Does anyone else see that Arsenal are adopting a modified version of what the bottom 10 teams do? They are conceding a lot of possession right now, knowing we cannot break them down. They know they will get their possession and chances, but wont let us play on the counter.

Its been extremely effective and could see more top teams do it. I know its not always in their nature to concede so much possession, buts its working.

Well, Tim Sherwood says Marco Silva will be "fairly happy" with our performance, so let's just keep things in perspective here...

We have not failed to score in two consecutive games this season and the last time we failed to score on the road was on the opening day. So the omens are good.

Dreadfully one note from us again

Slow, sloppy, devoid of energy. You'd never know we had one of the fastest players in the league on the pitch...done nothing to get Adama going on the right , he's been given nothing to run onto and this formation doesn't keep him out wide enough on the byline where he's most effective.

Defensively, we've been good, bar Castagne and to a lesser extent Robinson. I wish we were more brave with the ball in certain situations. I'd sub on Sess for Robinson at half time, and if we still seem to struggle, Willian or Iwobi for Andersen or Diop. Muniz for Raul around 60th minute alongside AP for ESR. Last sub, whoever needs it the most out of the remaining players, be it due to their fitness or performance.

The difference between the low block today and the way Palace played it, is chalk and cheese. If we're going to park the bus, then we need to show some occasional intent to try and score, when we do get into the Arsenal half.

They have Eze and Sarr (and Munoz).

Traore is faster than all of them,  but he's been coached to look for a pass, instead of railroading straight at the goal and, at least,  trying to score.

Time to respond positively. Get Sess on. He at least looks capable of scoring. Why can't we find a right sided player who will give Castagne some help?  Get Traore off and Iwobi on. Iwobi may be off form and dog tired but he offers much more both offensively and defensively. Muniz is a more physical 9 than Raul and might put himself about. Cairney a better bet than a disinterested SR.

We're too conservative, afraid to commit players to the counter attack. Lukic needs to be getting forward more and Berge shouldn't be afraid to make the odd forward run given we have three CB's.

We're making things far too easy for Arsenal.

Our season has absolutely fizzled out out. The players look tired, lack ideas and just seem to be going through the motions. Our build up is slow, predictable and easy to defend against. Is it lack of squad depth as to why Marco doesn't rotate? Is he trying to send a message to SK about the need for better players. Has Marco run out of ideas having been here so long. What could have been a really good season with a Wembley appearance in the semis is turning into a disappointment.

Still, still only 1-0 with the second half to play.
Maybe swap the speedier Sessegnon for ESR, Muniz for Raul and play a more direct counterattack.
Worked a treat against Tottenham.
