Ah, so the Jacksonville Jaguars are in London this weekend?

I don't think Mr Khan is particularly interested in Fulham.

Imagine spending 80m on bothering to upgrade a stand for a club you continue to own and spend huge amounts of money on...even though ya not particularly interested in it.

Some people really have it in for these guys and it's just odd to me at this point.

Perhaps it would have been better if we had been bought by a Russian oligarch or a Middle Eastern prince instead of a bloke who sells car parts.

At no point did I say I was unhappy with Shad Khan. However his yacht is always here for the NFL game each year, not for any Fulham game.

He is clearly more of an NFL fan and it is his son who is interested in Fulham. I am not making any judgement on that, despite what you seem to have inferred. Remarkable to me that of all the things said on this forum, it's this that you are so bemused by!

He brings it over to keep the FA big wigs happy wining and dining them.Similar to the Dildo Kings looking after football officials.

I think it's slightly naive to think or suggest the huge amount of foreign money coming into the game and ownership of clubs is based purely on being into football. In fact in the case of the khan's I'd say when they first bought fulham it seemed pretty evident they knew very little about football and fulham.

For any owners the benefits of owning a club are tenfold, I'm sure there are tax and citizen benefits but it must do wonders if you've got the premiership club as a networking opportunity globally.

I appreciate he's put however much into the club for the stand but he will definitely be recouping that money with interest- why else do you think tickets are being sold for £100 a game.

He might write down that debt a la Al fayed but I'm sure there are numerous untold benefits to owning a club.

Didn't he acknowledge early days that one of Nike's global leaders was a fulham fan for instance? Very few sports have such significant global appeal.

If the stand did cost £80m it would equate to just over 1% of his wealth. Sometimes people forget how insignificant these sums can be to owners.

I don't know how much profit flex n gate makes a year but if sk is a billionaire several times over on the profits alone I'd be surprised if he won't be able to make that back relatively straightforwardly, not even mentioning the value of the business.

So, when he comes to games without his boat it doesn't count?

It only shows he is interested if he comes with his boat ( the one he is trying to sell )?

So when he sells it and has no boat, he will not be interested ?

HamsterWheel

Guess we'll see the Roar of the Jaguars at Fulham on Saturday :-)

Does it matter how long it takes his car parts business to make that money. SK has money that he is putting into Fulham. He isn't likely to go bust anytime soon which would put us in financial jeopardy. Just enjoy the fact we have an owner who is putting money in to the club and hasn't got his money from Putin or a family with horrendous human rights issues.

Just out of interest, do we know how many games Shad Khan has attended this year, or how many he attended throughout last year? I only ask because I'm never particularly aware of his presence. When Mo was at the Cottage you always knew but Shad could be there and I'd have no idea.

Even if it's correct that he only pops in when the Jags are in town, who cares? If he prefers NFL that's fine by me (although I'd personally find it inexplicable) as long as he continues his ownership of the club. Perhaps, as a previous poster suggested, it's Tony who enjoys football, in which case well done and thank you Tony Khan!

Agree. I have no issues with Fulham being an investment and I'd much rather us being used as such than some sports washing vessel.

Shahid used his yacht to entice Marco Silva to join us and so I'd say his investment in English football is pretty clear.   He is clearly a proud person who likes to be proud of what he owns including Flex'n'Gate, Jaguars, and FFC.  His investment in Jaguars is a considerably larger sum than FFC and he has made it clear that he enjoys the NFL games in the UK.  He's also come over to the UK to ensure that Marco is happy.

I don't profess to know what goes on in Shahid's head but from his actions I do not believe anyone can dismiss his love for FFC as easily as you appear to have done.
