Quote from: Arthur on April 12, 2023, 01:22:48 PMPlayers such as Dublin, Sutton, Warhurst etc., who have been used successfully at both centre-back and centre-forward other than to try to rescue a losing position, all had rather more ability with their feet than Duffy, I would say.

Alright then lets try Tosin, Silva can try these options in training, he has to be seen to try something different otherwise his own reputation will suffer.

Certainly, our run of defeats is not enhancing our manager's reputation.

What we don't know is whether Silva already has considered this option - and concluded that Duffy and Tosin are no better than Vinicius. (In which case, Silva's reputation would likely suffer even more if he were seen to be desperately employing centre-halves with little-or-no ability to play as centre-forwards as his best plan to end our run of losses.)

Silva's reputation would swiftly nose dive if he lined up with a CB up front in a Premier League game, even Tony Pulis and Neil Warnock never resorted to that.

Not if we won, with a headed Tosin or Duffy hattrick - then he'd be a tactical genius.
