Was played in a role totally unsuited for him and was subbed out of most games and he's the object of their hate? Some brilliant fans those.

Can't say I'd complain if he retired from international football. Would be better for us. Hope he gets a lot of love on his return against Villa.

Yes, I noticed he was trending on Twitter/X so I had a nose.  Not seen any of the actual content but there are calls to stop the cyber bullying so guess he has taken the brunt of some abuse since yesterday.
