If the question is "starting this year" as in 2023, and it couldn't be Fulham, would be Brighton. Wonderfully fun club, great to watch as well.

My original boyhood club was Manchester United due to my Irish family and Roy Keane, but wouldn't touch them in 2023.
Someone once asked me, "Why Fulham?".
My response, "Well, lad, you just haven't seen the light yet"

Scary question. Dad arrived in Blighty from Ireland in the late 50s. He went to Brentford but was made to feel unwelcome as he was not a local. Went to the Ha-Has next, but was horrified by the amount of abuse they were spewing out. Went to the Cottage next, was made welcome and enjoyed the humour, hence I am FFC. In this alternative universe I imagine his next port of call would have been the Blue mob. Presumably a fair few of ours would also be there (no FFC, remember), raising their calibre by several dimensions. They would be humourous and welcoming,an oasis in a desert, and that would presumably make me one of them.

I am going to go and wash my hands after typing that out.
