All your post match Ipswich thoughts here after tonight's 3-1 win at Portman Road.

Goals from Harry Wilson, Rodrigo Muniz and Tom Cairney see us through to the next round of the Carabao Cup

Generally ok but not great - an understandably much changed Championship team who are currently 2nd in the table so have a clear priority.  We had some very good individual performances - Wilson, Ballo Toure, De Fougerolles, Bassey and Iwobi when he came on.  Rodak a bit flaky, TC doing his thing at Championship level, Lukic not forceful enough.  And their keeper helped us a lot.  But, we won and we are still in it. Seemingly no new injury worries and Man U got stuffed again tonight.  Game on on Saturday!

Iwobi must surely start from now-on-in.

Bassey the warrior

Decent performance all round but Muniz and Bassey in particular were excellent. Impressive debut by De Fougeroulles. Scoring three in an away game whoever the opposition is a good result.

The only downside was Rodak looked very uncomfortable in distribution, luckily they didn't target him. I'd also like to see a bit more zip with the passing, we were a bit ponderous and predictable for much of the game.

Who is Tanton? U21 I realise, and only a couple of minutes of game time,  but I havnt noticed him being mentioned at all...

Somerset Fulham

Two much changed sides obviously but this was a case of the better boxer controlling the centre of the ring and able to step it up whenever they wanted.

It was a stroll, really.

Great full debut for De Fougerolles, Bassey looked great too, as did BDR. Ballo Toure though, he was outstanding. Obviously he hasn't got the pace of Robinson but on a one off viewing he does seem to be a very good footballer with a much better cross and ball control than Jedi.

he came to us a couple of years ago. I remember because of the distinctive name.  Playing this season pretty regularly for the u21s at right back.  U21 highlights are available free on the club site.

Delighted for muniz and hope he's fit to play v man u Saturday.

I thought immediately of them two comments when I saw the team sheet, totally confused me as I was like 2 rbs? 🙃

"How's that?"
"Don't you start"

People are actually sad and lying about how we played because all they want to do is complain. Completely dominated them for the entire game at a canter. Looked 5 leagues apart even with it being our reserves.

RaySmith

Well played Fulham, great performance, with very encouraging performances from the youngsters.

Woolly Mammoth

A good night all round for Fulham, well satisfied, it's all on the night and Fulham done the business.
Its not the man in the fight, it's the fight in the man.  🐘

Never forget your Roots.

Only seen the 5 minutes of highlights but it looks like BDR had a tremendous game.

Regular in the U21s, think he's American. Viewed as a good prospect (along with a few others in the current U21s squad).

I don't think anyone else on this thread so far is lying.

No matter how many leagues apart you think we may have looked, this, in itself, doesn't mean there is nothing the players can aim to improve upon in future.

I understand that, for some supporters, the result and the performance are pretty much one and the same: Win and there are no negatives to be found. Lose and the negatives are magnified.

Others, however, look further than the score line. The result is vital, of course. But it isn't the be-all-and-end-all that it is for some.

I'm not suggesting one way of seeing the game is better. But your assertion that anyone who expresses anything other than complete satisfaction with last night's performance must be lying simply isn't true.
