Fulham player flying tomorrow to sign for new club – 2-year contract offered
There's a claim in the Danish media that Fulham defender Kevin Mbabu is on the verge of signing for FC Midtjylland.

The 29-year-old has struggled to hold down a place in Fulham's starting eleven since his arrival in 2022 and has been loaned out on two occasions.

Tipsbladet today report the Fulham man will fly out to Denmark tomorrow ahead of signing a contract with FC Midtjylland. The Danish club have reportedly offered Mbabu a two-year contract, but there are no reports on what transfer fee has been agreed between the two clubs.

Since arriving at Craven Cottage, the Swiss international has only played six games for the west London side. Subsequently this has resulted in the right back being loaned to Servette FC and FC Augsburg.

Last season, Mbabu made 25 Bundesliga appearances for Augsburg after he was loaned to the German club last summer.

He's contracted to Fulham until June 2025 so the Premier League could be under pressure to offload him in this window before he can speak to other clubs in the new year about a free transfer... that's if they've managed to get a fee this time.

Mbabu to have Midtjylland medical tomorrow
Fulham full back Kevin Mbabu will have a medical with FC Midtjylland tomorrow, according to the Evening Standard.

The Swiss international has agreed personal terms with the Danish champions over a two-year contract that will end his stint as one of Craven Cottage's forgotten men. Mbabu has made only seven first-team appearances since signing for the Whites from Wolfsburg for £4.7m in 2022 – and spent the last two seasons on loan at Augsburg and Servette.

The former Newcastle right back quickly fell behind Kenny Tete and Timothy Castagne in Marco Silva's pecking order despite producing a superb cross for Aleksandar Mitrovic's late winner over Brentford early in his Fulham career.

Liverpool 'enquire' over £54.6m Newcastle, Fulham targets amid player ultimatum
Liverpool have asked for information on both Mohamed Simikan and Rayan Cherki ahead of possible moves before the end of the transfer window.

The Reds have already completed the signing of Giorgi Mamardhasvili, who's joined in a £25m deal from Valencia, but will play for the La Liga club on loan this season, and Federico Chiesa is set to join from Juventus for £10m.

But they continue to be linked with further additions as sporting director Richard Hughes picks up the recruitment pace as September 1 approaches.

L'Equipe claim, in a report on the future of Lyon playmaker Rayan Cherki, that Liverpool have 'taken information' on the 21-year-old, who was previously linked with Chelsea and was thought to be close to a move to Fulham last week.

The report states:

'The Lyon leaders gave Cherki three choices: find a new club that would offer €15m [£12.6m], like PSG and Fulham, extend several seasons at OL or not play until the end of his contract'

'He had refused an extension offer at the beginning of the summer, when he was convinced to leave. Unless there is a (possible) offer of a new club in the coming days (Liverpool has taken information), Cherki could therefore sign a new lease and register in the long term with OL, by rejoining Pierre Sage's team.'

RB Leipzig centre-back Simikan is also on Liverpool's radar according to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenburg, who confirmed though that it's Newcastle who are currently making the biggest play for the 24-year-old – who's reportedly available for £42m – as they look for alternatives to Marc Guehi.

Plettenburg wrote on X:  Newcastle, now exploring deal to sign Mohamed #Simakan until Deadline Day! Barcelona and Liverpool have also inquired about him. There's also concrete interest from Saudi Arabia.

'Leipzig, open for negotiations about the 24 y/o versatile defender only with suitable offers. Contract valid until 2027.'

A report claims Liverpool have also been keeping tabs on Guehi's situation following Sepp van den Berg's £20m move to Brentford.

The Magpies have had multiple bids for Guehi rejected by Palace, the largest thought to be around £65m, and although some reports suggest they could stretch to £70m before the close of the transfer window, others claim that price is beyond their means.

That may well open the door for Liverpool, who – according to the Independent – aren't willing to pay the £70m Palace want for the England international this summer, but 'may instead consider a move if he remains at Palace into next year'.

The report adds:

'That prospect is seen as 50-50 at the moment as Newcastle and the Selhurst Park hierarchy continue long drawn-out talks that have now been happening for months.

'While Newcastle are conscious of a club-record deal amid Profit and Sustainability Rules restrictions, Palace are unwilling to budge on their valuation.

'That has long been the club stance on young stars, as their status as one of the biggest producers of young talent in the Premier League has fostered hard negotiating stances.'

Fulham turn down Gorica loan bid for Pajaziti
Fulham have turned down a loan offer from Croatian outfit HNK Gorica for midfielder Adrion Pajaziti, according to Sky Sports News.

Gorica have a co-operation agreement with the Whites and have loaned Fulham's academy products in recent seasons but head coach Marco Silva has decided that the Albanian under-21 international needs domestic loan experience after making twelve appearances for Norwegian outfit Haugesund last season,

Silva handed Pajaziti his Fulham debut in the League Cup at Birmingham City two seasons ago and the playmaker is expected to earn an EFL loan move before Friday's transfer deadline.

Fulham looking to sign Lyon winger Nuamah
Fulham are looking to sign Ghana international winger Ernest Nuamah from French club Lyon.

The Whites are looking to sign at least one wide-man before the transfer window closes on Friday, with Willian and Bobby De Cordova-Reid having recently left.

Boss Marco Silva regards strengthening in that position as a priority and a number of possible signings have been considered.

Nuamah, 20, fits the bill and talks are taking place with Lyon over a potential deal to bring him to west London.

Everton and Fulham both in last-gasp approach for Nuamah transfer – Fabrizio Romano
Everton and Fulham have both made last-gasp approaches to sign Ernest Nuamah ahead of the transfer deadline, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The transfer specialist reported via X on Wednesday (28 August) that talks have taken place between both Premier League sides who are keen to sign the Olympique Lyon star before the Friday 30 August deadline.

Nuamah could leave the Ligue 1 club before the window slams shut, but so far it doesn't appear to be clear whether or not the Toffees or Marco Silva's side are leading the race for the Ghanaian international's signature.

Will Ernest Nuamah exit Lyon amid Everton transfer rumours?
After a quiet few weeks in the transfer window, it seems as though Sean Dyche and Kevin Thelwell are looking to step up their recruitment in the final days of August after a difficult start to the Premier League season.

The 20-year-old winger is capable of playing anywhere across the frontline and his versatility would add an extra dimension to Dyche's side that is desperately required if they want to climb away from the dropzone this term.

He may not have always been the most consistent source of goals throughout his career, especially as he only found the net three times in 33 games last term, but he creates plenty of chances per game which is what the Toffees desperately need.

Whether or not the Blues have the financial muscle to beat Fulham to his signature could be the only issue in the final days of the window.

The current takeover situation on Merseyside has made it hard for Dyche to make too many new additions.

Hopefully, Everton will manage to find a way to get this deal over the line before the window slams shut at the end of August. If they do, it could help them kick on after a rotten start to the season which has left them rooted to the foot of the table.

Fulham could make a late move for another Arsenal star
Fulham is considering a late swoop for Reiss Nelson as the transfer window draws to a close.

The winger has been widely expected to leave the Emirates as Arsenal continues to strengthen their squad with higher-calibre players.

Although Nelson is seen as an alternative to Bukayo Saka, he hasn't consistently impressed when given the opportunity.

Arsenal is open to his departure, and there have been some inquiries since the transfer window opened. However, no concrete interest has materialised, and it seemed he might spend another season at the Emirates.

According to a report from Team Talk, Fulham is now contemplating a late move for the winger.

The Cottagers have long been interested in Nelson, and they may step up their efforts in the final days of the transfer window.

Arsenal would likely be willing to facilitate the transfer, and Nelson might also find the move appealing.

Joining Fulham would allow him to reunite with Emile Smith Rowe and remain in London.

Just Arsenal Opinion
Nelson is not good enough for our team and has not improved much over the last few seasons, so we probably should offload him before this transfer window closes.

Red Bull Bragantino bid £2.5m for Vinicius
Brazilian side Red Bull Bragantino have offered Fulham £2.5m for Carlos Vinicius, according to the Athletic tonight.

Marco Silva has signalled that the Brazilian centre forward is surplus to requirements at Craven Cottage and Vinicius is in talks with the São Paulo side about a proposed permanent move. The deal is not concluded to take the former PSV Eindhoven, Benfica and Tottenham Hotspur striker back to his homeland – but Vinicius is expected to leave SW6 permanently before the end of this month's transfer window.

Vinicius, who has scored eight goals in 48 games for Fulham, trained at Motspur Park this summer whilst the first-team squad travelled to Portugal for a pre-season tour and took on Hoffenheim in Germany. He has slipped behind compatriot Rodrigo Muniz, Mexican veteran Raul Jimenez and England under-21 international Jay Stansfield in Silva's striking ranks.
