Fulham have 'negotiations underway' for signing – Official offer awaited
On Thursday, Trivela stated Fulham have made advances in their pursuit of Fluminense's André Trindade and that his agent has travelled to London to hold talks with the Premier League side.

It was also reported Marco Silva's side have made a bid of around €25m to the Brazilian club.

Trivela's claim is now partly backed up UOL, who provide their take on Fulham's efforts to sign the midfielder this summer.

Fulham have sold João Palhinha to Bayern Munich yesterday. They have identified André as the main candidate to replace the Portuguese midfielder, and want to make progress to secure his services.

The London club have tried to sign André in the past, and have held talks with Fluminense. They have resumed contact in recent weeks, and the report says Siva's side have 'negotiations underway' with the Brazilian club for the 22-year-old.

Trivela said the Premier League side have made a proposal for the player. UOL indicate no bid has arrived at Fluminense as they are 'still waiting for an official offer' from Fulham for André.

UOL add the player is expected to leave this summer, indicating that an offer from Fulham should arrive at some point in the coming days or weeks.

Fringe Socceroo swerves A-League to remain in Europe after Fulham exit
Australian midfielder Tyrese Francois will remain in Europe after being released by Fulham, snuffing out rumours linking him with Western Sydney Wanderers.

Francois, who left Craven Cottage at the beginning of the month after eight years on Fulham's books, is in talks with several clubs, with father and advisor Jean Francois suggesting his future should be resolved imminently.

Conjecture surfaced several days ago linking the 23-year-old with an A-League switch to WSW.

However Jean Francois told FTBL on Friday: "Tyrese has options in Europe and the UK and won't be returning to Australia.

"He hopes to have his future resolved within the next week or so."

Francois was called up by Socceroos boss Graham Arnold for a two-match friendly series against New Zealand in September 2022, but was an unused substitute in the the second of those matches.

It's no doubt the former Olyroos mainstay would have been capped at senior level had he broken in the Cottagers' first team.

Not helped by injuries, he only managed four appearances for under Marco Silva's reign before being ultimately let go.

During his time in west London, Campbelltown-born Francois also had loan spells in Croatia and Denmark, and he possesses the technical qualities to thrive on the Continent, or possibly the Championship, with his next move critical to his career progression and international future.

Former Wolves, Leicester City, Sheffield United, Huddersfield, Derby and Fulham man announces retirement at 36
An experienced EFL defender that played for Wolves in three decisions has decided to call it a day.

Former Wolves defender Richard Stearman has announced his retirement from professional football.

The Wolverhampton-born defender has called it a day after a 20-year career which saw him play mainly play in the Championship, where he was a part of two promotion winning teams. Stearman's last club was Solihull Moors of the National League, and he ended up playing 26 matches before calling it a day.

In a social media post, he began with: "As players we all know that this day will eventually come. However, it has always somehow seemed in the future. That another season playing will just happen, as that's what we do."

"Well for me that day has now arrived. After 20 years and nearly 600 appearances I am announcing my retirement from professional football.

"Reflecting on my career I feel incredibly fortunate and proud to have represented the clubs I have. Thank you to all the managers, coaches, general members of staff and my agent Tam. Without you guys none of it would have been possible."

Stearman's career began at Leicester City, where he played four Championship campaigns before moving to his hometown club. Stearman joined in 2008 and helped the club win promotion to the Premier League, playing top-flight football for three seasons, and also stayed when the club dropped to League One.

The 36-year-old ended up making a total of 234 games, and later went on to play for Ipswich Town and Fulham, before a brief return to Wolves in 2016. The other clubs in his career include Sheffield United, Huddersfield Town and Derby County.

In total, Stearman made 585 appearances in his club career, and also made four appearances for the England under-21 national team. He won the Championship and League One with Wolves, and also won automatic promotion with Sheffield United.

He continued with; "To the fans. Thank you for your continued support throughout. As Covid proved, the game is a shadow of itself without you. I feel grateful to have built a special bond with many of you. Please know I have loved my time at each one of your clubs. I am and will continue to be a fan of them all."

"To my parents and sister. Thank you doesn't seem to be enough. Your endless sacrifices have made it possible for me to live my dream. I hope I have made you proud."

"Lastly to my incredible wife Beth. My biggest supporter through the good times and bad. You have given me three beautiful children for which I am eternally grateful for. Your love and support has meant the world to me. Our family is my greatest achievement."

Fulham, Tottenham, West Ham United rival Chelsea in Francisco Conceicao chase
Fulham, Tottenham Hotspur, and West Ham United are reportedly providing stiff competition to Chelsea for 21-year-old Portuguese international Francisco Conceicao.

According to a report by Graeme Bailey on HITC, Francisco Conceicao is the subject of interest from Chelsea. The Blues are keen on bolstering their offensive department in the summer transfer window. However, they will face stiff competition from Fulham, Tottenham Hotspur, and West Ham United for the FC Porto attacker.

Who is Francisco Conceicao?
Francisco Conceicao has gone from strength to strength since joining FC Porto from Ajax. A native of Coimbra, he spent most of his formative years in his homeland, although he began his youth career at PAOK. His youth career in Portugal began with Sporting CP before a short spell with Padroense FC.

The 21-year-old has come leaps and bounds in the last half a dozen years, although he has travelled a bit before finding a stable footing. Conceicao made his first-team debut for FC Porto in the 2020/21 season but joined Ajax in July 2022. Porto re-signed Conceicao last summer, with the youngster spending the 2022/23 campaign on loan at Estadio do Dragao.

The Portuguese attacker's progress helped him break into his national team, and he was part of the squad at UEFA Euro 2024. Meanwhile, Francisco Conceicao's exploits have not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, Fulham, Tottenham, and West Ham United. Meanwhile, the youngster's release clause will rise from £25 million to £38 million on Monday.

A man in demand
Chelsea's interest in Francisco Conceicao is understandable. The Blues have been keen on signing a wide attacker heading into the summer transfer window due to the inconsistencies of Raheem Sterling, Noni Madueke, and Mykhailo Mudryk. So, the FC Porto prospect is one of several attackers on Chelsea's radar.

As for Fulham, they have lost Bobby De Cordova-Reid, with Willian's long-term future uncertain. So, several wide attackers, including Reiss Nelson, are on Fulham's radar, with Conceicao also an option worth considering. Meanwhile, Tottenham might part ways with Manor Solomon and Richarlison this summer. The Portuguese international has thus emerged as a target for Tottenham.

Meanwhile, West Ham United are in a spot of bother over Lucas Paqueta's long-term future due to his betting scandal. So, they have set their sights on Conceicao over a possible summer move. With his release clause rising from £25 million to £38 million in a few days, it will be interesting to see if Chelsea, Fulham, Tottenham, and West Ham are ready to trigger it to land him.

Sheffield United outline punchy Vinicius Souza demand as Fulham circle

Sheffield United wants £30m for Vinicius Souza, but Fulham values him at just £15m, complicating potential transfer negotiations.
With Souza looking to leave, United could benefit from lowering their asking price to facilitate his departure and reinvest in the squad.
It may be best for United to sell Souza if he's unhappy, as restoring unity is essential for a cohesive and strong team under Wilder.

Sheffield United have set a £30m asking price for Vinicius Souza amid interest from Fulham and other sides across Europe.
This comes from a recent reveal by Alan Nixon on his Patreon account, where he has claimed that the Blades will not be easily parting ways with the in-demand Brazilian midfielder following their immediate return to the Championship following top-flight relegation.

United face a significant summer of rebuilding ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, with a host of household names at Bramall Lane already having departed, and many more players set to before long. United must also source incomings too, while their ongoing takeover has proved restrictive to their transfer business so far, but could pay dividends later into the window if completed.

Souza looks destined to depart this summer, despite only arriving at the club last August from Belgian outfit Lommel. Having previously spent time out on loan with Espanyol in La Liga, Souza appeared in all but two league fixtures for Chris Wilder's side as they finished bottom of the pile last season.

Sheffield United set Vinicius Souza price tag
Nixon's report reveals that United have placed a whopping £30m price tag on Souza, who is reportedly keen to leave South Yorkshire after their relegation from the Premier League.

Marco Silva's Fulham are said to be eyeing Souza following the move of star midfielder Joao Palhinha to Bayern Munich for an initial £42m outlay. Fulham would like to acquire Souza as a direct replacement but value the 25-year-old at just £15m, half of United's valuation.

Whether an eventual agreement can be struck between the two sides remains to be seen, but the report adds that Souza has been offered to clubs across Europe ahead of what appears an imminent departure either way.

Sheffield United must lower Vinicius Souza asking price
It's little wonder why Fulham aren't currently meeting United's valuation.

Souza is talented, and it's clear why Fulham want to replace Palhinha with another combative midfielder who excels at breaking up play in the middle of the park, but even still, you still have to ask if he's a £30m player yet.

Vinicius Souza's 23/24 Premier League stats for Sheffield United, as per FotMob
Appearances             36
Goals             1
Assists             0
Successful dribbles             17
Tackles won             76
Interceptions             32

It's common practice for clubs to administer extortionate asking prices for prized assets in this day and age, but given that Souza wants to leave and is probably replaceable, they'd benefit more from lowering their asking price, sanctioning a sale and reinvesting that money back into a squad that sorely needs reinforcements.

It's simply not worth keeping Souza around if he's unhappy and wants out either. Wilder will no doubt be looking to restore unity and fight into a side that looked so divided and beleaguered in the Premier League. He never takes to players who could potentially upset the apple cart, and you get the impression that Souza could be one of those.

Andre Trindade in 'advanced negotiations' as agent 'travels to England' after Liverpool €30m bid rejected
Liverpool's Premier League rivals are closing in on the midfielder.

He was someone who Liverpool were unsuccessful in signing last summer.

When the Reds were in need of a new defensive midfielder, following the surprise exits of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho, their search took them to South America - Andre Trindade's name became swiftly accustomed to Kopites.

There was plenty of intrigue around the unheralded Brazilian. The clips of the Fluminense man were watched, due diligence conducted and sections of supporters convinced he could be Liverpool's short and long-term answer.

Yet the Reds were unable to get a deal over the line. Fluminense were steadfast that Andre would not be departing the club as they set their sights on becoming Copa Libertadores champions for the first time. Globo reported that Liverpool had a reported €30 million bid turned down.

Flu president Mario Bittencourt insisted that the Reds could reignite their interest in Andre once the Brazilian season was over. He said: 'In the case of Liverpool, I go even further. Liverpool's chief executive contacted me directly. And I replied to him: 'My friend, I don't sell players now and I don't deliver now'. If you want to buy now to take in January we can start talking, or if you want to wait until December and we talk in December."

In fairness to Fluminense, their decision reaped the rewards. They indeed went on to achieve Copa Libertadores as they defeated Argentinian giants Boca Juniors in the final at the Maracana.

Yet when the January transfer window opened, Liverpool did not make a fresh move for Andre. The Reds were happy with the performances of Wataru Endo, who made a surprise arrival from Stuttgart in the summer, while Alexis Mac Allister also had been operating in the No.6 position after being recruited from Brighton.

There has been some talk about whether Liverpool could look to sign a new defensive midfielder this summer. Endo has turned 31 and has admitted it might not be a bad idea should the Reds add to their options.

But if Slot does indeed feel that reinforcements are needed, Andre is one who Liverpool cannot turn back to. That is because the 22-year-old looks set to joins the Reds' Premier League rivals.

Fulham have now sold Joao Palhinha to Bayern Munich for £47 million plus add-ons. The Cottagers are aiming to replace the Portugal international, who has been regarded as one of the best players in his position in the Premier League.

nd Marco Silva's side have identified Andre as the player to do so. Trivela reports that Fulham are in 'advanced' negotiations' and his agent has travelled to London to tie up the deal. The Cottagers have made a bid of around €25 million but Fluminese want closer to €30 million.

Exclusive: Fulham at Risk of Losing £230,000-a-Week Trio After Palhinha

Fulham are eager to hold onto Bernd Leno, Antonee Robinson and Andreas Pereira after sanctioning Joao Palhinha's departure earlier this week.
Cottagers boss Marco Silva is fearful of his squad being left decimated if further key men are allowed to embark on a fresh challenge.
Manchester United, Chelsea, Aston Villa, Atletico Madrid and Saudi Pro League big-spenders have been circling for Fulham's top performers.

Fulham are doubling down on their efforts to keep Bernd Leno, Antonee Robinson and Andreas Pereira at Craven Cottage as boss Marco Silva is desperate to ensure that more regular starters do not follow Joao Palhinha through the exit door, GIVEMESPORT sources have revealed.

The Cottagers suffered a serious blow in their preparations for the 2024/25 campaign as the Portugal international completed a switch worth more than £47million to Bundesliga heavyweights Bayern Munich earlier this week, resulting in plans being made to draft in a replacement with the new season looming.

Palhinha's departure came a matter of weeks after Tosin Adarabioyo headed to Chelsea, having snubbed several contract offers made by Fulham, and Silva is putting pressure on vice-chairman and sporting director Tony Khan to fend off any interest in key men ahead of the August 30 transfer deadline.

Cottagers Unwilling to Sell Key Trio This Summer
West Londoners eager to make sure Palhinha was final big-name exit
Fulham are determined to hold onto the remainder of their standout performers instead of giving in to the temptation of cashing in ahead of the transfer window slamming shut, according to GMS sources, and Silva is particularly eager to keep Leno, Robinson and Pereira on board after they have attracted interest.

The trio are on contracts worth a combined total of £230,000-per-week, so their respective departures would have a big impact on the wage bill, but the Cottagers do not want to be left in a position where they head to Manchester United for their opening encounter of the campaign light on options.

GMS sources have been informed that Leno is wanted in the big-spending Saudi Pro League, and his departure would leave Steven Benda as the only goalkeeper on Fulham's books following Marek Rodak's exit, while left-back Robinson has worked his way onto the radar of west London rivals Chelsea and Manchester United.

Bernd Leno's statistical averages per 90 minutes in the Premier League compared to Marek Rodak
             Bernd Leno       Marek Rodak
Pass completion percentage             78.0       63.0
Save percentage              74.2       53.8
Clean sheet percentage               25.3      25.0
Saves               3.36      1.50
Goals against                1.38      1.75
Statistics correct as of 12/07/2024

Creative midfielder Pereira, who joined the capital club in a £10million switch from Manchester United two years ago, is being monitored by Aston Villa - ahead of competing in the Champions League during the upcoming campaign - and La Liga giants Atletico Madrid after shining for the Cottagers last term.

But GMS sources have learned that Fulham are eager to make sure that Palhinha is the final big-name departure before the transfer window closes next month, having already convinced Silva to remain in the hot-seat and promised that his squad will be strengthened instead of decimated.

Fulham chase "astounding" £11m ex-Man United player to replace Tosin
Fulham are one of two sides showing interest in a former Manchester United academy graduate this summer, it has emerged, with Marco Silva seeing him as a perfect fit for the Craven Cottage outfit.

Silva losing key men
After another strong Premier League campaign that saw them clear of relegation trouble, Fulham have once again been stripped of their key men ahead of the new season.

Marco Silva lost Aleksandar Mitrovic last summer, and this time round it has been key duo Tosin Adarabioyo and Joao Palhinha who have headed away from Craven Cottage, with Tosin joining Chelsea on a free transfer and Palhinha completing a long-awaited move to German giants Bayern Munich.

They have also lost a key squad member for nothing in the shape of Bobby De Cordova-Reid, who left as a free agent and has since joined Premier League rivals Leicester City.

The Jamaican international made 33 Premier League appearances last season, and was able to play on either side of attack or at wing-back when required, making him a costly departure for Silva and co.

So far, they have not stepped into the transfer market to replace any of their departed stars, but that could be set to change very soon.

Fulham eye up Luton man
That comes as reports from France credit Fulham with an interest in Luton Town defender and former Manchester United academy man Teden Mengi, who was a rare bright spark for the Hatters last season.

Joining Luton on a free transfer at the beginning of the campaign, the centre-back appeared 30 times in the Premier League and impressed in the process.

Speaking ahead of a reunion with Manchester United, Luton boss Rob Edwards was quick to talk up his defender, explaining that Mengi had been an excellent signing for the Hatters: "He's been brilliant for us this year.

"For a younger player to step up, come away from home, out of his comfort zone and perform at the highest level as he has is astounding. I'm not surprised with anything he does, but perhaps I was surprised by how quickly he adapted to his surroundings and his team-mates. Hopefully he'll continue that. He has a high ceiling and I know he will be desperate to play this weekend."

Now, French outlet Foot Mercato explain that both Nice and Fulham are keen on signing him this summer, with the former seeing him as a potential replacement for Jean-Clair Todibo, who has been linked with a move to the Premier League.

Meanwhile, Fulham see him as a "perfect successor" to Tosin, and are also keeping tabs on the defender, who is reported to be valued at between 12m and 14m euros (£10-£11.7m).

Tosin vs Mengi 23/24 Premier League
              Tosin       Teden Mengi
Appearances              20       30
Goals and assists               2       1
Pass accuracy %                84.5%       77.6%
Tackles and interceptions per 90                 2.56       4.05
Clearances per 90                  4.44       5.11
Yellow Cards                   2       3

That seems a reasonable fee for a young defender with a season of Premier League experience already under his belt, while Luton Town have already signed a ready made replacement in the shape of Arsenal youngster Reuell Walters, which could pave the way for Mengi's departure this summer for a healthy profit.

Fulham 'trying hard' to sign player after impressive season – Asking price shouldn't be a problem
Fulham are competing with Borussia Mönchengladbach for the signing of Royal Union Saint-Gilloise midfielder Cameron Puertas.

That's according to Fussball Transfers, who say that all signs are pointing towards Puertas leaving the Belgian side this summer.

They report that Mönchengladbach are 'going all out' for the 25-year-old, with the 'courting' around him entering the hot phase.

The creative midfielder is on the list of several clubs, with Gladbach keen but Fulham also having taken an interest in him.

The German side are the first to have put their foot on the gas in that regard and are now taking concrete steps towards a deal. Indeed, there is a belief he has already received an offer from the club and a €15m transfer fee is being discussed.

Fulham are also 'trying hard' to sign the player, though, and the boost for them is that the €15m asking price would be considered too high for Gladbach at this moment in time.

They have money to spend this summer after selling Joao Palhinha while €15m is not usually a difficult figure for any Premier League side to match.

Marco Silva's side may now want to step up their efforts for the player, who managed 23 assists in 56 games for Union SG last season and scored 14 goals himself.

Those are impressive numbers, to say the least, and it seems Fulham are very much in the mix as the battle for his signature now begins to heat up.

Fulham place €18m offer for Sheffield United player – Talks are on
Fulham are in negotiations to sign Vini Souza from Sheffield United, according to reports from Brazil.

Journalist Venê Casagrande reveals that the Whites placed an initial €18m offer for the signing, and even though that was turned down by the Blades, the talks are on.

The report doesn't say how much Sheffield United are demanding for the sale. Still, it's claimed that due to his high salary at the club, they'd like to negotiate him.

Despite the Blades' relegation to the Championship, Souza still managed to show good potential, and that's what drew Fulham's attention.

The Whites are looking for a replacement for João Palhinha, who left for Bayern Munich, and have also been said to be in talks for Fluminense's André.

It now remains to be seen if Fulham will actually show up with a higher offer, as it sounds obvious that they're looking for many options in the market.

Souza joined Sheffield United on a €12.5m deal from Lommel SK in the summer of 2023. He has a contract with the club running until 2027, and is valued by Transfermarkt at €12m.

Sheffield United want huge fee for midfielder while club are free to sign top Championship target
A report from Brazilian journalist Vene Casagrande has stated that Fulham have declared interest in Sheffield United midfielder Vinicius Souza. It is thought that the Cottagers have had a £15 million bid rejected by the Blades.

Fulham have recently just sold their star defensive midfielder Joao Palhinha for a club-record sale, so the West Londoners are in search for midfield reinforcements.

Sheffield United want huge fee for midfielder
According to Alan Nixon, United want at least £30 million for the 25-year-old, who, let's be honest, didn't have the best of debut seasons in the Premier League. Vinicius Souza had an okay start to life at Bramall Lane, but very quickly he become an apparent problem with his lack of fight and determination to even do the basics such as tracking his runners.

Souza very quickly became the villain of S2 when he came out and made a public dig at the club back in March. The midfielder claimed he was not being selected for the Brazil national team due to Sheffield United, rather than owning up to his own poor performances.

He told Coluna Do Fla: "Not because of me, but because of the situation at my club. I think that for the national team it's a bit of a problem. That's my opinion. But not in relation to my football. I think that for my football I could [get called up], I really could. But there's the whole thing, you know.

"My team doesn't keep the ball much either. That's very important for the national team."

As per Nixon's report, Souza is very keen to leave Sheffield United this summer and has interest from various clubs across Europe. Blades fans have known for a while that Souza and Anel Ahmedhodzic departing would be a strong possibility.

Whilst the rumours circulate regarding Fulham's interest in Vinicius Souza, an exclusive report from GiveMeSport has revealed that Marco Silva's team have already opened negotiations for Joao Palhinha's replacement, and it's not Souza. As a matter of fact it is Souza's countryman Andre, the Fluminense defensive minded midfielder.

Andre, 22, has racked up over 180 games for the Brazilian club scoring four times and making four assists. Unlike the Blades midfielder, Andre has already been granted his debut for the Brazil national team in June 2023 and has since made a total of five appearances.

Fluminense are currently at the bottom of the Brasileirao Serie A and could be about to lose on of their prized assets.

Sheffield United pushing to sign Kieffer Moore
In other news it is thought that the Blades are pushing hard to sign Bournemouth striker Kieffer Moore, who is also wanted by Hull City. The Sun journalist Alan Nixon has claimed Chris Wilder's side can get a deal done for the Welshman even without a takeover being approved by the EFL.

With only 12 months left on his deal with the Cherries, and likely a one-year option in his contract, the Premier League club are open to selling the 31-year-old or a loan-to-buy deal.

According to FBref, he ranked in the 91st percentile for non-penalty goals among Championship forwards, showcasing his exceptional finishing ability. He also excelled in several other key areas: 96th percentile for total shots, 79th for shots on target, and 75th for goals per shot. However, his 46th percentile ranking in non-penalty expected goals per shot indicates that Moore often scores from less favorable positions, underscoring his skill in converting difficult chances.

A closer look at his playing style reveals a preference for direct play. Moore's statistics further highlight his attacking contributions: he ranked in the 83rd percentile for touches in the attacking third, showing his active involvement in forward play. More impressively, he was in the 99th percentile for touches in the opposition penalty area, underscoring his significant presence. His ability to receive progressive passes was reflected in a 76th percentile ranking, while his dominance in aerial duels was unparalleled, with a 99th percentile ranking for percentage of aerial duels won.

Blades will want Daniel Jebbison to succeed at Bournemouth
It was confirmed earlier this week that promising forward Daniel Jebbison has left United following his contract expiry. But due to the Blades offering him a contract they are entitled to compensation.

According to the Rules and Regulations of both the Premier League and the English Football League (EFL), when a club signs an out-of-contract player under the age of 24, it must compensate the player's former club. This rule ensures that the former club is reimbursed for its investment in the young player's training and development. The system is designed to promote and reward clubs for nurturing young talent, ensuring they are compensated for the resources and efforts spent during the player's formative years.

The 20-year-old made a total of 35 appearances for the Blades, scoring three goals and providing one assist. Unfortunately, his development has been hindered over the past year due to a combination of injuries and a health scare during last summer's pre-season.

Bournemouth and Sheffield United have agreed on a compensation package worth £1.5 million. The Star journalist, Danny Hall, has also revealed the Blades will be due further payments if Jebbison reaches certain performance based add-ons. In addition to this, there is a sell-on percentage attached to the deal. Jebbison has signed a four-year deal with Bournemouth.

Aston Villa fail with bid to sign Semih Kilicsoy
Rising Premier League giants Aston Villa have offered Alex Moreno on loan to Besiktas in a part-exchange deal to sign 18-year-old Turkish attacking sensation Semih Kilicsoy.

According to an update from Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, Semih Kilicsoy is the subject of interest from Aston Villa. The Turkish attacking sensation is also a target for Fulham in this summer's transfer window. However, the Villans have made their move to land the youngster, offering Alex Moreno on loan in a part-exchange offer, with Besiktas rejecting the bid.

The rise of Semih Kilicsoy
Semih Kilicsoy has established himself as one of Europe's best young attacking prospects in the last 12 months. The Turk is in his second stint with Besiktas, rejoining the Black Eagles from Arnavutköy Yayla Spor in 2016. Since then, he has gone from strength to strength and broke into the first-team squad in February 2023.

The 18-year-old made considerable progress in the 2023/24 season, amassing over 2,000 minutes of game time across 35 appearances in all competitions while contributing to 15 goals by finding the back of the net 12 times and providing three assists. In addition, Kilicsoy has broken into his national team, making three appearances thus far for Turkiye.

Meanwhile, Semih Kilicsoy's progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs. A move to the Premier League might be on the cards in the summer transfer window, with Aston Villa and Fulham vying for the signature of the Turkish international.

Premier League move on the horizon?
Aston Villa's interest in Semih Kilicsoy is understandable. The Villans have been scouring the market for a striker heading into the summer transfer window amid uncertainties surrounding the long-term future of Jhon Duran. Kilicsoy is thus a viable target, with Aston Villa offering a part-exchange deal to sign him. Alex Moreno would have joined Besiktas on loan had the Turkish giants accepted the bid.

As for Fulham, the Cottagers have been keen on signing a dependable striker since Aleksandar Mitrovic created a gaping hole in the offensive department after joining Al-Hilal last summer. While Rodrigo Muniz stepped up in the final weeks of the 2023/24 season, Fulham can do with another centre-forward. Kilicsoy is thus an option worth considering, with Fulham lining up an official bid to sign him.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa's bid of €18 million plus Alex Moreno on loan did not do the trick, with Besiktas rejecting the proposal. So, Fulham will have the opportunity to steal a march on the West Midlands club. It will be interesting to see where the 18-year-old Turkish attacking sensation plies his trade in the 2024/25 season.

Premier League Suitors Offering £15 Million Less Than Sheffield United Asking Price
According to reports, Sheffield United midfielder Vinicius Souza is the latest target for Fulham, but the Blades have slapped an enormous price tag on his back, according to reports.

The Brazilian joined the newly promoted Premier League side in the summer of 2023 on a four-year deal. The 25-year-old would appear over 35 times in all competitions for the Blades but, despite having a decent season at Bramall Lane, the club would be relegated to the Championship.

His stats for last season's campaign suggest why the Cottagers are interested in his services. For example, he was in the top 1% for tackles per 90 in Europe's top five leagues. Alongside his impressive tackling, he is also within the top 5% for blocks and clearances. This is important for Fulham as Bernd Leno finished third in the league for clean sheets with 10 all season, thus emphasising their commitment to defending.

In addition, Marco Silva's side is targeting a similar profile to Joao Palhinha who was also in the top 1% for tackles per 90 at 5.07. Therefore, this clearly shows why the London-based side are interested in the defensive midfielder.

Some of the 25-year-old's best attributes include his height and physicality, which he utilises to shut down attackers. As a ball-winning midfielder, Souza offers great cover for the defensive line.

His impressive first season in English football has intrigued many clubs around the country and his performances in a midfield that would rarely see the ball didn't go unnoticed, having led to interest from Fulham.

After Palhinha's departure from Craven Cottage to Bayern Munich, a capable replacement is needed. The Portugal international was integral to Silva's side and will be deeply missed. As a result of needing a replacement, Souza has now been linked with the club. Journalist Alan Nixon has reported that the South Yorkshire outfit wants a whopping £30 million fee for the Brazilian midfielder.

However, the Cottagers are said to rate him in the £15 million bracket. This could become an issue and with European interest still there, Fulham could miss out. Despite this, Nixon did point out that Fulham had cash from the Palhinha deal and a need for a like-for-like replacement.

The report also stated that the ex-Espanyol star is keen to leave Sheffield United after one season in the Premier League. This is justified given the interest from clubs playing at a higher level and the lack of stability at Bramall Lane currently due to the ongoing takeover talks.

Writer's View
This could be a great move for all parties depending on the final fee. If Sheffield United are able to earn £30 million in this deal, they can fund many more players and improve the overall squad. It would also be an overall profit from their initial deal that cost around £10 million to bring him to England.

As for Souza, he is provided with another chance at playing in the top tier of English football. However, this time he can play for a more ambitious side given Fulham's 13th-placed finish last season in the Premier League.

Fulham could also see a great outcome in this deal. As a result of selling Palhinha to former Burnley manager Vincent Kompany, they have around £50 million to spend and Souza could be a cost-effective replacmenet.

Matt O'Riley keen on Atalanta move amid Everton, Fulham, West Ham United links
Celtic midfielder Matt O'Riley has been linked with a move away from Scotland, with Atalanta, Everton, Fulham, and West Ham United keen on signing him.

Matt O'Riley enjoyed an exceptional 2023/24 season with Celtic, and he contributed towards 37 goals in all competitions. According to a report by Graeme Bailey on HITC, the Danish international would prefer joining 2023/24 Europa League winners Atalanta in the summer.

Apparently, the midfielder prefers a move to Atalanta instead of joining Everton, Fulham, and West Ham United, and it remains to be seen how the situation develops. Premier League clubs certainly have more financial resources, and they could offer him a lucrative proposal. It will be interesting to see if Everton or West Ham manage to convince Matt O'Riley to join them instead.

Everton, Fulham, and West Ham keen on O'Riley
Everton need more quality in the middle of the park, and pursuing Matt O'Riley could prove to be a good decision. He will add goals, creativity to the side. Similarly, Fulham need to add more quality in the middle of the park as well. The opportunity to play in the Premier League will be an exciting option, and the Celtic star would have looked to prove himself in English football.

West Ham United are keen on signing the Danish international as well, and it will be interesting to see if they decide to make a move for him. The Hammers will be hoping to sustain European football in the coming seasons, and they need to put together a quality squad. Signing a goalscoring midfielder would be a wise decision.

Matt O'Riley is entering the peak of his career, and he will want to compete at the highest level. A move to the Premier League will be hard to turn down for him. Regular football in England could help him improve further. It remains to be seen whether the three English clubs can convince the midfielder to join them.

The fact that he prefers a move to Italy will come as a major boost for Atalanta, and it will be interesting to see if the 2023/24 Europa League winners come forward with an official proposal to sign him.

"Way too high" - Fulham urged against meeting Sheffield United player demands

Sheffield United set £30m price tag for Vini Souza amid Fulham interest following relegation to Championship.
Blades fan pundit questions Souza's worth after poor performance, identifies attitude as area for improvement.
Impending takeover delay affecting transfer business, as club sets precedence with high Souza price tag.

This article is part of Football League World's 'Terrace Talk' series, which provides personal opinions from our FLW Fan Pundits regarding the latest breaking news, teams, players, managers, potential signings and more...

Sheffield United have set their price tag for Vini Souza amid interest from Fulham.

As reported by journalist Alan Nixon via his Patreon account, the Blades want £30m for the Brazilian holding midfielder.

Souza featured regularly in the Premier League last season as Sheffield United were relegated back to the Championship, after signing for the club from Espanyol on a four-year deal last summer.

Successful tackles per 90 during the 2023/24 Premier League - as per Fotmob
Player Name         Club      Successful tackles per 90    Tackle Success
Boubacar Traore          Wolverhampton Wanderers       2.6    65.7%
Vini Souza          Sheffield United       2.6    60.8%
Casemiro          Manchester United        2.5    67.5%
Joao Gomes           Wolverhampton Wanderers       2.5    57.8%
Joao Palhinha           Fulham       2.5    49.3%

He has attracted transfer interest following the Blades' return to the second tier, with Fulham keen on bringing the 25-year-old back to the top flight during this transfer window.

Portuguese midfielder Joao Palhinha has left the Cottagers to join Bayern Munich, so they are in the market for a replacement, and have seemingly identified Souza as the right man.

Fulham have had a bid in the region of £15m rejected by Sheffield United this summer, according to Brazilian journalist Vene Casagrande, but they are still interested in completing a move for the midfielder.

Sheffield United will do well to receive £30m for Vini Souza
Football League World's Blades fan pundit, Owain Wyse, does not believe that Souza is worth as much as Sheffield United are asking for, and thinks there is an area of his game he needs to improve on before he is ready to return to the Premier League.

"£30m is way too high for Vini Souza," Wyse told FLW.

"I don't think that there is any way we will receive that amount of money. After his pretty awful performances last season, I cannot see why Fulham would want to replace the quite brilliant Joao Palhinha with him.

"Souza, in very, very short spells last year, showed some real quality, but for me and many other Blades, his attitude really lets him down.

"He's a tough tackling, ball-carrying holding midfielder that, if he can sort his attitude out, will be a brilliant Championship player for us. He was booed both onto and off the pitch at times last season, so his relationship with the fans will take some rebuilding.

"I see that price tag as more of a way of setting a precedent and sending a warning to the clubs around us that we are not going to let a big player go on the cheap, which for me is excellent news on the incoming takeover."

Sheffield United takeover is still not complete
Sheffield United's impending takeover is still yet to be completed, with The Star reporting that while the group remain determined to take control at Bramall Lane, the deal is not progressing as quickly as anticipated.

That means Chris Wilder's transfer business remains on hold for the time being, as the Blades' boss waits to complete a number of deals that are lined up.

Sheffield United have brought in two additions so far this summer, Jamie Shackleton and Sam McCallum, but will need to strengthen further if they are going to compete at the top of the Championship next season.

The club setting such a high price tag for Souza should give some encouragement to Blades' supporters, as they are not willing to lose a player who should be able to impress in the second tier on the cheap. However, if he does end up staying for next season, the fans will hope he can sort out any attitude problems and help the club push on under new ownership.

The £25m wonderkid at the middle of a bidding war between Aston Villa and Fulham
Aston Villa and Fulham have been linked with a summer swoop for a teenage Euro 2024 star - but is he ready for the top level?

As Premier League clubs hunt for some firepower up front this summer, a couple of teams seem set to turn towards the future – according to a new report, both Aston Villa and Fulham are lining up bids for teenage Beşiktaş striker Semih Kiliçsoy, who made Turkey's squad for Euro 2024 at the tender age of 18 and who is regarded as one of his country's brightest prospects.

Sport Witness have picked up on local media sources who state that both sides have made bids – all rejected so far - for the 18-year-old, who scored 12 goals in 30 games last season and who has earned three caps for the Turkish national team, including a substitute appearance against the Netherlands in their European Championship quarter-final. But is he up for the challenge of scoring goals in the Premier League?

Able to play as a central striker but more often deployed by his club down the left wing, Kiliçsoy is a tricky, direct player who isn't exceptionally quick but who does have the guile and dribbling skills to beat players on the run and the off-ball movement to find a half-yard of space in the box, but it's his powerful shooting that has really stood out in the early part of his career.

A rare forward who is capable of striking the ball with power and precision with both feet, Kiliçsoy has scored several of his goals with some absolutely ferocious finishing, firing the ball past and on a couple of occasions straight through the goalkeeper with sheer force. Unafraid to take shots on from narrow angles or from distance, he has scored some spectacular goals and caught 'keepers by surprise on more than a few occasions.

The 11 goals he scored in the Turkish Süper Lig came at an xG of just 5.59, which is both a testament to the excellence of some of the strikes and also to a couple of efforts which sharper goalkeepers might have saved, either at the near post or one on occasion in slippery conditions when a rain-sodden ball skimmed in through the goalkeeper's hands. His goalscoring exploits so far are a testament to both his willingness to take chances and, perhaps, a little bit of luck.

He does have some areas to work on, of course – his first touch can let him down and he lacks aerial presence at a 5'11", and can be pushed around at times by more experienced defenders who don't give him the space to shoot or unfurl his dribbling talents, but when he can engineer the chance to run at defenders he becomes extremely hard to defend against. Drop deep and he will have room for a shot, but step up and he can absolutely take on and beat his man on the run.

It's not yet clear whether his relatively modest pace will be an issue in the long term – it would certainly help him to be a better winger and a better striker off the shoulder of the last man if he did have a little extra speed in his boots, but as it is he will have to develop the extra bit of canniness and the understanding of how to outwit defenders instead. As long as he has that shooting power, however, it seems likely that his future is as a central striker.

The question, of course, is whether or not his future is in England. Aston Villa reportedly offered a combination of cash and a year's loan of left-back Alex Moreno, which was rejected, while Fulham are claimed to have come in with a bid of €20m (£16.8m), also turned down flat. Beşiktaş, apparently, want closer to €30m (£25.2m).

That's a big fee for a player who can't be said to be proven at the top level yet. Kiliçsoy has said his idol is Sergio Agüero, and with a little refinement of his game he might even be a player worthy nof that comparison, but there is a way to go and he can't be expected to repay that fee in the first couple of years. But if either Aston Villa or Fulham do pull the trigger, we can expect at least a handful of truly spectacular goals as a result.

Former Leicester City, Fulham and Brighton midfielder returns to boyhood club in lower reaches of Belgian football after retirement
While he may have retired from professional football, Anthony Knockaert has not decided to fully hang the boots up just yet. The mercurial winger will play next season in the lower reaches of Belgian football with Mouscron, the phoenix club of the now defunct Royal Excelsior Mouscron. Stade Mouscronnois were formed in 2022 to ensure that the town would still have a football team and currently plays in the lower reaches of the Belgian football pyramid. The former side went out of business in 2022 after being relegated from the Pro League the previous season.

Knockaert, from just across the border in Roubaix, trained with Mouscron as a youngster before joining the Guingamp youth system. He went on the play for Leicester and Brighton, where he had the biggest impact. He did also play for half a season with Standard Liege, his only time in Belgian football. Last year he left Fulham to play in the French second tier with Valenciennes FC, who were subsequently relegated to the third tier of French football.

After retiring, he returns to the side where he started playing football.

Official: Fulham and Everton alum Adeniran joins Scottish club St Mirren
Fulham and Everton alum Dennis Adeniran has returned to British football with Scottish Premiership outfit St Mirren.

With a statement on their official website, St Mirren announced the signing of the former England U19 international of Nigerian descent on a one-year contract, subject to clearance.

Adeniran will earn a second year with the Buddies if he reaches the required number of appearances under manager Stephen Robinson.

A midfielder by trade, he has joined St Mirren on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract with Israeli club Haopel Petah Tikva, where he played in ten games and scored one goal.

Adeniran kicked off his professional journey at Fulham, debuting for the Cottagers in a League Cup fixture against Leyton Orient in August 2016.

He later moved to Everton, tallying 56 appearances for their U21 team and spent the 2020-2021 season on loan with Wycombe Wanderers.

After leaving Everton, Adeniran transferred to Sheffield Wednesday, where he registered ten goal involvements in 51 appearances across two seasons.

He had a short spell at Portuguese club Portimonense before joining Haopel Petah Tikva in January 2024.

The 25-year-old has been offered a deal by St. Mirren after featuring as a trialist in Tuesday night's 2-0 win against Greenock Morton.
