues (eight goals, 13 assists).

Robins and co will understandably be keen to maintain the services of their midfield star. However, every player has a price, and landing a big fee for a player like Hamer will free the Sky Blues to strengthen and invest money elsewhere.

It remains to be seen how Fulham's interest pans out, but the Sky Blues look set for a fight to keep Hamer.

Coventry City receive transfer offer from Fulham for 25-year old

Fulham have launched a transfer bid to sign Gustavo Hamer from Coventry City.

According to The Sun, the Cottagers are keen to add the midfielder to their squad this summer.

Marco Silva is looking to improve his first team squad ahead of their Premier League campaign having secured promotion to the top flight last season.

The Portuguese sees Hamer as an ideal candidate to bolster his side's midfield.

The 25-year old has performed well for the Sky Blues and has become an important player to Mark Robins' team.

The Dutchman played 39 times in the Championship as Coventry secured a 12th place finish in the table last season.

In that time, Hamer scored three and assisted 10 goals in an impressive campaign for the Feyenoord academy graduate.

The Coventry player has previously been linked with a move to one of Fulham's London rivals Brentford, as well as Scottish giants Celtic.

Hamer has spent two seasons in Coventry, playing 81 league games in that time.

An undisclosed bid has reportedly already been submitted by Fulham for the player, but it remains to be seen whether it matches the Championship club's evaluation of the Brazilian-born.

The Verdict

This would be a big loss to Coventry if he does depart this summer, even if a big fee is received as a result.

He is one of the team's most important players, which does mean it will likely take a sizable sum of money for Fulham to prize him away from Coventry.

However, this is still a deal that could easily come to fruition.

Fulham have the resources, and if Silva is keen enough to demand a move for Hamer then there's a distinct possibility an agreement does get reached.

But it would come as a surprise if this opening offer was accepted, due to the nature of the dance to negotiating.

Fulham submit offer to sign Alessio Romagnoli

Fulham have reportedly tabled a contract offer to AC Milan captain Alessio Romagnoli, who is set to depart the club as a free agent this summer.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Fulham have submitted a contract proposal for AC Milan captain Alessio Romagnoli, who will be leaving the club when his current deal expires on June 30.

Romagnoli has been with Milan for seven years when he joined from Serie A rivals AS Roma. He has made 247 appearances for the Rossoneri, bagging ten goals and three assists in the process. However, the 27-year-old has lost his starting berth at the heart of the Milan defence over the past eighteen months.

Indeed, Romagnoli has fallen behind Simon Kjaer, Fikayo Tomori and Pierre Kalulu in the pecking order at San Siro and started just 16 games in Serie A in 2021/22 as Milan won the Scudetto. And with his contract expiring in less than a week, the centre-back is set to move on as a free agent.

Romagnoli had been linked with a move to Lazio, but talks have gone quiet of late. There had been murmurs of interest from the likes of Barcelona, Juventus and Manchester United, although nothing has come of it either. Now, newly-promoted Premier League club Fulham have entered the race to sign Romagnoli and have made a contract offer.

Back to the top flight after winning the EFL Championship, Fulham are looking to add more quality to their roster to avoid the drop back to the second division. And a new centre-back is high on the transfer wishlist of manager Marco Silva, with Michael Hector and Alfie Mawson poised to leave as free agents.

It would leave Fulham with only Tosin Adarabioyo, Tim Ream and Terence Kongolo as options at the back. And with Adarabioyo also being linked with a summer move to Newcastle United, the Cottagers need to sign a new centre-half to bolster their defensive ranks for the upcoming campaign.

To that end, Fulham have seemingly identified Romagnoli as a target and have lodged a contract offer for the 27-year-old. However, the report states that the Italian international is not enthusiastic about a possible move to Craven Cottage as he sees it as a stepdown despite the possibility of earning a lucrative salary.

Instead, Romagnoli is hoping that Milan offer him a new deal after missing out on Sven Botman, who is set to join Newcastle United. If not, the 27-year-old is hoping that talks with Lazio restart again. But if neither of them materialises, Fulham's proposal is on the table for the 27-year-old.

West Ham beat Newcastle and Fulham in race for bargain £8m signing

West Ham United have reached an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain over the signing of Alphonse Areola on a long-term deal.

The Hammers have activated the option to buy in the goalkeeper's loan deal from last season, worth around £8million, which the Irons chose over the alternative of a further loan reports The Athletic.

Areola played 17 times in all competitions for West Ham during his loan spell last season and was the goalkeeper most used by David Moyes in the Hammers' run to the Europa League semi-finals. The 29-year-old kept eight clean sheets in 16 cup appearances and will now be hoping to challenge Lukasz Fabianski for the number one shirt at the London club next season.

Apart from West Ham, Areola received interest from Newcastle and Fulham this summer, but the Magpies ultimately went for Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope reports The Athletic. The 29-year-old played for Fulham during the 2020-21 campaign but decided to stay at West Ham as David Moyes' side looks to build on last season.

At £8million this is a bargain signing for West Ham as Areola has proven many times that he is a good goalkeeper. With Fabianski being 37 years old, the Frenchman could take over from the Polish shot-stopper next season and remain the Hammers' keeper for many years.

Fulham named as favourites to sign Juventus man

Luca Pellegrini could continue his career in the Premier League as Fulham pursues their interest in his signature.

The left-back is facing an important summer which will probably see him leave Juventus.

He was the club's second choice behind Alex Sandro in the last campaign, and he impressed several suitors.

Reports have linked the likes of Lazio and Monza with a move for him in this transfer window, but his destiny seems to be abroad.

La Gazzetta dello Sport, as reported by Football Italia, claims the 23-year-old is the subject of interest from newly-promoted Premier League club, Fulham.

The Cottagers have been targeting some of the finest players around the continent, and they want to add him to their squad.

The report claims he is excited about the opportunity and will move to England if he is allowed.

Max Allegri will not stop him and has already signed off on the deal, with Juve hoping to make at least 10m euros.

Juve FC Says

A move abroad will help to make Pellegrini a stronger player, and he should not miss this chance.

Italian players rarely accept offers to go abroad, but it is an experience that is usually beneficial to the player.

Palhinha set to sign

The news this afternoon from the sun and various Portuguese outlets are saying that sporting Lisbon midfielder João Palhinha will travel to England on Monday ahead of sealing his move to Craven cottage.

Palhinha is set to sign a 5 year deal and double his wages after Fulham moved to hijack the move when Wolves looked most likely to sign the Portugal international.

Marco Silva targeted his countryman as one of his key signings this window and after weeks of will he won't he it now looks all but certain that he will play for Fulham next season.

Fulham are set to pay €20m euros for the defensive midfielder who is seen a big coup for the west London side and key cog in the whites chances of keeping their premier League status this coming season.

Fulham Agree Deal In Principle For Manchester United Star, Looking To Convince Player

Fulham have an agreement in principle with Manchester United for Andreas Pereira and are now looking to convince the player about the move.

Pereira is currently on loan in Brazil at Flamengo, but the spell is due to come to an end at the end of the month; his final game could be on Wednesday in the Copa Libertadores.

Flamengo have been keen to keep Pereira, but the Brazilian side are not able to meet the price needed to keep him on a permanent basis.

Now matters have become further complicated for Flamengo as, according to Brazilian outlet UOL Esporte, Fulham have an agreement in principle with Manchester United.

The Premier League new boys are offering around €10m for Pereira, with bonuses worth an extra €3m.

Fulham are now working to convince Pereira that his future lies at Craven Cottage.

The midfielder has also been considering returning to Manchester United and looking to impress the club's new manager Erik ten Hag.

Fulham boss Marco Silva is a big admirer of Pereira though and wants to add him to the ranks ahead of a season back in the big time for the club.

Flamengo face Deportes Tolima in the Copa Libertadores later this week and the game could be Pereira's swansong.

Fulham in for Utd Midfielder

There are reports this evening coming from Marcelo Hazan and backed up by many other top Journalists that Fulham have made a bid of €10m euros plus add-ons for Man utd midfielder Andreas Pereira who is currently on loan in Brazil at Flamengo.

He has scored twice and had 1 assist in his 9 apps in the Brazilian top division but he has expressed a desire to return to Europe to prove himself and now it seems Marco Silva has made a move for him.

He is a player with Premier League experience after getting 2 goals and 4 assists in a turbulent time while Man utd were in transition after sir Alex Ferguson left but he's always been a player with talent and if nurtured correctly he could prove to be a good addition to a Fulham side that looks like it's going to Palhinha and Solomon in the coming days aswell.

Newly promoted team make £8.6m offer for Man United midfielder

Fulham are reportedly trying to sign Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira.

That's according to a recent report from UOL Esporte journalist Marcelo Hazan, who has claimed the newly-promoted Cottagers have offered the Red Devils £8.6m (€10m) for the Brazilian playmaker.

After joining from PSV's youth academy back in 2012, Pereira, 26, has been with United for the last decade. However, although the 26-year-old graduated from United's academy back in 2015, he has always struggled to cement a place down in the club's senior first team.

A string of loan moves over the past few years have seen the South American continually uprooted with his career seemingly standing still.

However, after spending last season with Flamengo – a club where he has played some of his best football, Pereira could still find his next step is back in England.

Although it remains to be seen if United will accept Fulham's offer, as we exclusively reported, the 20-time league winners view Pereira, along with defender Eric Bailly, as 'must sell' players so an agreement with Marco Silva's Cottagers is certainly very likely.

Man Utd to bolster Erik ten Hag transfer budget as '£11m Fulham agreement struck'
MANCHESTER UNITED are set to continue raising cash through player sales to increase their spending power...

Fulham and Manchester United have agreed a deal in principle for Andreas Pereira, according to reports in Brazil. The 26-year-old, who enjoyed an unlikely revival under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford, is currently on loan at Flamengo but it appears he could be set to move onto a new venture in the coming weeks.

Pereira has scored seven times in 31 outings while on loan back in South America and his form has attracted the interest of several clubs in Europe.

However, according to UOL Esporte, it looks like Fulham are set to win the race for the playmaker after striking an agreement with United.

Journalist Marcelo Hazan tweeted: "Fulham has made a proposal and has a principle agreement with Manchester United by Andreas Pereira: 10 million euros + 3 million euros in bonuses.

"English now try to convince Andreas Pereira, loaned to Flamengo until Thursday (30)."

United scouts in South America were said to be impressed by Pereira towards the end of last season and there was talk he could be handed the chance to turn over a new leaf under Ten Hag.

But the club are also wary that they need to clear the decks while raising further cash will also bolster their spending power throughout the summer transfer window.

It's been a turbulent ride for Pereira at United following loan spells with Granada, Valencia and Lazio but he has failed to settle at Old Trafford.

He has featured just 45 times in a United shirt since graduating through the club's academy in 2014.

Paulo Sousa, who was recently sacked by Flamengo, recently made it clear he'd instructed the club to sign Pereira permanently.

"Of all those that we have, I would like this continuity that I have already expressed," he told Lance.

"We've already spoken to Bruno, but it's not just up to us, it's up to the player and the club.

"In the game against Catolica, Andreas played an extraordinary game, and now he was decisive."

Fulham in pole position to sign Luca Pellegrini

Fulham are reportedly leading the race to sign 23-year-old Juventus defender Luca Pellegrini in the summer transfer window.

According to Calciomercato, Premier League newcomers Fulham are in pole position to land Juventus defender Luca Pellegrini in the summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old came through the ranks at AS Roma before moving to Juventus in 2019. He has since made just 21 appearances for the Bianconeri across all competitions, all of which came in the 2021/22 season.

The left-back is rather solid in defence and can also function further up the flank if required. A good dribbler, Pellegrini is also a good passer of the ball and can link up well with players around him. This ability to function at either end of the pitch is a prerequisite for the modern-day full-back and should strengthen Marco Silva's attacking approach.

Pellegrini's playing style involves delivering several long balls and also crossing the ball into the box. This could be something Fulham could exploit, especially given Aleksandar Mitrovic thrives for them upfront. The Serb is due some joy in the Premier League, and bringing in the right players should aid him in doing so.

The Italian international, however, has certain facets of his game that he needs to improve upon. Pellegrini is prone to a lapse in concentration and also comes off second best in aerial duels. Surviving in the demanding Premier League is not an easy task, and the Juventus defender will be well served to enjoy a proper pre-season.

Juventus, for their part, are ready to part ways with the 23-year-old this summer. They are seeking a fee between €10 million and €15 million, something that can be considered cheap in the current market. Pellegrini is open to the idea of moving abroad amid links with West Ham United, and while Fulham are not top dogs in England, they are potentially a team on the rise with a bright future.

The Cottagers have an exciting young squad that could develop into top-flight mainstays should they get their act together. Pellegrini is an upgrade over Fulham's current roster of left-backs: Antonee Robinson and Joe Bryan. While there is still much for the Italian to prove, he is certainly an enticing option for Fulham.

Manchester United may be handed transfer reprieve as Fulham agree deal for forgotten man

Andreas Pereira has not been seen in a Manchester United shirt for some time but could now be set for a Premier League switch and a transfer that would boost Erik ten Hag's budget for the summer window

Manchester United look set to be handed a much-needed boost to their summer transfer budget after Fulham reportedly agreed a deal to sign forgotten man Andreas Pereira.

The 26-year-old has spent the past two seasons out on loan, most recently with Brazilian giants Flamengo, who had been set to sign Pereira permanently before a deal fell through earlier in the window. Now Fulham have stepped up to bring the midfielder in, as Marco Silva looks to add Premier League experience to his newly-promoted team.

As first reported by UOL, the Cottagers will stump up an initial £8.6 million to sign Pereira, who has one year remaining on his contract at Old Trafford. Up to £2.6m will then be paid in add-ons. His departure would help new manager Erik ten Hag in his bid to kickstart a new era at Old Trafford with signings that he wants, with his transfer budget not quite as fat as it would have been had the club qualified for the Champions League last term.

Player sales will allow Ten Hag to increase his spending spree, which the Dutch tactician hopes will include Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong and Ajax ace Antony - neither of whom will be coming cheap.

Flamengo, though, could still make a last-ditch attempt to secure Pereira's signature. Earlier this week, vice-president Marcos Braz declared in an interview with ESPN that they were still hoping to keep the one-time Brazil international. "Three months ago, it was widely reported that Flamengo had closed with Andreas," Braz explained. "A month later they said that Flamengo had left Andreas.

"And that's not it. Flamengo is still looking for an alternative for the player to stay here. It's very difficult , a very complex situation. He is a new player, who has a lot of market, and from a financially powerful club. So when you go to discuss some terms, you have limits to move forward on this topic, but Flamengo still works to keep the player."

Pereira - who graduated from the Red Devils' famous academy in 2014 before loans with Granada, Valencia, Lazio and Flamengo - most prominently featured for United under former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer between 2018 and 2020. Belgium-born Pereira has since 52 appearances for Flamengo, scoring seven goals.

Sadly, his time in Rio de Janeiro is so-far mostly remembered for an unfortunate mistake in the Copa Libertadores final, getting caught on the ball in his own half and gifting it to Palmeiras striker Deyverson, who slotted home in the 95th minute to give his side the illustrious South American trophy.

Even after the final, Pereira affirmed that he wanted to stay put, hoping to make amends for his error. "My wish was always to stay here at Flamengo," he declared to ESPN. "And now we're going to do everything. We'll talk to president Landim and Marcos Braz to make this possible. Of course, I have a feeling that I owe the fans a title. As I told them, they can count on me, I'll do my best so that next year we can come out with these titles here."

Fulham in talks with Manchester United to sign Andreas Pereira after making £11million bid for midfielder

Fulham have made an £11million offer to sign Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira.

The 26-year-old has not played for United since joining June 2020, having had spells out on loan at Lazio and more recently Flamengo.

Pereira remains on loan with the Brazilian side who had explored the option of making the arrangement a permanent one.

But according to The Mail, Fulham are offering him a return to the Premier League ahead of the 2022-23 season.

The newly-promoted side have made an offer worth £8.6million up front, rising to £11m with add-ons, according to the report.

Reports in Brazil have claimed Pereira could still have a future at Old Trafford with Erik ten Hag set to hold talks with the player over his role at the club going forward.

But United are ready to listen to offers with any funds generated through player sales set to help ten Hag in his bid to reshape the squad.

Reports suggest United have a summer budget of between £100m and £120m which can be topped up through player sales.

The club's pursuit of Frenkie de Jong is set to take a sizeable chunk out of that if they can get the deal over the line.

United are now thought to be close to agreeing a £69m fee with Barcelona with hope the deal can be wrapped up as early as next week.

Andreas Pereira: Fulham make £8.6m offer for Man Utd midfielder

Andreas Pereira played 48 games for Flamengo on loan from Manchester United

Fulham have made a 10m euros (£8.6m) offer for Manchester United's Brazilian midfielder Andreas Pereira.

The 26-year-old has been with United since 2014 but had his fourth spell out on loan last season when he joined Flamengo and played in the final of the 2021 Copa Libertadores.

Pereira has a contract with United until 2023, with the option of a further year.

However it seems unlikely he will be in new coach Erik ten Hag's plans.

He has played 75 games for United and scored four goals and had loans at Valencia, Granada and Lazio in addition to the spell with Flamengo.

PL newboys close to signing forgotten Man United midfielder for an eight-figure sum

Transfer News: Fulham agree deal to sign Andreas Pereira from Manchester United

According @Marcelo_Hazan and @UOLEsporte via UtdReport[h/t Manchester Evening News], Fulham have reached an agreement with Manchester United to sign out-of-favour midfielder Andreas Pereira.

Having been in United's ranks since 2012 when he joined the U-18 team from PSV Eindhoven, Pereira has spent a rather disappointing ten seasons on the books of Man United. Highly rated once upon a time, it is safe to say that he has not lived up to expectations.

The Brazilian midfielder has on occasions showcased the talent he possesses which is why he is rated very highly. Capable of scoring long-range screamers as we have seen in the past, his inconsistency has really let him down.

He got promoted to the first team in 2015. 75 games in seven seasons since where has scored just four goals and provided five assists and four loan spells later, the Brazilian has always been disappointing in a Red Devils shirt.

Even this season, Pereira who had been loaned out to Flamengo has failed to recapture any sort of form and has scored just one goal and provided two assists across all competitions. He is set to return to the Red Devils and be sold for good.

Fulham are said to be keen on giving the Brazilian another chance and signing him from Manchester United. They have agreed on a fee worth €10m plus €3m in add-ons to sign Pereria ahead of next season.

At 26, Pereira is still very young and has a lot of years of football left in him. Moving away from Man United could just be what the Brazilian wants to kickstart his faltering career and Fulham could prove to be a good launchpad for just that.

Playing in a team where he is trusted and given a consistent run to prove his worth might bring the hidden talent in the Brazilian playmaker. If he can chip in with consistent performances for Fulham, he could be a great acquisition for the PL new boys.

Man United might not have managed to get the best out of a player they initially imagined would be a great signing for them. Yet, they could still pocket at least €10m from his sale which could turn out to be good for them.

Andreas Pereira's chapter at Man United has been one to forget. It's time we take the money, move on and bring in better players for the future.

SENIOR ROLE Next Derby manager – latest odds: Liam Rosenior odds-on ahead of Sean Dyche after Wayne Rooney sensationally quits club

LIAM ROSENOIR is odds-on favourite to replace departing Derby manager Wayne Rooney.

Manchester United and England legend Rooney won rave reviews in charge of the Rams last season.

Rooney almost kept the club in the Championship despite starting the season with a 12-point deduction.

However, his time at Derby has come to an end as he announced his resignation.

Rooney told the club website: "Over the course of the summer I have been closely following developments regarding the ownership of Derby County.

"Today I met with the administrators to inform them of my decision that it was time for me to leave the club.

"In fairness to them, they tried tremendously hard to change my decision but my mind was made up.

"My time at the club has been a rollercoaster of emotions, both highs and lows, but I have to say that I have enjoyed the challenge.

"Personally, I feel the club now needs to be led by someone with fresh energy and not affected by the events that have happened over the last eighteen months."

But who's tipped to replace Rooney as Derby manager?

What do the odds say?

Bookmakers Betfair are tipping Rooney's assistant Rosenoir to be promoted.

The former Brighton ace is odds-on at 4/6.

Former Burnley manager Sean Dyche is at 4/1 with Betfair.

Third best is Frank Lampard, who nearly guided Derby to the Premier League in 2019.

The now Everton manager is at 6/1 with Betfair.

Steve Cooper performed a miracle at Nottingham Forest last season, helping the club go from being relegation-threatened to promotion to the top flight.

The Englishman is being tipped at 8/1.

Former Derby manager Steve McClaren is an outside option at 10/1.

However, the 61-year-old has just taken a job back at Man Utd as Erik ten Hag's assistant.

And John Terry is at 12/1 to land his first managerial role in professional football.

Chelsea Icon Terry insists he's "ready" for management following his departure from Aston Villa as assistant manager last summer.

However, the job has to be right for the former centre-back.

He said: "I'm ready to go into management and had been approached while I was at Villa, but those jobs wasn't right for me, I was always honest with the gaffer, I didn't want to start the season if a job come up."

He continued: "I'm ready [for management], I'm waiting but there's a lot of things that need to be right, I'm in no rush, just patiently waiting, if the right one comes along I'm also comfortable with that."
