Another terrible giveaway and this time we are rightly punished.

There we go. Now let's see if we can keep the score down.

MisfitKid

Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most...

cookieg

We just can't keep the ball. Our passing is way off as well.

Lazybones

Hard not to admit Spurs deserved that given the run of play :-(

Caedal

We are just too easy to play against.

Quote from: Deeping_white on October 23, 2023, 08:26:29 PMNot sure why there are people clamouring for Vini to start, he's got about a tenth of the football ability of Jimenez

Remind me how many goals Jimenez has scored with his 10x ability level?

90% of this board would've scored the chances Vini has taken this season & we don't create anything for Jimenez when he starts so I'm not sure what he's expected to do. Against better teams we need to keep the ball more and Vini keeps giving it away when it goes near him

So we never ever create anything for Jimenez but always create dead easy chances for Vini? Amazing.

Where did I say that, please point it out?

You said 90% on here would score Vini's goals I.e. dead easy & "we don't create anything for Jimenez". Simple.

The keeper dropped the ball to him for one finish and the other one he kicked a ball in from a yard that was already going in, or don't you remember that?

I can't believe Alan Smith, an former Arsenal player, has joined the Spurs love in.

He's likely just being "objective". There is a very clear gulf between the two teams.

Spuds are playing good football. Why would he not appreciate it?

Quote from: btffc on October 23, 2023, 08:18:08 PMPereira has been awful so far

He shouldn't be starting. Give me Iwobi or TC, Periera isn't the player he was last season.
was looking at peoples suggestions for the line up for tonight and pereira got in most peoples teams.  when tc came on for him last game - seems ages ago there was a definite upturn. but marco wants to stick with him. almost like his talisman. he said a lot of good things about him before signing him. i suppose a manager has his favourites and you watch pereira score now

TC's Sporran

some good build up play but that final ball from willian was woeful

cookieg

They're falling over themselves to score. We are looking very poor.

TC's Sporran

spurs very close to a second, almost d1cking around in front of goal too much. but we are getting chances on the break. just got to take one of them

I was thinking we were doing ok, but we always seem to have a mistake in us, and haven't been able to create from one of the (several) decent breaks we've had. There is a point in this for us, as they're far from perfect at the back, but we have to tighten up a bit.

Lazybones

Apart from the ill-judged pass that ended up giving Spurs the goal, Bassey has been good value imho.

Grassy Noel

Bsssey had done quite well up until the goal. The stupid thing was that it left Castagne out of the game when Spurs countered.

SimonDaviesEnjoyer

This seems a common theme this year... "X or Y was great up until the basic mistake that cost the goal".

I've seen Ream, Robinson and Tete all attract that description at some point in other games!
