I happen to think this is good for MLS as it is beginning to look like the old US football league where every old star went to play for a bit when they really had retired. No need to reinvent the "sacred elephant burial ground" for footballers.

I like MLS to mix in some experience, but 36 year old trouble maker Savage from the Championship isn't the solution. They should try focusing on creating a viable good living alternative and perhaps stepping stone to bigger and better things for young American talent and develop that.

Not a big fan of introducing expensive foreign players in the sunset of their career. If Pele and Beckenbauer couldn't make it a viable way to go in the past, Robbie Savage certainly isn't going to.

I agree, if he's mostly a trouble maker MLS doesnt need him.  But I didnt know much about him so I appreciate the background info.  Also agree that MLS shouldnt be a burial ground, I think teams should be very careful about bringing in "retired" stars.  Beckham good idea gone bad, Marquez bad idea, Henry mostly plays like he's retired, but there's still time to come good.   McBride good idea but then everyone knew he would deliver.
