My name is Steohen and I was a grand child, too, when I was little.

I have two magnificent grand daughters but failed to make them Fulham fans.
They live near Watford and their dad is a 50% Watford fan /50% Man.U. fan. Always thought I had a chance of driving a black and white wedge in there but the proximity of the Watford ground was too much for me.

Be sure to work hard on keeping that new born in the Fulham stable.
Who do they support Filham? My three grandchildren by my youngest son are aged 5, almost 6,  and under and live in Wales.  They are allowed to be Wales for rugby but England and Fulham for football!!!  Fingers crossed but nothing like taking children to an actual match to get them hooked, which is what I did with my two sons!
I managed to get the grand daughters to the odd match at the Cottage, even to the Wembley play off final, but their dad's influence at home and peer pressure at school has made them into strong Watford fans.

Well at least they have roots there and can never be considered glory hunters! I get so hacked off with people taking the proverbial when I say I'm a Fulham fan. Saying I was born there and there would never be any other team for me doesn't seem to be sufficient, almost as if I should have searched for a better team to support! My father's name is engraved on the George Cohen statue, forever Fulham, says it all ..

Congratulations all round. Reuben, who is three already, has been an absolute game changer for me and I might not be able to run marathons but I side step Lego on the carpet like a ninja. All the best.

Big congrats mate!

Getting the little ones hooked may well be a struggle, especially when not living in the UK. I took my then 4 year old to the friendly against West Ham last december, and it was a big hit. We also watch all FFC matches on the telly (he's not overly interested in watching football yet, but I'm trying to get him hooked). I am however afraid that all his friends at school will have Man United, Liverpool etc. as favourite teams.

At least now he's started playing football himself he's decked out in the full FFC kit, so hopefully my continued efforts will help him stay on the right path.

Whatever happened to interviewing boyfriends right at the start, penned in by the radiator with spaghetti bog for tea, and carrying out assessments as the relationship evolves. I had two milk bottles by the front door. If he looked a 'poor choice' that door would be thrown open and the seventeen security lights would fire up just in the nick of time. "Oh it's you, might as come in now love".
Might actually get a milkman one of these days.

Have to say some of my best memories are with Caitlin at the Cottage and a few aways. Enjoy them all when they come around.

I would never have believed that until my grandson was born 10 months ago

As a grandparent you have a different love for them, forget the bit about you can always give them back, I cant wait to see him each time. We are lucky that we see him every week or second week but the development and the things he does now compared to last time is magical
Sure we have whats app videos etc but just seeing him each time is amazing
I have already bought him his first kit so I can pull him away from his dad who supports Bournemouth
Remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
I will be as good as I can be and when I cross the finishing line I will see what it got me

Exactly this - they are so precious and endearing.  I have 2 grandsons (coming up age 3 next month, and age 2) and a grand daughter of 12 months.  All 3 are Fulham fans, though my granddaughter doesn't yet realise it.  The 2 boys have been to pre-season friendlies. They all have kit/apparel and my almost 3 year old when asked if "Do you like Arsenal, ..... Spurs... Chelsea....etc etc " says "NO, I like Fulham"   ::scarf::
