Report in the Times today

After the heading "Man Utd 2 Fulham 1", Ian Whittell's report of the game comprises 18 paragraphs, in which he manages to avoid using the word "Fulham" at all. In an article of just under 850 words, the only references to the other team on the pitch are:"Kenny Tete was left unmarked to head in Willian's near-post corner"; "Casemiro's momentum forced him to run into Tom Cairney"; and "but Alexsandar Mitrovic's effort was kept out superbly by De Gea". And that's it. More words are used to describe Rashford's inability to defend the corner which led to the goal than are used in describing the goal itself.

Absolutely astonishingly awful, shoddy journalism.
