Fulham and Crystal Palace 'getting serious' for Brazilian striker – Face Italian competition

Leaving Fiorentina in January 2021 to head to Flamengo for £12.6m after a year long loan there, Pedro's season hasn't gone all that badly so far.

He's scored nine goals and assisted another four in 34 appearances for the Brazilian side, and caught the attention of two Premier League clubs, Crystal Palace and Fulham, in the process.

This comes courtesy of TuttoMercatoWeb, who explains the Eagles and the Cottagers have joined Monza in Italy in following the player.

Their dream is to sign Mauro Icardi from Paris Saint-Germain, but the newly promoted Serie A side consider Pedro 'one of the most fascinating hypotheses' to bolster their attack.

The belief is that Flamengo could loan him out, before adding that two clubs in the Premier League are 'getting serious': Crystal Palace and Fulham.

It's no secret Marco Silva is pushing hard to bolster his squad in what will be a difficult season for the Craven Cottage side, but he at least knows there will be goals thanks to Aleksandar Mitrovic.

As for Patrick Vieira at Crystal Palace, he doesn't have a huge need for a striker, with Odsonne Edouard, Jean-Philippe Mateta and Christian Benteke already there, as well as Jordan Ayew.

Whether some might leave and make room for Pedro remains to be seen, but if the Italian website are to be believe, the Eagles and Fulham want the Brazilian.

What Scott Parker told Fulham man before transfer confirmed

Latest Fulham transfer news includes a loan.

Charlton Athletic new boy Steven Sessegnon has revealed he spoke to former Addicks player Scott Parker before deciding to move to The Valley.

Ben Garner's side have swooped to sign the full-back on a season-long loan deal from Fulham.

Sessegnon, 22, has been given the green light to leave the Cottagers on a temporary basis again to get some more experience under his belt.

The England youth international spent the second-half of the past campaign on loan at Plymouth Argyle, having previously had a stint at Bristol City.

Fulham academy graduate

Sessegnon has been on the books at Fulham for his whole career to date and has played 19 times for their first-team.

He played under the now AFC Bournemouth boss Parker, who was a hit during his playing days at Charlton, for a couple of years at Craven Cottage.

Sessegnon spoke to his ex-manager before deciding his new move and has opened up about his decision to join the South London outfit, as per the club's official website

"Not just him, I've had many conversations with ex-players and they just say it's a real good club. They look after you well, treat you right and it's a great platform to go and perform, so I thought, 'that's all I needed to hear'.

"I need to feel that energy, the love the fans have for the club and things like that are important to me. It just makes me want to play even better."

He added: "I've come here twice (The Valley) and I've enjoyed myself here. The fans really get behind their team and it's even better that I'm going to be playing under that, so I look forward to it.

"There have been big nights here that I've seen in the past so I look forward to being part of that."

Charlton have been busy since turning to former Bristol Rovers coach Garner last month. They have delved into the transfer market to sign Joe Wollacott, Mandela Egbo, Eoghan O'Connell and Conor McGrandles.

Other Fulham news

Sessegnon is the first Fulham player to have been given permission to leave on loan for the new season.

The club has parted company permanently with the likes of Andre Zambo Anguissa, Jean Michael Seri, Alfie Mawson, Michael Hector, Fabri and Cyrus Christie since the end of the last campaign.

'He's a star': £6m ace has chosen to join Fulham over Atletico Madrid

Former Israel star Eyal Berkovic says Manor Solomon has chosen Premier League newcomers Fulham over a move to La Liga giants Atletico Madrid, speaking to Sport5.

If you want proof of the pulling power of the Premier League, then look no further than Fulham.

The Cottagers have already managed to lure one of Europe's most effective defensive midfielders to West London; Portugal international Joao Palhinha swapping Champions League football for a potential relegation battle in England.

Solomon will join him. At last. The Athletic claim that one of the summer's longest-running sagas is finally coming to an end. The Shakhtar Donetsk winger will arrive on loan after a £6 million permanent deal fell through.

Now, it's common knowledge that ambitious Ligue 1 outfit Nice wanted Solomon. But, according to Berkovic, there was an even bigger club in the race too.

Fulham finally close in on Shakhtar Donetsk winger Manor Solomon

"Manor Solomon was supposed to sign for Atletico Madrid. Idan Ofer (the Israeli billionaire and a shareholder at Los Colchoneros) wanted him," Berkovic explains.

"And at the last minute, he decided to sign for Fulham. Diego Simeone could not meet him, but Fulham's coach (Marco Silva) did meet him."

"I'm a little surprised that he has no more offers. He is a football star and he is at his peak. Manor is a star."

Berkovic, formerly of Portsmouth and Manchester City, knows from experience how difficult it can be adapting to life in arguably Europe's most competitive division. And Solomon is swapping a Shakhtar side used to silverware for a Fulham team who have suffered relegation in both of their last two top-flight campaigns.

"He joins a team that will probably be at the bottom," Berkovic adds. "It's not Manchester City, who control the game all the time. At Fulham, he will see the ball less. Another thing, their pitch is very problematic. There is a tight atmosphere. I personally would hate playing there.

"We'll have to see how he adapts to English football. It's a different type of football. He has to know how to be cheeky.

"It will not be easy for Manor. The intensity is different, the pace is different. It's a huge difference."

'Transfer probability: 75%' – Arsenal man 'wants to play', not sit out contract

Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno has been given a 75% chance of leaving the club this summer, with Fulham interested in a deal.

That's according to SportBILD, who say the German goalkeeper needs to leave the Emirates this summer ahead of the World Cup in Qatar.

Leno found himself as the number two under Mikel Arteta last season after the arrival of Aaron Ramsdale, who quickly established himself as the number one with a series of impressive performances.

That's led to numerous reports that Leno would look to leave Arsenal this summer in search of the regular playing time he wants.

SportBILD pick up on that, stating that Leno 'wants to play again' and not 'sit out his contract on the bench.'

He can only hope to be a part of Germany's World Cup squad later this year if he gets 'minutes of action' and is in contact with Hansi Flick and his team about the situation.

Thus, he needs to find himself a new club where he will be the undisputed number one, and Fulham are 'interested' in a deal.

There's no mention of Arsenal's demands or whether Fulham would match those, just that they are an interested party.

The newspaper, though, does tag on a 'transfer probability 75 per cent' on the end, suggesting that as far as they're concerned, Leno will be on the move somewhere this summer.

Andreas Pereira medical to take place tomorrow as Man United exit nears

Andreas Pereira is all set for his Fulham medical tomorrow, as he closes in on a Man United exit.

Manchester United's squad is looking pretty thin on the ground right now, though that's not stopping Erik ten Hag from continuing the clearout.

It feels refreshing to have a manager at the helm who has a clear identity and plan. United's Dutch manager knows what he wants – and perhaps more importantly, knows what he doesn't want.

Sadly for Andreas Pereira, he falls into the latter category. Earlier today, news broke claiming that Fulham had agreed on a deal to acquire the midfielder.

Now, Fabrizio Romano has another update in that brewing saga. After reaching an agreement with Fulham, it's now been confirmed that Pereira's medical will take place tomorrow.

United will set the 26-year-old for a deal totalling £13million, which is a great sale price for a man who cost United very little to buy.

Pereira's contract at Fulham will run until 2026, with the Brazilian now having an excellent chance at playing week-in-week-out football in the Premier League.

Although it didn't work out here for Pereira, that doesn't take away from his talents as a footballer.

The Brazilian is an incredibly gifted midfielder who'll go on to enjoy a successful career within the sport. Sadly, it was just never going to work out for him here, with far too much competition in his position.

This is one of these rare transfers that suits all involved. Fulham are getting a cracking player, Pereira is getting regular football and United are getting a nice transfer fee.

Hopefully, the deal is all signed, sealed and delivered soon, giving Pereira plenty of time to settle into his new surroundings.

Fulham looking to complete deal to sign Arsenal keeper Leno

Fulham are looking to tie up a deal to sign goalkeeper Bernd Leno from Arsenal.

The promoted Whites have been in negotiations to buy Leno and an agreement now appears to be close.

Germany international Leno, 30, was signed by Arsenal from Bayer Leverkusen in 2018 but has since lost his place to Aaron Ramsdale.

He is in the final year of his contract at the Emirates Stadium and is eager to play first-team football.

The Gunners recently signed American keeper Matt Turner, paving the way for Leno to move on.

Fulham boss Marco Silva has been keen to sign a keeper this summer as his side prepare for the Premier League campaign.

Club Accelerate For West Ham Star, No Agreement On Add-ons To Fee

Fulham are pressing the accelerator in their pursuit of West Ham United defender Issa Diop, but do not yet have an agreement with the Hammers.

The Craven Cottage outfit want to reinforce their defensive options ahead of their return to the Premier League and have zeroed in on West Ham's Diop.

Diop has been linked with a move away from West Ham this summer and the club are prepared to let him leave for the right price.

West Ham have turned down an offer from Fulham of €12m, but according to French outlet Foot Mercato, they have gone back with a new proposal of €15m.

There is no agreement between the two clubs as bonus payments have yet to be thrashed out.

Fulham are though pressing the accelerator as they look to wrap up a swoop for Diop.

The centre-back has been chased by Lyon this summer, but Fulham look to be in pole position to secure his services for the forthcoming campaign.

Diop made just 12 appearances in the Premier League for West Ham over the course of last term, with David Moyes consistently preferring other options.

Fulham Move for Diop

There are reports tonight coming from foot Mercato saying that Fulham are looking to beat Lyon to the signing of West ham center back Issa Diop. The Frenchman has endured a tough time since joining the Hammers never really tying down a first team place at the London stadium, he broke through as a young defender at Toulouse in his native France earning rave reviews as a youngster and being linked to some top sides in Europe.

He has played for France at every youth Level and made 95 apps in all competitions for Toulouse, at West ham he has made 118 apps and scored 8 goals as he offers a huge presence in both boxes.

Fulham will have to fend off french giants Lyon if they want to sign Diop, the whites are said to have offered €15m but there are still some things to iron out according to foot mercato, the €15m though is more than the €12m the French outfit have offered and now it looks like the west London side have stolen a march in the race.

It will now be upto Marco Silva to convince the Frenchman to stay in London and help Fulham fight for their Premier League survival.

Fulham, Leeds United tracking Gerardo Arteaga

Fulham and Leeds United are keeping tabs on Genk left-back Gerardo Arteaga and hope to beat competition from other sides, including Brighton.

According to Marca, Leeds United and Fulham are interested in Gerardo Arteaga. Several other clubs across Europe are chasing the Mexican international, including Brighton from England.

Leeds United and Fulham have been quite active in the summer transfer window. Both teams need to strengthen several positions ahead of the new season as they continue to make their moves in the market.

Leeds and Fulham's search for a new left-back has seen them linked to Gerardo Arteaga. The Genk full-back has the attributes to improve the position at either side. The Mexican made 26 league appearances for the Belgian outfit last term, and joining a Premier League team would be a forward step in his career.

Brighton are also keen on the Genk star, as the Seagulls could lose Marc Cucurella to Manchester City this summer. Playing for the Seagulls under progressive manager Graham Potter may be a tempting opportunity compared to Leeds or Fulham, who could be embroiled in a relegation fight again.

Arteaga is currently valued around €3.5 million by Transfermarkt with a contract until 2023. However, Genk can extend his deal by another two years and then factor that value into their asking price. Other interested clubs from Europe may not be willing to pay significantly for Arteaga and may look at alternatives.

However, Leeds and Fulham could be in with a chance, as they could be in a position to pay Genk's asking price and offer a more lucrative deal to the 23-year-old. For Fulham, the Genk star could be an alternate option to their current targets, such as Luca Pellegrini, who is couring interest from other clubs.

Meanwhile, Leeds could see Arteaga as a player who can compete with Junior Firpo for the left-back spot. They have also lost Stuart Dallas to a long-term injury and would need someone with quality matching Jesse Marsch's requirements.

Leeds have been linked with 18-year-old left-back Zak Sturge, although he is headed to Chelsea as things stand. Hence a move for Arteaga makes sense, and also for Fulham, who are looking at other options including Ruben Vinagre.

However, Arteaga does not have much experience playing in the Belgian league. That could worry Marsch, although he has attributes that could see him succeed in England. The 23-year-old could be an equally good signing for Fulham, who have been very active in the market in the last few days. Whether they go for Arteaga remains a question.

Andreas Pereira set for medical in London ahead of United exit

Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira is closing in on a transfer to Fulham as details emerged about when his medical will take place.

There's already been a big clear out at Old Trafford this summer since over half a dozen United players have already left the club, but fans are becoming disgruntled at the lack of incoming transfer activity.

Of course, fans were happy to welcome Erik ten Hag's first signing to the club this week, as Tyrell Malacia joined from Feyenoord.

Now, another departure is upon us after United reached an agreement with newly-promoted Premier League side Fulham over the sale of Andreas Pereira.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the 26-year-old will undergo his medical in London tomorrow (Thursday) ahead of a move.

The Brazil international spent last season on loan at Flamengo but they were unable to match United's valuation of the player, despite Pereira making it clear he wanted to stay at the club.

The Athletic claimed earlier this week that Fulham have already had a bid accepted for the midfielder, although the offer agreed is higher, if you believe Fabrizio Romano's account of the situation.

Romano says Pereira will sign for Fulham until 2026, with the option for a further season. In turn, United will pocket £10 million plus £3m in add-ons.

That's a good deal for a player must fans will accept is surplus to requirements. If you add up the figures, United will get the money back for Pereira that it took us to sign Malacia!
