Tottenham Hotspur eyeing free transfer for 26-year-old PL defender but face Liverpool battle
Tottenham Hotspur will have to fight Liverpool for the signature of 26-year-old PL defender.

As reported by Sky Sports, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool are both showing an interest in Tosin Adarabioyo. The 26-year-old Premier League defender is currently playing for Fulham but his contract runs out at the end of the summer.

The Lilywhites are looking to add some depth to their defensive line and there could be nothing better for that than a free transfer. Tosin is a decent player and will go a long way towards reinforcing the bench.

However, Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool will not make it easy for the Spurs. The Reds will be playing Champions League football next season, which might not be true for Tottenham. Ange Postecoglou's squad is currently fourth in the Premier League.

Even though they have a game in hand over Aston Villa, both teams have the same amount of points. If the Lilywhites slip up and Villa takeover Liverpool will gain an advantage in the pursuit of Tosin.

But, it has to be asked whether signing the 26-year-old even on a free deal will be a good move. Tosin has missed 15 games due to injury this season. If you've followed the Spurs this season you will know just how much they have struggled with injuries.

At one point things got so bad that Ange Postecoglou was deploying his fullbacks at CB just to have some sort of defensive line. So, signing Adarabioyo who is another injury risk might not be the best move available to the team.

Chelsea have surprise FFP transfer saviour as £20m deal possible after seven-figure windfall
Latest Chelsea transfer news with an Armando Broja update giving the Blues hope to solve their FFP concerns

Armando Broja could hand Chelsea a major boost as the club attempt to balance their financial books. The Blues have spent big since Clearlake Capital took control of the club and now face another summer where they must work quickly to sell players in order to comply with profit and sustainability rules.

The likes of Conor Gallagher, Ian Maatsen, Marc Cucurella and Trevoh Chalobah have all been linked with an exit from Stamford Bridge and Broja looks set to join that list. Following the arrival of Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson, minutes for Broja appeared limited and even with injuries plaguing the squad, that was certainly the case.

As a result, the Cobham academy graduate was looking for a new club in January with the decision made he would join Fulham on loan until the end of the season. In the short-term deal, a number of assurances were included to ensure the move worked out for both parties with one of those to do with a minimum number of appearances.

Over two months on from moving to Craven Cottage, Broja is yet to start for his loan club and because of that Fulham will have to pay the full £4million loan fee. The emergence of Rodrigo Muniz has significantly affected Broja's minutes with a five-minute cameo against Newcastle this past weekend, his first appearance in three.

Despite his lack of match action in 2024, Crystal Palace are interested in signing the Albania international, as per journalist Simon Phillips. The Eagles are willing to part ways with £20million to sign the 22-year-old, however that may not suffice for Chelsea as they look to receive up to £50million.

However, any fee being acquired for Broja could be a significant PSR boost for Chelsea as he spent over a decade in the club's academy. Therefore, any money for his sale could arrive as pure profit on Chelsea's books which can help their fragile financial situation.

Signing a striker is one of many transfer priorities for the Blues this summer with forgotten star Romelu Lukaku expected to be sold which would end his second spell at Stamford Bridge after three years. In terms of incomings, Victor Osimhen remains an option with Sporting CP's Viktor Gyokeres another target following his scintillating first season in Portugal.

Notts County should push for fresh Fulham, Luca Ashby-Hammond deal
The on-loan Fulham goalkeeper joined the Magpies in the January transfer window

Relief among fans as Notts County ends home win drought since December, securing a vital win in League Two.
Luca Ashby-Hammond's penalty save proves crucial in turning the tide for the Magpies against Harrogate Town.
Ashby-Hammond's strong performances could lead to potential transfer interest given his difficult spell at Fulham.

Notts County earned a long-awaited home success against Harrogate Town in their latest League Two encounter, relieving a massive weight off the shoulders of head coach Stuart Maynard.

The Magpies had been without a win at Meadow Lane since their 5-0 victory over Morecambe back in December, failing to win in front of their home supporters in 2024 on a run that included five consecutive defeats.

You could sense the relief among the fans once referee, Jacob Miles, drew the whistle to his lips to call for the end of proceedings, with that outpour of emotion spilling out in the form of fist bumps from John Bostock and the Notts head coach, something that has been craved for such a long time in NG11.

But the outcome of the encounter could have been much different if it wasn't for Fulham loanee Luca Ashby-Hammond, who arguably swung the contest in favour of the home side with his penalty heroics early in the second half.

Ashby-Hammond provides crucial moment in Notts County's season
Having seen Macaulay Langstaff net his 25th league goal of the season from the penalty spot after Aaron Nemane was fouled inside the area, the visitors would find themselves in a position to level the game which has become all too familiar for the Magpies this term.

Aden Baldwin's high foot on Abraham Odoh saw Notts concede a 15th penalty this season, the most of any side in the top four divisions in English football and five more than the next-placed team, West Ham United.

Of those penalties faced, 12 have been scored and many were fearing the worst given the run of form at home and in the league in general.

Ashby-Hammond had failed to save any of the three penalties he had faced since his move from Craven Cottage, admitting after the game he did not feel the most confident in repelling George Thomson's effort from 12 yards out.

However, the 23-year-old produced a brilliant save to deny the Harrogate captain, sprawling low to his right to palm the ball away with a roar of relief and emotion evident around Meadow Lane.

His intervention proved to be the catalyst for the Magpies to go and earn a much-needed three points, with Jodi Jones firing in a superb header before a third from Jim O'Brien secured a maiden home win under Maynard's stewardship, which will do him the world of good after a difficult start to his tenure at Meadow Lane.

Ashby-Hammond's Harrogate performance should confirm transfer interest
Having joined the Cottagers in 2021, the former England youth international has found it difficult to make an impression on Marco Silva and force his way into the first team.

During his time with the Premier League club, Ashby-Hammond has been sent out on loan four times, spending time in the National League with Stockport County and Aldershot Town during the 2022/23 season, before joining Crawley Town at the start of this campaign.

His season-long loan with Scott Lindsey's side was cut short due to a lack of appearances, joining Notts instead in January until the end of the season. Despite not having a regular run in the side, with Maynard continuously changing his starting goalkeeper as he continues to work out his best team, Ashby-Hammond has proved his ability with his gloves and his feet.

The 23-year-old has managed two clean sheets in his last three starts, while also providing an assist for Alassana Jatta's second goal against Bradford City, with the impetus of having a ball-playing goalkeeper pivotal to the philosophy of the way Notts want to play.

But the number one shirt has been a position in which a lot has been talked about in recent years. Sam Slocombe has often claimed the starting position, despite the arrival of Aidan Stone in the summer from Port Vale being the possible solution.

However, a difficult period at the start of the season, coupled with niggling injuries, resulted in Stone missing most of the second half of the campaign, with Ashby-Hammond brought in as a result.

In a position that is so important to any team, it is imperative that the Magpies are confident about their options moving into next season. The emergence of Tiernan Brooks in spells last season is identified as a possible avenue to explore moving forward but Ashby-Hammond has also put his name in the hat as a possible option for Notts to consider in the summer, with opportunities at Fulham seeming unlikely.

It offers Notts a situation of potentially picking between four different options ahead of next season and Ashby-Hammond's availability – either on a permanent deal or on loan – should be something that the recruitment team at Meadow Lane are exploring already.

£50m Man Utd transfer talk will baffle Middlesbrough supporters: View
Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz has enjoyed a remarkable turnaround in fortunes since his disappointing loan spell at Middlesbrough.

Middlesbrough fans may be shocked by Muniz to Man Utd rumours.
Muniz initially promising for Boro with high hopes, fell out of favor due to inconsistent form.
Manchester United potential transfer would require hefty fee for Muniz after his remarkable rise at Fulham.

Middlesbrough look set to face another year in the Championship next season.

Boro missed out on promotion as they were beaten by Coventry City in the play-off semi-finals last season and their inconsistency in 2023/24 means they are unlikely to secure a top six finish this time around.

One of the main problems for Boro is that they have been unable to replace the quality of those who departed in the summer, including the likes of Zack Steffen, Ryan Giles, Aaron Ramsey, Cameron Archer, and Chuba Akpom, who all played a key role in last season's success.

Another player that left the Riverside Stadium in the summer was striker Rodrigo Muniz, who returned to Fulham at the end of his loan spell.

Muniz endured a tough year on Teesside as he fell out of favour following Carrick's arrival, and it seemed highly unlikely that he would be involved for Marco Silva's side in the Premier League this season.

However, after breaking into the Cottagers team, Muniz has become one of the in-form strikers in the top flight, and recent links with Manchester United will leave Boro supporters questioning how he has experienced such an incredible transformation.

Middlesbrough supporters will be stunned by Rodrigo Muniz to Manchester United speculation
Muniz was seen as one of Boro's marquee signings when he joined on loan from Fulham in the summer of 2022, and after being handed the number nine shirt, there was hope that he could be the man to fire the club to promotion.

The 22-year-old was immediately thrown into the team after his arrival, and he impressed during what was a poor start to the season, resulting in the sacking of Chris Wilder in October 2022.

Muniz continued to feature under caretaker manager Leo Percovich, and he started Carrick's first game in charge, a 2-1 defeat at Preston North End.

However, that would prove to be his final start for the club, and he went on to make just five further substitute appearances, frequently being left out of the matchday squad altogether.

When asked about Muniz's continued omission from the squad in January 2023, Carrick told Teesside Live: "Rodrigo has been great, he's trained fantastically well and he's a really nice lad. It's one of those things when you've got a big squad and good options. Unfortunately, at certain points, some players play more than others, and some play a bit less. That's something we're conscious of and trying to improve. But that's the constant balance that we face."

Given the outstanding form of Akpom and Archer, Boro supporters hardly noticed Muniz's absence as they surged up the Championship table, and a lack of goals was certainly not a problem for Carrick's men.

Muniz departed after scoring just two goals in 17 appearances for Boro, the last of those coming in mid-September, and his future at parent club Fulham looked uncertain heading into the transfer window.

The Brazilian remained at Craven Cottage, but despite the exit of Aleksandar Mitrovic, he found himself on the bench for much of the first half of the season, with Silva preferring Raul Jimenez ahead of him.

There was speculation that Muniz could be set for another loan move in January, with Bristol City and Queens Park Rangers said to have been keen, but he has been given an opportunity in recent months, and he has taken his chance, scoring eight goals in his last 10 league games to become one of the most dangerous strikers in the Premier League.

Such has been Muniz's remarkable form, there has been talk about potential interest from elsewhere, and GIVEMESPORT claim that Manchester United, who are believed to be Muniz's dream club, would have to pay around £50 million if they want to land his signature this summer.

Silva admitted that Muniz's loan spell at Boro was underwhelming, but he believes that the challenges he faced on Teesside have made him stronger.

"Last season unfortunately wasn't the best on the pitch. The loan, we decided something for him, was not the best. We have to be realistic, but at the same time he grew in a different way. Some difficulties for him to face, and sometimes even if you don't grow playing football matches you can grow in a different way, and even so I think it was a moment for him to think about himself, what he should do, to be in a good level, and of course he came back," Silva said, quoted via Teesside Live.

The Cottagers boss predicted last week that there is "much more to come" from Muniz, and as his stock continues to rise, Boro supporters will surely be wondering what could have been if he was given more of a chance by Carrick.

Leeds United make 'enquiry' regarding Manchester City man also linked with Fulham
Leeds United have reportedly enquired about the possibility of a shock homecoming for Kalvin Phillips.

The midfielder left his boyhood club Leeds in the summer of 2022, joining Manchester City for a fee reported to be worth £45m. However, he struggled for game time under Pep Guardiola and was loaned out to West Ham United in January.

It was hoped the loan switch would revive his career but the 28-year-old has failed to hit the ground running. Recently, he was filmed making a swearing gesture towards a fan as he boarded a coach.

According to French outlet Sports Zone, Leeds have made contact with the midfielder's representatives regarding a potential return to Elland Road. He is also said to be on the radar of two Premier League clubs ahead of the summer.

Reports have suggested Fulham are eyeing a move for Phillips, who needs to get his career back on track if he is to make a return to the England set-up. Despite having been a regular for the Three Lions over the last three years, he was omitted from Gareth Southgate's most recent squad.

His Euro 2024 prospects now appear bleak and he has been afforded just 21 minutes of action over the course of West Ham's last four league games. Manchester City are said to be preparing to sanction a permanent sale, keen to recoup £30m on their investment in the Leeds academy product.

Crystal Palace could throw Chelsea £20m PSR helpline
Armando Broja's loan spell at Fulham isn't working out, but Crystal Palace may not have been put off courting the striker.

Crystal Palace could offer Chelsea a £20 million financial lifeline this summer, but the Blues may think twice before accepting the deal from their London rivals.

The future of striker Armando Broja is sure to be a talking topic this summer as the Chelsea man is seemingly surplus to needs at Stamford Bridge. The Albanian was shipped out on loan to Fulham in January but hasn't been able to get a look in with Rodrigo Muniz in fine form for the Cottagers.

Chelsea have banked a sizeable loan fee of £4 million from Fulham but had hoped that Broja would find form at the mid-table side and increase his value ahead of a summer sale. That has not happened, but journalist Ben Jacobs believes it has not put off Crystal Palace from inquiring about a deal.

The Eagles are said to be ready to risk £20 million on Broja, who has just two Premier League goals over the last two campaigns. Football.London find that a fee of that size would be a huge benefit to Chelsea with the club struggling to comply with profit and sustainability rules after a period of heavy spending.

Broja is a graduate of the Chelsea academy and his sale would represent pure profit for the club. However, the Blues are said to want a fee of closer to £50 million and could prove their own enemy in striking a deal with such a lofty price tag.

Mauricio Pochettino is known to be looking to bring in a striker this summer to add potency to his Chelsea attack - the likes of Ivan Toney, Callum Wilson, Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres all linked in recent windows. Those deals might not come cheap and would need to be offset by the sale of players such as Broja, with the forgotten Romelu Lukaku also destined to leave.

Fulham selects IMG to support sales of 'world-class' experiences
Fulham FC has signed a multi-year agreement with IMG to support its hospitality sales for the Premier League football club's new Riverside Stand at Craven Cottage.

As part of the deal, IMG will support the club on hospitality sales on both a seasonal and match-by-match basis and help with marketing initiatives and account management for the stand.

Alistair Mackintosh, CEO of Fulham, commented: "We're delighted to welcome IMG supporting the on-sale of a new set of extraordinary football hospitality experiences in the New Riverside Stand.

"Their reputation, vast experience, and reach will add enormous value to our new and impressive destination in the Capital, making them the right partner to support the sale and delivery of new world-class matchday experiences at Craven Cottage."

Last month, Fulham unveiled a first look at the luxury matchday experiences inside in its redeveloped Riverside Stand. The club revealed the stand would feature several matchday experiences, such as fine dining, a sky deck to look out over the River Thames and an intimate football experience where guests are seated directly behind the coaching staff.

This partnership builds on Endeavor-owned IMG's past projects in football, such as conceptualising, launching and managing the Club Wembley programme at Wembley Stadium, which it has done for nearly 20 years.

Additionally, the sports, events and representation company also played a part in UEFA EURO 2020, as the exclusive hospitality sales agent in the UK and Ireland.

Jordan Nicolson, Senior Vice President of Global Sports at IMG and On Location, said: "We're incredibly excited to partner with Fulham FC, a club and ground steeped in history.

"The new Riverside Stand will redefine the matchday experience at Craven Cottage, offering flexible options to those football fans and businesses wanting anything from a quick bite to eat and beer pre match within a sports bar environment, to a table on the water's edge with a glass of champagne and Michelin-calibre dining.

"These new best-in-class facilities, set looking out over the iconic River Thames, cannot be matched!"

West Ham join Man Utd in race for 'nightmare' Fulham transfer
West Ham have joined the race for the Fulham star who seems destined to leave Craven Cottage come the end of the season.

West Ham are the latest club to be linked with a summer swoop for highly-rated Fulham centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer.

The 26-year-old's deal at Craven Cottage is set to expire this summer and the player and club are yet to come to an agreement on an extension. It means that the defender could exit Fulham without the West London club receiving a transfer fee.

That would be nothing short of a nightmare situation for the Cottagers. Not only is Tosin widely regarded as their top centre-back and very difficult to replace, but the club would not even benefit financially from his departure.

Football Insider reports that West Ham have 'joined the race' for the player with space for improvement in the position at the London Stadium. Konstantinos Mavropanos is fast making one of the roles his own but there remain questions over other options in Kurt Zouma, Nayef Aguerd and Angelo Ogbonna, with the latter's deal set to expire this summer.

Adarabioyo's physicality and comfort with the ball at his feet is a huge attraction for Premier League clubs with LondonWorld reporting last week that the defender had been named as a target by new Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

In recent months, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Monaco and AC Milan have all also been named as interested suitors. Tosin has been at Fulham since 2020, having arrived for around £2 million from Manchester City.

The Cityzens were also believed to have included a 20 per cent sell on clause in the deal, but obviously would not benefit from financial windfall should Tosin leave on a free transfer this summer.

Speaking about the contract situation, Fulham boss Marco Silva said: "The reality, and what I can say to you now, [is] we are speaking with them and their agents. What we try to do is to have them with us. Our ambition, and what we want, is to have them with us next season again."

Report: Newcastle keen on 'special' Fulham player set to become a free agent at the end of this season
Newcastle United are on the hunt for bargains this summer as the Profit and Sustainability stranglehold shows no signs of easing.

Today's report that the 'luxury tax' option for PSR is seen as a non-starter will come as a huge blow to Eddie Howe who'd have been hoping to finally flex Newcastle's financial muscle, but instead, the directive continues to be - find quality and find it cheap.

Several rumours have popped up this week linking Newcastle to players nearing the end of their contract which is the ideal way to pick up quality players for a smaller fee - although they often make outrageous wage demands to compensate.

A report in iNews has now claimed that Newcastle have their eye on Fulham's Tosin Adarabioyo who is out of contract this summer.

Despite having surgery this season he looks strong as an ox
The report suggests that Tosin Adarabioyo has caught the eye of Eddie Howe with the 26-year-old's contract situation one that makes a move all the more likely.

Adarabioyo has made 18 appearances in the Premier League for Fulham at centre-back this season after missing a chunk of the early part of the season after undergoing groin surgery.

Since the end of November, however, he's missed only three games with only one of those down to an injury. He's completed 90 minutes in every game he's started in since his return after his surgery, so it doesn't look like his injury record should be anything to worry about - until our lot get hold of him.

Adarabioyo is a graduate of the Manchester City academy
Adarabioyo graduated the Manchester City academy but never made a first-team appearance for the Cityzens, but was loaned out to West Brom and Blackburn before Fulham picked him up in 2020 after former Magpie Scott Parker got them back to the Premier League.

Marco Silva hailed Adarabioyo as a 'special' player in an interview with beIN Sports saying he's a leader in the dressing room.

"He is a key player for us. He is one of the leaders in our dressing room and we need these guys to step in in the right moments and he did it.

"We missed him a lot, we missed him because he didn't play the first three months of the season. Tosin is a special player for us, I can't hide that situation.

"The way he can defend the box but also on the ball he is a special player for me, the way I want to play, the way he can build (from the back).

It might not be a name that will get Geordies too excited, but given our current predicament with central defenders, bringing a Premier League-proven centre-back in on a free can't really be a bad thing.

Fulham, Crystal Palace 'battling for Bundesliga defender'
Fulham and Crystal Palace are reportedly interested in signing Union Berlin defender Danilho Doekhi.

The 25-year-old has caught the attention of several European clubs since joining Union from Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem in 2022.

Doekhi featured in 25 Bundesliga matches in his first season with Union, helping the club achieve Champions League qualification for the first time in their history.

Although Union have experienced a tumultuous 2023-24 campaign, Doekhi has continued to be a regular fixture when available, having started all 18 of his Bundesliga appearances this season.

Despite being a key part of Union's backline, the centre-back is being linked with a move away from the German capital.

According to Football Insider, Fulham and Palace are among the clubs showing an interest in Doekhi ahead of the summer transfer window.

The report claims that the Premier League duo are considering whether to move for Doekhi, who could be available for a cut-price deal.

Doekhi is set to enter the final 12 months of his contract and it appears unlikely that he will sign a renewal with the Bundesliga side.

In addition to the two London sides, Italian giants Roma have recently been linked with a potential move for the Dutch defender.

Premier League duo looking for defensive reinforcement
Fulham have seemingly identified Doekhi as a potential replacement for Tosin Adarabioyo, who is out of contract at the end of the season.

Although the Cottagers are keen to extend Adarabioyo's stay, he is said to be attracting interest from AC Milan, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

Fellow London club West Ham United are also believed to be in the mix, leaving Fulham to draw up contingency plans in case Adarabioyo decides against extending his stay at Craven Cottage.

Meanwhile, Palace are expected to sign a new centre-back this summer, especially with speculation surrounding Marc Guehi's and Joachim Andersen's long-term futures.

Palace boss Oliver Glasner will be aware of Doekhi's qualities, having previously faced the Dutchman during his time as Eintracht Frankfurt boss.

Tosin will not start in a Spurs team no matter how good he is or thinks he is. He might get in 'Pool but that will be sporadic. It's the same Carvalho situation who thought the grass was greener on the other side and ended up having to eat grass in Hull!

If Silva shows ambition Tosin would be smart to sign a new deal at Fulham. where he is a regular first-team choice.

He can only sign a pre-contract agreement with clubs outside of England. Thus, unless he has already ruled out a move to another PL club, he'll have to wait until the season has ended. I am sure there are several European clubs that would have gladly signed hmi had he wanted to at this stage.

Just a couple of observations:

Adarabioyo's head must be swelling to gargantuan proportions with all this so-called interest in his services.

Just have to snicker a bit when I see Chelsea putting 50M expected price tag for Broja, a player that can't crack the FFC lineup.
