Loan & New Deal For Bowat

We are delighted to announce that Under-21s centre-back Ibane Bowat has signed a new deal with Fulham until the summer of 2025, with a Club option to extend by a further 12 months.

The 20-year-old will also spend the 2023/24 season on loan at Austrian Bundesliga side TSV Hartberg.

"I'm delighted to sign a new contract and extend my time with Fulham," Bowat said. "I feel I'm developing well as a footballer, and the staff in the Academy and First Team have been excellent with me.

"Last season was a big step for me going to the Netherlands on loan and getting experience playing men's football, so it was important I continue to play senior football this season. Going on loan to TSV Hartberg in Austria will mean I'll be playing top flight football in Europe, against big teams, and it's an opportunity I didn't want to miss.

"They have a great setup, and playing under Markus Schopp, along with his coaching staff, was very appealing to me, so I'm keen to get started and taking part in their pre-season games."

Our Scotland youth international, who joined Fulham back in 2017, got himself his first loan move during the 2022/23 season, when he joined Dutch side FC Den Bosch before going on to make 16 senior appearances for the side.

Huw Jennings said: "We are delighted that Ibane has signed a contract extension to further his development with Fulham. The loan with TSV Hartberg should provide Ibane with a step up in level and be a good test for him."

Everybody at the Club would like to wish Ibane all the best for the upcoming season overseas.

FPL Prices Revealed

Aleksandar Mitrović and Andreas Pereira are Fulham's big price risers in Fantasy Premier League this season.

The pair's starting price has increased by £1m each compared to last year, after they both posted excellent numbers in 2022/23.

Mitrović saw his valuable quickly increase from £6.5m after he netted six times in as many matches, peaking at £7.2m. But having ended the campaign on 107 FPL points, the big man will cost you £7.5m from the off this time around.

Andreas was one of the game's most popular picks this time last year after being given a budget price of £4.5m, and he duly rewarded his owners with four goals and 10 assists, which helped him end the season on 123 points.

That averaged out to 3.7 points per game, a consistency which has seen his price rise to £5.5m going into 2023/24 – still decent value for a set-piece taker who plays attacking midfield.

Despite excellent returns for both those players, it was another who racked up the highest points tally in our squad.

Bernd Leno enjoyed a fantastic debut season in SW6, and he was also an excellent option in goal for FPL players, appearing in 10.4% of players' squads come the final match week – more than any other Fulham player.

Despite not featuring in the first two games of the season, Leno made more saves – which are very valuable in FPL – than any other 'keeper barring David Raya, and kept eight clean sheets, to end the season on a whopping 142 points.

That made him the best performing goalkeeper who began on £4.5m, a price he has kept going into the new campaign.

The only other player to have a price rise on last season is Harrison Reed.

It's little surprise given how much he offered at the top end of the pitch last season, with his three goals, four assists and nine bonus points seeing him worth 107 points to his owners – matching that of teammate Mitrović.

Reed was previously available for £4.5m, but you'll have to fork out £5m if you want him in your midfield this time around.

Willian could now inadvertently help Chelsea sell £120k-a-week player this summer

Chelsea could sell Callum Hudson-Odoi to Premier League rivals Fulham this summer with a bit of help from former player Willian.

That is according to The Evening Standard.

They explain that Fulham and Nottingham Forest are both want to sign wide players in this transfer window, with Callum Hudson-Odoi and Willian on the radar of each club.

It is understood that Forest are confident of beating Fulham in the race to sign 34-year-old free agent Willian, despite the latter offering him a contract to spend another year at Craven Cottage.

The report says that Willian heading to Forest would give Fulham an edge in the transfer battle for Chelsea's Hudson-Odoi, though.

The Evening Standard mentions that Hudson-Odoi, 22, wants to reject offers from Saudi Arabia to join a Premier League rival. Fulham, Forest and Crystal Palace are the top-flight English sides named as interested buyers.

We're not too surprised to hear there's a queue of clubs lining up for Hudson-Odoi this summer, but it's Willian who could inadvertently help Fulham sign the Chelsea player.

Hudson-Odoi, who earns £120,000-a-week (Spotrac), is strongly linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer.

It's no surprise considering The Telegraph reports Hudson-Odoi is currently training away from the main group at Cobham.

We recently heard from The Athletic that Hudson-Odoi is expected to be the next player to leave the club.

In our view, Marco Silva's Fulham could be a great new home for young attacker Hudson-Odoi, who needs to try get his career back on track and fulfil his potential.

Nottingham Forest could now 'sound out' £120k-a-week star at City Ground
Nottingham Forest are eyeing a £120,000-per-week star as an alternative to a prime Steve Cooper target

Nottingham Forest have set their sights on 'sounding out' Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi if Steve Cooper is unable to lure an alternative Premier League winger to the City Ground, transfer insider Dean Jones has told GIVEMESPORT.

Having secured top flight survival last season, the Tricky Trees are looking to bolster their squad ahead of the upcoming campaign getting underway next month.

Nottingham Forest transfer news - Callum Hudson-Odoi
According to FootballTransfers, Forest are among the favourites to land Hudson-Odoi after Chelsea have made it clear they are intending to cash in on their academy graduate before the summer window slams shut.

The report suggests Reds boss Cooper is an admirer of the winger, who made 21 appearances during a loan spell with Bayer Leverkusen last term, and he is on the market for £20million.

Hudson-Odoi has entered the final 12 months of his £120,000-per-week contract, meaning it is an ideal opportunity for Chelsea to seek a buyer.

It is understood that the 22-year-old has also decided that he wants to leave Stamford Bridge, having attracted interest from the likes of Fulham and AC Milan.

Respected journalist Jones recently told GIVEMESPORT that Forest would be willing to offer Hudson-Odoi a sizeable pay package in order to win the race for his signature.

What has Dean Jones said about Hudson-Odoi?
Jones understands that Hudson-Odoi does not feature in Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino's plans, which has led to interest from the Bundesliga and Serie A giants Lazio.

But the transfer insider is aware that Forest will up the ante in their pursuit of the three-cap England international if they fail to beat Fulham to Willian's signature.

Jones told GIVEMESPORT: "Hudson-Odoi needs to find a solution pretty soon as he's not going to figure for Chelsea next season.

"It's a case now of being very open-minded. He's been to Germany on loan and there are possibilities in the Bundesliga, for sure, while he's also being linked to Lazio. I have little doubt he could go to Serie A and shine - just as Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Christian Pulisic are hoping to.

"But there might still be a way for him to get a chance in the Premier League - we cannot discount that at this stage. One option I've heard that really might open up is at Nottingham Forest. They have been enquiring over Willian and, if that does not progress, I am led to believe they are interested in properly sounding out Hudson-Odoi.

"They are not afraid to go after big names, and it's clear they intend to show ambition right now as this second season in the Premier League is a real chance for the club to begin establishing themselves in the top flight."

What's next for Nottingham Forest?
According to the Evening Standard, Forest are confident of beating Fulham to Willian's services after Cooper has already held discussions with the Brazilian.

The report suggests the 34-year-old was involved in face-to-face talks with the Tricky Trees' chief and he has been offered better terms by the City Ground outfit, although he is still mulling over a contract put on the table by Fulham after rejecting their initial offer.

Willian became a free agent at the end of last month, when his £40,000-per-week deal at Craven Cottage expired.

The former Chelsea and Arsenal man racked up 11 goal contributions over the course of 30 appearances for Marco Silva's Cottagers.

Willian offered unique transfer by Premier League rivals in two-club deal

Former Arsenal and Chelsea winger Willian impressed at Fulham last season, but the Brazil international could soon find himself at a fourth different Premier League club

Nottingham Forest are closing in on a deal to snare Willian from Fulham - thanks to owner Evangelos Marinakis.

The shipping magnate is close to pulling off a coup for the 34-year-old Brazilian after raising the prospect of extending the forward's career by spending a year in Greece. Willian had been offered a 12-months at Craven Cottage but Forest are enticing him to the east Midlands with the promise of a further season at Olympiakos - which Marinakis owns.

The former Chelsea star returned to south-west London last term and helped himself to five goals and six assists during an impressive campaign for the Cottagers. But with the market having been upset by the arrival of huge offers from Saudi Arabia, several players have been examining their options.

Willian was courted by the Middle Eastern state but it appears that he now looks set for a spell with the former two-time European Champions as Steve Cooper looks to build on a roller-coaster first Premier League season. Forest finished 16th last season, four points outside the bottom three.

Cooper has already brought in his first senior signing of the summer, with Chris Wood joining in a permanent move following a spell on loan in which he scored once in seven outings. It appears Willian will join him imminently, with BBC East Midlands reporting that the veteran is set for a medical.

One loanee who doesn't look like returning, however, is Renan Lodi. The former Atletico Madrid star impressed in a left wing-back role, but reports on the continent suggest he is Marseille-bound in a permanent move.

Forest's Willian pursuit comes at a time when the club are preparing for life without Jesse Lingard and Andre Ayew. The pair, both signed on free transfers, have not extended their stays beyond the end of the 2022-23 season.

Ghana international Ayew and former Man Utd star Lingard have both yet to find a new club. The latter has been seen training at Inter Miami's facilities, and has also spoken about links with the Saudi Pro League.

"The project's got to be well-suited for me, the team's got to be going in a good direction," Lingard told Sky Sports in June. "Literally, it's just regular game time - I'm still hungry, working hard out here...

"Saudi Arabia are doing big things, and in the next year or so it will be one of the hotspots to go to. I'm not really surprised that loads of big names are moving out there. Obviously it's something I'm going to consider as well, I've not ruled that out either - like I say, it's just got to be right for me at the end of the day."

Willian completes Nottingham Forest medical as ex-Fulham winger nears transfer decision

Exclusive: Personal terms settled as Brazilian considers late Fulham offer

Nottingham Forest have taken a key step towards the signing of Willian after the Brazilian winger completed a medical on Thursday evening.

The 34-year-old reignited his career at Fulham last season but rejected a one-year offer to extend his contract at Craven Cottage.

Fulham have been keen to restart negotiations and have offered an improved package, which Willian is still considering having recently held talks with Forest boss Steve Cooper to hear out their proposal.

Should he choose Forest, Willian will sign a lucrative deal to play at the City Ground and could have the option of finishing his career in Greece with Forest's sister club, Olympiacos.

The option of staying at Fulham was initially Willian's preference yet the terms on offer were deemed unsatisfactory, leaving Marco Silva searching for replacements.

The Cottagers have also lost Manor Solomon after his free transfer to Tottenham.

However, they will hope that the path is clear for them to sign Callum Hudson-Odoi from Chelsea while a £20m deal for Fluminense midfielder Andre Trindade is set to be completed.

Willian: Nottingham Forest set to sign Brazilian winger

Willian won 70 caps for Brazil

Brazilian winger Willian is having a medical before a potential move to Nottingham Forest.

The 34-year-old former Brazil international made 30 appearances for Fulham last season.

He is set to become Forest's first summer signing after striker Chris Wood's permanent arrival from Newcastle was confirmed in February.

Forest made 30 new signings last summer following their promotion to the Premier League.

Willian joined the Cottagers on a free transfer after leaving Corinthians in August 2022.

The former Chelsea and Arsenal winger had been offered a new deal to extend his stay with Fulham.

He scored five goals and made six assists as he started 25 Premier League games for the West London club.

Forest begin the new season against Arsenal at Emirates Stadium on 12 August.

Fulham 'have not let go' of summer target – 'All-English derby' going on for signing
Fulham may be struggling to match Fiorentina's request for the transfer of Igor, but that doesn't mean they'll give up on that signing so soon.

Earlier on Thursday, we covered reports from the Italian media which said Brighton & Hove Albion had joined the tussle for the transfer, now being in 'open negotiations' for the 25-year-old.

Now as CalcioMercato.it features an update on this race, they highlight there's a battle between Fulham and the Seagulls for the transfer.

The outlet makes it clear that the Craven Cottage side 'have not let go' in this battle, while Brighton have joined the race in the past few hours.

Even though there's been recent rumours saying Villarreal are also interested in Igor, Calcio Mercato claims that according to their information, it's an 'all-English derby' between Fulham and the Seagulls for the transfer.

As previously reported by the same outlet, Fiorentina's request for the transfer is €25m, although that figure has fluctuated wildly in recent weeks.

The Italian media recently claimed that Fulham don't want to go beyond €8m, so there continues to be a huge gap that may benefit Brighton in this race.

Fulham get response over £18 million bid for 'exciting' Portuguese defender
Fulham have seen an £18 million bid for Portuguese defender, Morato rejected by Benfica as Marco Silva sets up his search for a new centre-back this summer.

The report from the Daily Mail states that Fulham have a long-held interest in the centre-back. Talks reportedly began with Benfica last week and it seems a bid for the 22-year-old has been made, although it seems the offer falls short of the Portuguese giants' valuation.

The defender struggled with injury last season, after featuring in the opening four games and doing well, an ankle injury stopped that good progress in its tracks. This meant the defender didn't feature again for Benfica until the turn of the year and has been limited to just nine league appearances this season but has made 21 appearances in all competitions this season.
SL Benfica v CD Santa Clara - Liga Portugal Bwin

The defender was signed four years ago from Brazilian giants Sao Paulo and has since gone on to make over 50 appearances for the first team but he is seemingly determined to make the move to the Premier League.

'He's asked to leave'
According to the same report by Sami Mokbel in the Daily Mail, the player is keen to make the move to Craven Cottage and has told Benfica that he wants to leave in a bid to accelerate the move.

The defender is what you could describe as a modern-day centre-back. According to FBREF, the player excels with his passing, particularly his progressive passing, as well as his progressive carries. It would be a smart addition for Fulham if they could get the deal over the line, dependent on what Benifica will demand for the 22-year-old.

At six-foot-two, Morato would also be competent in the air for Fulham and a potential weapon from set-pieces. It would also be a smooth transition period for the defender, with former Sporting player and fellow Portuguese international, Joao Palhinha ahead of him, it will surely make his adaptation to the Premier League an easier one.

Fulham: £40k-a-week star now 'adamant' about leaving Craven Cottage
Fulham's £40,000 per-week earner is looking to engineer a move out of Craven Cottage this summer.

Fulham may have to sell a key player who is "pretty adamant" about his own ambitions at Craven Cottage, transfer insider Dean Jones has told GIVEMESPORT.

The Cottagers hope to build on last season's impressive top-half finish on their return to the Premier League.

Fulham transfer news – Tosin Adarabioyo
According to the Evening Standard, Tottenham Hotspur are keen to bolster their left-sided centre-back options and have identified Tosin Adarabioyo as a target for Ange Postecoglou's backline.

The 25-year-old has less than a year remaining on his £40,000 per-week contract at Craven Cottage, hinting that the west London outfit could be forced into a sale if they want to make a significant return on his services.

And the same report says the defender is ready to leave Fulham after talks over a new deal broke down, with Ligue 1 outfits Rennes and Monaco interested in making a play for the former Manchester City man.

Meanwhile, Jones has recently told GIVEMESPORT that Wolves are interested in signing the 6 foot 5 colossus as head coach Julen Lopetegui looks to rebuild his side at Molineux.

The transfer insider claims that Wolves initially looked at signing Adarabioyo two years ago.

But with the player looking for a new club, he could become more attainable for the West Midlands outfit this month.

Though the defender wants to step up to a club like Tottenham, a move to the Black Country may be something he has to consider if a switch across London fails to develop.

And Jones believes Adarabioyo is "pretty adamant" that he wants to leave Fulham this summer, with his initial move to Craven Cottage supposedly being a stepping stone onto bigger things.

What has Jones said about Fulham and Adarabioyo?
Jones told GIVEMESPORT: "It depends on what his own ambitions are. Adarabioyo seems pretty adamant to be on his way out of Fulham at this stage.

But the whole point behind that was supposed to be that Fulham was a stepping stone to something bigger.

"So, I can understand why Wolves would be having a look at this. The people around Adarabioyo are looking at alternatives in case a move to Tottenham doesn't come off."

Who else could leave Fulham this summer?
After enjoying a surprisingly comfortable return to the Premier League last season, it's no wonder that some of Fulham's key players could leave Craven Cottage this summer.

According to Sky Sports News, Fulham have rejected a £25.5m bid from Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Hilal for striker Aleksandar Mitrovic and told buyers that he is not for sale.

However, sources close to the player informed the outlet that the 28-year-old, who bagged 14 Premier League goals last term, wants to leave the west London outfit to make the move to Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, The Guardian reports that West Ham United are interested in securing midfielder Joao Palhinha's signature after losing captain Declan Rice to Arsenal.

However, the Portugal international could cost at least £50m, as Fulham desperately cling on to their core talents who made them such a successful unit last season.

im Ream 'All For Promotion and Relegation' in U.S. Soccer

The USL is considering adopting a promotion and relegation system.
Fulham and U.S. Men's National Team defender Tim Ream said he is 'all for' his home country adopting that system.

Fulham and U.S. Men's National Team defender Tim Ream sees lots of upside in the United Soccer League's potential move to adopt a promotion/relegation system.

"I'm all for promotion and relegation," Ream said on Front Office Sports Today. "It puts a lot of pressure on relegation — and when you have pressure, you can see who can handle things and who can't."

"To start it in the USL is a good jumping-off point," he added, "with the value of teams being a little bit less."

Implementing a promotion/relegation system in a more established league would present huge challenges. The annual loss in value teams would experience from relegation would make the idea a nonstarter for many team owners and executives. The sale valuation of Leeds United dropped from a reported $651 million to $209 million when 49ers Enterprises purchased the team in 2022 following its relegation.

Ream sees the promotion/relegation system potentially spreading across American soccer if it's a success for the USL: "I think a lot of people will be [watching] with one eye on how it goes."

The USL already has a tiered system in place, with a 24-team top league, the USL Championship, and a 12-team second division called League One. League officials will vote next month on implementing a system in which League One teams would be promoted on an annual basis, replacing low-performing USL Championship teams.

In the most recent Premier League season, with Manchester City assured of a league title, the drama at the end of the year centered on which teams would be relegated to the Championship.

"It's like that every year," Ream said. "People don't realize in that situation how much extra pressure there is. The storylines and the craziness of it all ... That's where you see who has what it takes, and who might crumble."

Fulham hoping to sign Brazil midfielder offered to European giants

Fulham are trying to sign Andre Trindade
Fluminense midfielder debuted for Brazil this year
Barcelona, Liverpool & Arsenal approached by 21-year-old's representatives

Fulham are hopeful of beating some of Europe's biggest clubs to a deal for Brazil international midfielder Andre Trindade, 90min understands.

The Fluminense midfielder was a target for Fulham in January. They could not get a deal over the line then, but their interest in the 21-year-old has remained.

Fulham were close to a deal at just under £20m during the winter transfer window, but any agreement now may have to be nearer the £25m mark. Since the Cottagers' initial interest, Andre has made his full international debut and a number of clubs are taking a keen interest in his future.

90min understands that the likes of Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham and West Ham have all been spoken to by the player's representatives in recent months. But it is Fulham who are making a firm push and are confident of finalising a deal.

Fulham are yet to make a breakthrough in the transfer market this summer, but they have already lost out to Tottenham over Israeli winger Manor Solomon. They could yet see Willian move on as the veteran Brazilian has turned down the opening offer of a new contract and is now weighing up options elsewhere, despite an improved offer on the table.

The club are also battling to fend off Saudi Arabian interest in both their manager manager Marco Silva and star striker Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Willian looks set to sign for Nottingham Forest

Willian looks set to reject a new contract at Fulham and move to Nottingham Forest.

The former Chelsea winger joined the Whites last summer on a free transfer after returning to London after a difficult spell with hometown club Corinthians in Brazil.

He enjoyed a superb Premier League campaign, with five goals in 27 appearances.

Manager Marco Silva said at the end of last season that keeping the 34-year-old at Craven Cottage was a priority.

However, Forest have usurped the one-year deal tabled to Willian by Fulham and he is poised to sign a two-year contract with Steve Cooper's side.

Willian has a medical at Nottingham Forest... but the Brazilian free agent could still return to Fulham for a second term after they made a rival offer

Brazilian free agent Willian has undergone a medical at Nottingham Forest
But he could return for a second season at Fulham after a rival offer was made
The former Chelsea and Arsenal star stunned for the Cottagers last term

Willian underwent a medical at Nottingham Forest on Thursday night, as talks advance over a deal for the Brazilian, though Fulham have made a rival offer.

The 34-year-old has just had a good year with the Cottagers in West London, aiding their way to a top-half finish with five goals and six assists to his credit.

However, the winger rejected Fulham's initial proposal to remain with the club for another season - and has undergone a medical in the Midlands as he weighs up his options.

He was also spotted at the training ground, as he considered the prospect of a move to the City Ground - which is thought to come with a better offer than that tabled by his former paymasters in SW6.

The Brazilian is expected to make a decision imminently, with Saudi Arabian clubs also looming with lucrative financial offers.

The former Chelsea and Arsenal player is a two-time Premier League winner with the Blues, as well as winning the UEFA Cup in 2009 with Shakhtar Donetsk and the Europa League 10 years later with Maurizio Sarri's Chelsea.

Willian earned 70 Brazil caps between 2011 and 2019, scoring nine times, most recently during their run to winning the Copa America in the last year of the 2010s.

Fulham were one of the surprise packages of the season in their first campaign back in the English top-flight, as they finished in the top half of the table. Nottingham Forest finished in 16th place, securing their status in the Premier League with a week remaining.

If he does join Nottingham Forest, he would be the club's first summer signing, after striker Chris Wood's permanent arrival from Newcastle was confirmed in February.

Forest begin the new season away to Arsenal at lunchtime on August 12, the same day Fulham kick off their campaign on the road at Everton. The two sides are set to meet in the Premier League on the evening of December 5.
