Upgrading Junior ST to adult ticket on the day of a game?

I usually take my nephew to games and he has a junior ST. He might not be able to make the game tomorrow but won't know until midday-ish tomorrow. Do you know if it's possible to upgrade a junior ST to an adult ticket at the ground a couple of hours before kick off?

I've done it both ways around and never even been stopped. However, you should call the TO just to be 100% sure.

Where I go in in the JH stand there are different lights that come on depending upon s/t presented at the turnstile. A kid using an adult ticket would be ok but you may have problems the other way round.
