Im just amazed people don't realise Mitro and Joao are already on 100k per week and the rest

No they're not.
I know there is a wage structure at the club, Mitro or anyone else is nowhere near 100,000 a week.

I think you will find that Mitro is actually on very close to that figure

He isn't even the top paid at the club.

It's unhindered free market capitalism - this is the society we live in.

Football generates money, profits for those who invest in it, like owners, TV companies, advertisers, and including owners who invest in clubs like Fulham: the club's a business asset to the Khans, if not as immediate financial profit.

No-one is doing anyone any favours - top players are offered the big money because they are essential to bring clubs success, and thus maximize the profits of those who own the club - they are an investment.

Odd that no-one seem to question the money paid to a top film  star, who can  help make big money for any film they are in , they are called 'box office stars' for this reason. And once a star loses appeal - through aging, particularly  for female stars, or just someone younger comes up, then suddenly the big money isn't forthcoming, same for footballers - if they get  too old,  long term injured, or just lose form - maybe a manager comes in with a style of play that doesn't suit them, for example , the  player. like the film star can go from  hero to zero.

It's usually been accepted in the entertainment- film, music, comedy, etc. - business that you 'make hay while the sun shines,' because  tomorrow  it could all dry up, but why don't we  think the same about football stars - they only have a short window when  they can make the silly money - can you blame them for  getting it while they can.

To argue - 'look at the health service , etc. in comparison- how can a footballer be worth more than a nurse?' is arguing for a different ideological system of government to what we have- which is a completely unfettered private enterprise, capitalist free market - where wealth making is encouraged because this has a 'trickle down' effect for the whole of society, it is argued.

But I believe Germany has some regulation of football, and a degree of community ownership and restrictions on ticket prices, transfers and player wages, and money being made from football.

But English football attracts the top players, because it's where the huge money is offered - to attract the best players to the top clubs - and keep them at the top, and making the huge money for investors and owners.

No footballer is worth that amount of money, it really is time for a wage cap.
Starting point should be Haynes's £10 per week updated for inflation.

Do you not mean £100 per week?

against leicester second half he went missing. as did the whole team. so lets not get carried away and build up our players to superhuman levels.
without doubt he has been a massive influence and one of the main reasons for our form this season. re how much a player is worth? compared to other players or compared to nurses teachers etc? money in football has been at insane levels for years now.
no going back.

If we encourage massive pay rises 100 pound seat prices will be a thing of the past,
