The cheers actress has died of cancer, loved watching her in that series.

I am not an expert, but I think she was a Scientologist and refused treatments because of that (I think)

Sad news. Yes I think she was a scientologist by way of being friends with John Travolta. Very funny programme Cheers and Kirsty took over seamlessly from Sheryl Long.

Kirsty was great in Cheers, which me and my wife very much enjoyed watching every week - seems a long time ago now, watching a weekly series on TV! -though Kirsty was in quite a bit of stuff after that, including starring in many films, becoming a big star.
