Fulham's Marco Silva says there's a 'very good' Nottingham Forest player he's wary of ahead of Saturday
Nottingham Forest are in Premier League action this weekend with a return to the City Ground against Fulham.

Nuno Espirito Santo's side are one of the few remaining unbeaten sides in the Premier League this season on the back of their latest draw.

The Reds were able to pick up four points from their travels to Liverpool and Brighton & Hove Albion over the last two games.

And that has Forest sat all the way up in eighth with nine points to their name and only a three-point gap to fourth spot.

However, they will be facing a Fulham side on Saturday who sit just one spot and one point behind them in the table.

Already, Fulham boss Marco Silva has admitted there is a player he will be making sure his player's are wary of for the game at the City ground.

Which Nottingham Forest player Marco Silva is wary of
It has been an unexpectedly positive start to the season for the Reds who remain unbeaten despite playing the likes of Liverpool and Brighton.

The Reds could be heading into October without any defeats to their name if they are able to take something from the game on Saturday against the Cottagers.

But they will be facing a Fulham side who are coming into the game on the back of an impressive victory against Newcastle United.

And it seems as if the Fulham boss has been watching Forest closely as he has admitted he is a big fan of what Elliot Anderson has been doing.

"Really good side... talking about Gibbs-White (suspension) but, for sure, he's going to play another player in that position that's really good too," the Fulham boss told the media.

"Let's see which player... he could play Anderson that's a very good player, as well. A young player, but a very good one.

Nottingham Forest will be without Morgan Gibbs-White vs Fulham
Following his second yellow card on the weekend against Brighton, Nuno is going to be without Morgan Gibbs-White for the Fulham clash.

It is going to be a huge miss for Forest considering the bright start to the season which Gibbs-White has made.

However, it is going to allow another player with the opportunity to shine and that could well be Anderson.

With Gibbs-White absent, the former Newcastle United midfielder could play higher up the pitch in a more attacking role.

An interesting decision awaits Nuno but this does feel like a big opportunity for the Reds to get their first home win of the season.

Before The Whistle: Nottingham Forest v Fulham

Is this our toughest test so far this season?

The stats certainly suggest so. We travel to Nottingham to face a Forest side that is one of just four that remain unbeaten in the Premier League this season.

But we're in fine fettle ourselves. Believe it or not, this is our joint-longest unbeaten run in the top flight under Marco Silva. We've not tasted defeat since the opening day against Manchester United. The flip side of that is that we've picked up just one point away from home this season. Saturday is a chance to change that – and knock the Tricky (free-spending) Trees off their perch.

Silva is unlikely to change the starting XI that he's largely stuck too all season, especially after the impressive showing against Newcastle last week. Raul Jimenez has taken the chance offered to him with both hands and will continue to lead the line. Our central midfield trio, oft criticised for its perceived lack of balance, is starting to show that Marco is indeed a genius, while our back four is looking stronger by the game.

Alex Iwobi and Adama Traore are looking dangerous in attack, and in Reiss Nelson we have an impact sub who more than lives up to that title.

But Forest will be no pushover. They've had a similar start to us, and have kept two clean sheets – including one at Anfield in their famous away win. Morgan Gibbs-White may be missing through suspension, but Chris Wood has proved he's as dangerous as ever, bagging three goals in five games. Callum Hudson-Odoi and Anthony Elanga are also dangers and will provide Antonee Robinson and Kenny Tete with plenty of food for thought.

A point here would be a fantastic one on the road and build on an already solid start. A win would take us more than a quarter of the way to safety. You Whites.

'Several enquiries' made into Mohamed Al-Fayed's time as Fulham owner amid sexual assault allegations
Mohamed Al-Fayed's time as Fulham owner will come under scrutiny after sexual assault allegations emerged over the late billionaire.

    Al-Fayed accused of sexual misconduct
More than 100 women expected to seek compensation
    Egyptian owned Fulham between 1997 & 2013

WHAT HAPPENED?

Several women have come forward after a BBC documentary accused Al-Fayed of sexual misconduct during their time working at London department store Harrods, which he owned. A group has been established to seek compensation over the allegations, with Al-Fayed accused of rape and other forms of sexual assault. Lawyers have said that more than 100 women had come forward since the BBC documentary.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

The development comes after a former Fulham women's team manager revealed that precautions were in place to 'protect' female players from Al-Fayed during his time at the club. It was claimed that female players were 'not allowed to be left alone' with Al-Fayed due to his apparent liking for 'young blonde girls'.

The Met has revealed that 19 women made allegations of offences by Fayed, ranging from 1979 to 2013, before his death last year at the age of 94. No further action was taken by the Crown Prosecution Service.

WHAT ACCUSERS HAVE SAID

A spokesman for Justice for Harrods Survivors told The Telegraph: "The group of barristers representing 37 of Fayed's victims, confirmed that several of the new enquiries received since last week's press conference relate to Fulham Football Club under the period of Fayed's ownership."

WHAT NEXT FOR FULHAM AND AL-FAYED CLAIMS?

Fulham urged anyone affected to contact their safeguarding team or the Metropolitan police. A spokesman said: "We remain in the process of establishing whether anyone at the club is or has been affected by the reports concerning Mr Al Fayed." The FA also confirmed they will remain in contact with Fulham over the matter.

IMPORTANT MATCHDAY INFORMATION
The club has made the decision to install barriers and gates along the front of the Trent End, which will restrict access to the walkway leading up to the LED boards pitch side until after the final whistle.

We recognise that this may be disappointing for some supporters who have enjoyed watching the pre-match warm-ups from this area. However, this measure has been implemented to enhance the safety and enjoyment of all attendees.

This decision follows a recent incident at Crystal Palace, where a goal celebration resulted in the collapse of the LED perimeter, causing injury to a ballboy. Considering this, we have carefully reviewed our safety protocols to prevent a similar occurrence at the City Ground.

The accessible routes from each corner of the Trent End will remain in place, ensuring that those supporters who require assistance can navigate safely. Additionally, the view of supporters seated in the lower section of the Trent End has frequently been obstructed by individuals using the walkway, particularly towards the end of matches.

This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to enhance safety and is consistent with the measures already implemented in the Brian Clough Stand and Bridgford Stand. Please be assured that the gates will be opened at the final whistle to facilitate the safe exit of supporters from the stadium.

ZERO-TOLERANCE FOR ABUSE OR DISCRIMINATION
We are reminding all supporters of our zero-tolerance policy towards discrimination of any kind.

Forest is for everyone, and we are committed to creating an inclusive environment which embraces and celebrates our differences. We will continue working hard to ensure that everyone who attends our stadium has a positive experience.

The Club advocates a strict policy of zero tolerance towards supporters who act or express any form of discriminative language or behaviour towards others. Including ablism, misogyny, racism, homophobia, antisemitism, and tragedy chanting. Any individuals found to have been engaged in any sort of abusive or discriminatory behaviour will be subject to necessary sanctions. This could be a ban from the ground and court orders if found guilty.

We will continue to work closely with the police and Kick It Out in dealing with individuals and applying the necessary sanctions where individuals are found guilty.

To ensure our home is a safe environment for everyone we need your help. The Club has a free of charge Safe Text service where you can report any form of abuse, harassment, discrimination, or anti-social behaviour when visiting The City Ground.

In line with our zero-tolerance approach; If you witness any inappropriate behaviour of any kind, please make a nearby steward aware or you can report it on our free of charge Safe Text number '80800' by starting the message with 'FOREST'.

Please provide as much information as possible including your stand, block, row, and seat number to allow our Safety & Security team to help you as best they can.

We are committed to Nottingham Forest Football Club being an inclusive and safe space for all fans to come and enjoy watching us play regardless of age, gender, religion, sexuality, or ablism.

PERSISTENT STANDING
Nottingham Forest would like to remind all supporters that persistent standing is prohibited in regular seats at the City Ground for your safety and the safety of others.

The local authority's Safety Advisory Group has raised serious concerns about persistent standing during our home matches this season.

Despite a number of new safe standing areas being added within the ground, Nottingham Forest would like to remind all supporters persistent standing outside these seats is strictly prohibited.

Failure to address persistent standing puts the club at risk of severe sanctions, including an enforced reduction in stadium capacity on match days. This would have extremely negative consequences for our famous atmosphere, limit the availability of tickets for supporters, and harm our finances and reputation. We cannot allow this to happen.

It is therefore imperative we take stronger measures to ensure compliance with strict stadium regulations. Please be advised that if supporters fail to comply with the requests of our security and stewarding colleagues, we reserve the right to ban individuals from the stadium and rescind season cards, where appropriate.

Please be respectful of requests from our stewards on match days. They are here to ensure the safety and enjoyment of everyone in the stadium and enforce compliance with the conditions set out in our safety license.

The club is extremely grateful for your role in helping create the City Ground atmosphere that is known across the Premier League, and beyond. Let's work together to keep it that way.

TICKETS & HOSPITALITY
Tickets may still be available to purchase online for MyForest members through our ticket exchange platform which will be open until 30 minutes before kick-off. Please click here to visit the tick et exchange platform.

The new entrances are to the left and right of the previous Legends Lounge Reception and will ensure a smooth and speedy entrance into the Legends Lounge to enjoy the pre-match Hospitality.

The new Robin Hood Suite entrance can be found to the left of the Matchday Reception, and the 1865 Club entrance to the right. These new entrances will reduce the flow of people through the previous entrance allowing you to access each area quickly and enjoy the facilities of your respective hospitality area.

To ensure there are no delays in access to your hospitality area, please make sure you have the correct tickets with you on arrival.

Turnstiles will open from 1.30pm – 90 minutes prior to the 3pm kick-off.

Supporters are reminded that the Matchday Ticket Office in the Brian Clough Stand has now closed. All matchday enquiries must be made at the main Ticket Office.

The Ticket Office is open from 9am until half time.

Following an increase in the number of supporters turning up at the Ticket Office on a matchday, experiencing issues due to either forgetting their Season Card or bringing last year's Season Card, supporters are reminded to ensure that prior to departing for The City Ground, the below is checked:

Ensure that your Season Card is on your person ahead of arriving at The City Ground
Ensure that the correct 24/25 Season Card is brought, as opposed to any previous Season Cards such as Season Cards issued for 23/24 or 22/23.
That any previous Season Cards are separate to this year's Season Card, so as not to bring the wrong one.

Please be advised that should you forget your Season Card, or bring the wrong one, then you must come to the Ticket Office with valid ID to collect a paper ticket reprint.

The above is being advised to reduce any potential queues at the Ticket Office on a matchday, so we can ensure that everyone gains access in ample time and does not miss any of the game.

You may be subjected to additional security checks when entering the stadium for this fixture. Please arrive to the stadium earlier to give yourself enough time to get an additional security required before the turnstile. Please ensure you arrive with the correct ticket and ID if you are asked to prove your age at any point.

Supporters are reminded that is a criminal offence to enter the pitch at any time.

Please read all our safety regulations and information here.

Nottingham Forest vs. Fulham: Nuno Espirito Santo's looking to extend 2024-25 Premier League streak
Nottingham Forest will be hoping to extend a 2024-25 Premier League streak against Fulham on Saturday afternoon.

Having narrowly avoided relegation last season, Nuno Espirito Santo and the club's supporters were hopeful of a better start to this campaign.

As it stands, the East Midlands outfit are exceeding expectations, putting together a five-match unbeaten streak and accumulating nine points in the process.

Although Forest only sit in eighth position in the standings, they are already eight points clear of the bottom three heading into their upcoming game.

The Cottagers make the trip to the City Ground on an undefeated run of their own, going four games without losing since being edged out by Manchester United on the opening weekend.

Can Forest extend Premier League scoring run?
As a result, this is a match between two teams who will sense an opportunity to strengthen their place in the top half of the table ahead of the October international break.

From Forest's perspective, they will be confident of delivering yet again on the basis that they have opened the scoring in each of their five matches.

While the three draws on their record means that there will be some disappointment associated with that record, no other team has achieved that scoring streak this season.

Interestingly, the goals have come at various points in a match, with two of the strikes in question being netted in the 70th minute and beyond.

On the other three occasions, however, Chris Wood has netted the opener no later than the 23rd minute, the New Zealand international now boasting a record of 14 goals from 21 Premier League outings under Nuno.

Forest will also be attempting to go six matches unbeaten at the start of a season for the first time since 2024-15, when they were competing in the Championship.

Fulham hoping to equal club record
Marco Silva will be delighted with Fulham having bounced back from the Old Trafford disappointment to accumulate eight points from their other four games.

Should the West Londoners find a way to prevail at the City Ground, it would equal their best-ever start to a Premier League season after six matches.

At the same time that Forest are yet to keep a home clean sheet, Fulham have no shutouts to their name in any of their five games, conceding once on every occasion.

Pre-Forest Press Conference
Saturday sees Fulham take on a Nottingham Forest side who are one of only four teams yet to suffer defeat in the Premier League this season.

The Reds are one point better off than us going into the weekend's fixture, having won two and drawn three matches so far.

They will be without captain Morgan Gibbs-White at the City Ground after the Forest captain was sent off last week, and while Marco Silva appreciates that may be a bonus for his team, he knows there is quality waiting in the wings.

"It's not my problem – it's more for Nuno [Espirito Santo], his situation," he said. "But I have to be honest, when you have Gibbs-White or you don't have Gibbs-White, you are different.

"For sure, Nuno prefers to play with Gibbs-White. And if you ask me, I prefer to play without Gibbs-White! Simple.

"They are a very good side. You are talking about Gibbs-White, but he's going to play another player in that position who is really good, too.

"Let's see who is going to be the player there. If he's going to play [Elliot] Anderson, that is a very, very good player as well. A young player, but a very good one.

"And, of course, when they have that quality out wide, with [Callum] Hudson-Odoi, with [Anthony] Elanga, with [Ramon] Sosa as well, all those players, with a striker [Chris Wood] in a very good moment as well, they are always a threat and capable of punishing any side.

"They're really strong in counter-attack moments – when you feel that you have the control of the game, they can punish you as well, and it's going to be a tough game. I think the way they started the season speaks about themselves.

"We really are looking forward for our first win away from home, we are going to work really hard to do it. They want the same at home as well, and let's see. Let's hope we can be stronger than them, and we are going to really look for the three points."

Nuno's touchline situation and potential ban explained amid huge Nottingham Forest boost
Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo will be in the City Ground dugout for the clash with Fulham

Head coach Nuno Espirito Santo will be hoping to mastermind a first Premier League home win since April when Nottingham Forest host Fulham.

And the Portuguese will do so from the City Ground touchline, despite being sent off in last weekend's 2-2 draw at Brighton and Hove Albion. Knowing Nuno will be in the dugout against the Cottagers on Saturday (3pm kick-off) is a huge boost for the Reds as his in-game tactical tweaks have been key to their unbeaten start to the league campaign.

Morgan Gibbs-White will be unavailable after his own red card at the Amex Stadium, but Nuno confirmed in his pre-match press conference on Thursday that he is not banned for this weekend's fixture. That isn't the end of the matter, however. Below, we take a look at what has happened so far, why the Forest boss will be present on the sidelines on Saturday and what happens next.

What happened at Brighton?
Gibbs-White was dismissed for a second bookable offence in the 83rd minute of last Sunday's clash with the Seagulls. Having already been booked for a foul on Georginio Rutter, he then got into trouble for a tackle on Joao Pedro.

Referee Rob Jones initially seemed to indicate the England international's challenge was a clean one as he made the shape of a ball with his hands. But fourth official Anthony Taylor appeared to suggest Jones should change his mind and a red card was subsequently issued.

Nuno and Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler were also sent off for their reactions to the incident. On Tuesday, the Football Association announced the two managers and Gibbs-White had been charged. It was alleged Nuno and the Forest ace "acted in an improper manner" and/or "used abusive and/or insulting words" towards the officials.

Why is Nuno not banned for Saturday's game?
In their statement, the FA said Nuno, Gibbs-White and Hurzeler had until today (September 27) to respond to their charges. However, Forest requested an extension and now have until Wednesday (October 2) to submit their observations.

With the process still ongoing, Nuno is able to take his place in the City Ground dugout against Fulham. Gibbs-White's suspension stands because yellow cards cannot be overturned.

What happens next?
The likelihood is Nuno will request a hearing into the incident; he has accepted blame but is yet to accept the charges against him. Forest will hope there are mitigating circumstances such as the majority of the Premier League's Key Match Incidents panel arguing Jones was wrong to show Gibbs-White a red card, with a split of 3-2, along with the fact Nuno apologised to the officials immediately after Sunday's game.

Nuno already has a suspended one-match touchline ban hanging over him for comments made after last season's 2-0 defeat at Everton, when a post by the club on social media questioned the integrity of VAR Stuart Attwell. On that occasion he was also fined and warned about his future conduct, with the touchline ban suspended until May 31, 2026. With that in mind there is the possibility he could face a two-match touchline ban, although that is considered to be unlikely.

What has been said?
"The charge has been made but I'm going to be available to be at the game," Nuno said on Thursday. "We are still waiting for the final result.

"We have to wait. I got a red card, everyone saw the situation. Let's see what develops.

"It's very difficult for managers to control their emotions sometimes. It happens with a lot of managers. It's an emotional game. It was an emotional situation and an emotional part of the game. Sometimes it's hard.

"I had the chance to apologise for my behaviour (after the game) and I think it was accepted. I will try not to repeat it."

Nuno added: "There's always an answer and a response, we will respond to the charges. I think we deserve an opportunity to answer our view on the incident. We are entitled to respond and then we will wait."

What about Hurzeler?
The Brighton manager said on Thursday that he had avoided a touchline ban after having private talks with referees' chief Howard Webb. He claimed he will only face a fine for his reaction to Gibbs-White's sending off. Hurzeler said: "I know what the fine will be and I know I will be on the sidelines against Chelsea on Saturday."

"In the beginning I didn't know what I got the red card for and then I talked to Howard Webb. In the end I heard I got the red card for stepping onto the pitch," he added.

"I think if you give a red card for this, you have to ban a lot of coaches, because it happens in emotional situations in the game. I was protecting my player, it was a hard tackle. I also have to learn how fast you can get a red card in this league."

Asked how his conversation with Webb went, Hurzeler said: "The positive thing is they are very open, he listens to me and gives me a clear explanation. It's important that we have a respectful relationship and the exchange with Howard was very respectful."

Chris Sutton is convinced he knows what the result will be when Nottingham Forest face Fulham on Saturday
Nottingham Forest will be looking to keep their unbeaten start to the season going when they take on Fulham this weekend.

Nuno Espirito Santo's side will be coming up against a Fulham side who are on the back of an impressive victory over Newcastle United last weekend.

But Forest have proved to be one of the Premier League surprises this season with nine points taken from their opening five games.

Three of those points even came away to Liverpool which was backed up by a solid point on the road last weekend against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Forest are going to be without their star man in Morgan Gibbs-White this weekend following his red card picked up against the Seagulls.

And with that in mind, Chris Sutton thinks there is only going to be one result to pan out at the City Ground.

Chris Sutton shares his prediction for Nottingham Forest vs Fulham
Gibbs-White is going to be absent on Saturday for the game against Fulham but that does not mean the Reds are going to be short of areas.

Marco Silva has already admitted he is wary of the talent Elliot Anderson possesses with the midfielder potentially stepping in for Forest's number 10.

But with Gibbs-White out, Sutton is expecting the two sides to play out what would be yet another draw at the City Ground.

"I like Fulham at home, but I am not so sure I like them as much away," Sutton told BBC Sport.

"Nottingham Forest will miss the suspended Morgan Gibbs-White, which is a bit of a blow for them.
This is going to be a good game, but it has draw written all over it."

Nottingham Forest need to get a win on the board at home
So far this season, Forest's only two wins have both come on the road away to Southampton and Liverpool.

This weekend, fans will be hoping to see the Reds get their first home win of the season on the board.

And Forest will be facing a very evenly-matched side in Fulham with the Cottagers sat just one point and one place behind them in the table.

Maintaining their unbeaten status is important but a win for Forest would certainly be a real statement and could take the Reds into the top four.

Paul Merson has warning for Nottingham Forest ahead of Fulham match and tells them to 'be careful'
Nottingham Forest are still looking to provide the City Ground crowd with their first victory of the season.

The Reds have had no issues on the road with their three away games having provided seven of their nine points.

Nuno Espirito Santo can be more than satisfied with Forest's start to the season as they remain one of the only unbeaten sides in the league.

But they will be coming up against a Fulham side on Saturday which sit only a point behind the Reds after the opening five games.

And Forest are already being warned about what could unfold over the coming weeks despite having made an unbeaten start.

Paul Merson issues Nottingham Forest warning
Forest are returning to the City Ground without their prized asset following Morgan Gibbs-White's red card against Brighton & Hove Albion.

But Forest have plenty of options at Nuno's disposal for Saturday with Gibbs-White's absence offering an opportunity to some of the other midfielders to show their worth.

And the Fulham manager Marco Silva has already admitted that Elliot Anderson could offer a real threat for the Reds.

Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson has, however, warned Forest of remaining unbeaten but without picking up enough wins.

"Fulham are one of those teams in the league who can upset the big boys in my opinion. But I still think they'd only get a draw here," he told Sportskeeda.

"This would mean that Forest will continue to remain unbeaten, but they must be careful of not picking up too many draws. If you're on an unbeaten streak with five draws, it's no good. You'd be in trouble the moment you suffer that first defeat.

"For me, this is game Forest should really be looking to win since they're playing at home. But they will still be happy with a point, not a bad start for them."

Nottingham Forest need to end their winless run at the City Ground
So far this season, Forest have drawn at home against Bournemouth and Wolves with just two points taken from a possible six.

And in both of those games Forest have allowed their lead to slip which will have been of huge frustration to the home crowd.

The City Ground has not seen a victory since April and coincidentally that came against Fulham with the Reds winning 3-1.

Although Merson's warning may come after just five games, there is certainly some truth in what he's said but all Forest fans would surely have taken an unbeaten start.

Nottingham Forest vs Fulham: Preview and Prediction
Nottingham Forest will aim to keep their unbeaten start to the season going when they welcome an in-form Fulham to City Ground.

Nottingham Forest, who face Fulham this weekend, played out an entertaining game against Brighton & Hove Albion last time out, as both teams managed to keep their unbeaten start to the season going. The game was marred by controversy following the red card for Morgan Gibbs-White, which did take the gloss off that scintillating contest.

Nuno Espirito Santo might have managed to quell the nerves of supporters with an early season form, as Forest were once again considered for the relegation scrap when the campaign began. Instead, they have managed to find form in the way of two victories and three draws in their five games so far, including that tremendous result at Anfield, where they defeated Liverpool.

There are some extensive tests along the way for Espirito Santo, as the Portuguese tactician will look for ways to climb up the table and make his side an established mid-table team. Nottingham Forest sit in the eighth spot for the time being, as they now face Fulham, followed by two other London teams, Chelsea and Crystal Palace, after that.

Meanwhile, Marco Silva's Fulham are right behind Nottingham Forest on the table, with a point separating the two teams in the standings. Since their narrow opening-day defeat to Manchester United, the Cottagers have stayed unbeaten in the Premier League. However, they did suffer an early cup exit at the hands of Preston, courtesy of a massive penalty shootout.

The Cottagers have two wins and as many draws in the four games since that defeat to Manchester United, as they turned up as convincing winners against Newcastle United at home last time out. Raul Jimenez, Emile Smith Rowe and Reiss Nelson all found the back of the net as Harvey Barnes's early strike in the second half proved a mere consolation.

Silva will only look to build on this success with back-to-back wins in the Premier League after they face Manchester City. Hence, Fulham must get three points here at City Ground, as this game against Nottingham Forest promises plenty of fireworks.

Team News & Tactics
Nottingham Forest
Nottingham Forest will be without star man Morgan Gibbs-White, who will serve his one-game suspension against Fulham. But there are reports that it could turn into a two-match ban for the attacker. Ramon Sosa has certainly given Nuno Espirito Santo a selection headache, as he does appear like someone who could replace their suspended star.

However, Espirito Santo could play it safe and not take a risk with the team, meaning he could deploy one of Elliot Anderson or James Ward-Prowse higher up the pitch in support of the front three. It could be the latter, who has good experience in that role, meaning Sosa might have to stay content with a place on the bench and could further enhance his reputation as an impact player of sorts.

There are doubts about Willy Boly's participation, although Espirito Santo is likely to continue Murillo and Nikola Milenkovic in the heart of his defence. Once again, Alex Moreno might start in the left-back berth, with Ola Aina moving to the right-hand side.

Coming back to Sosa, the attacker might also look to threaten Anthony Elanga's place, although the Swede is likely to keep his place. Chris Wood and Callum Hudson-Odoi are set to complete the front three for Nottingham Forest.

Probable Lineup (4-2-3-1): Selz; Aina, Milenkovic, Murillo, Moreno; Yates, Anderson; Elanga, Ward-Prowse, Hudson-Odoi; Wood

Fulham
On paper, Marco Silva may not have to change his setup from the previous game, although he might make some tweaks depending on the challenges an away trip brings to his tactics. For instance, he could tweak his midfield by bringing in Sander Berge for Sasa Lukic, as this change could suit the team on their travels.

Beyond that, Silva may only think of a few changes, although there are a few who have given him a selection headache. For instance, Reiss Nelson has had a few good cameos in recent weeks, although the manager will likely stick with Alex Iwobi on the left wing.

Rodrigo Muniz is another player who would be pushing for a starting berth. But Raul Jimenez has picked up form, and his goal against Newcastle United somewhat keeps him in the central striker's role for now. All eyes will be on Adama Traore and Emile Smith Rowe, with the duo two of the best Fulham players since the season began.

Probable Lineup (4-2-3-1): Leno; Tete, Andersen, Bassey, Robinson; Pereira, Berge; Traore, Smith-Rowe, Iwobi; Jimenez

Key Stats

Fulham have won eight of the last 11 league meetings with Nottingham Forest. The Cottagers have recorded 42 league wins against Nottingham Forest, more than against any other opposition
Nottingham Forest are undefeated in their last six matches in the Premier League.
Fulham are yet to win away from home this season.
Fulham are on a four-game unbeaten run and only one point behind Nottingham Forest in the standings.
Raul Jimenez has scored eight goals in his past nine league starts.

Player to Watch
Emile Smith Rowe
Smith Rowe has started life at Fulham as a fan would expect the club-record signing to do, with two goals and one assist in five games. The former Arsenal star has had a difficult period over the last two seasons. But it now seems like he has found his rhythm again under Silva.

Smith Rowe still has plenty to prove, and he would have to show the hunger needed to be a big game player at Fulham and the Premier League in general. A daunting away trip to unbeaten Nottingham Forest might represent a good enough opportunity for Smith-Rowe to shine, and only time will tell whether he uses his time in the spotlight well.

Prediction
Nottingham Forest 2-2 Fulham
These are two in-form teams in the Premier League at the moment and could make up for an entertaining clash at the City Ground. Forest will surely want to keep their unbeaten start to the season going, while Fulham will eye a big three points away from home for the first time in this campaign.

Overall, these two teams have shown a knack for good defending as well as scoring key goals this season, as the game has all the hallmarks for an entertaining draw. There will be a few dramatic incidents in this one, as the game could end in a 2-2 draw.

Liverpool To Battle With Manchester United For This Fulham Defender: What Will He Bring?
Liverpool have joined the race for Fulham left-back Antonee Robinson.

As reported by The Sun, Liverpool have joined the race for Fulham left-back Antonee Robinson. The Reds want to sign the defender next summer but will have to beat Manchester United as they are also keen on getting the deal done.

Antonee Robinson's rising stakes
Antonee Robinson moved to Fulham in the summer of 2020 after Wigan Atletic's relegation from the championship. The move turned out to be fruitful as the player emerged as a reliable name, adding a lot of value to Fulham's side.

Backed with his impressive performances, Robinson earned a fixed spot in the starting lineup. He featured in 44 games last season and provided seven assists. He averaged 2.5 tackles, 2.2 interceptions, and 2.9 clearances per game (stats via whoscored).

The American left-back is well-equipped to operate in the midfield or on the left wing. He is excellent at reading the game and making ball interceptions. Moreover, he is also gifted with excellent dribbling and passing techniques.

Liverpool want to add Antonee Robinson to their squad
Liverpool already have Andrew Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas at their disposal for the left-back role. However, Robertson is on the wrong side of 30 and the latter is not good enough to start every week. Hence, the club wants to add more depth to the position.

The Reds believe Antonee Robinson could be a great addition. The player has already proven himself in the Premier League and has all the qualities to play for a big club like Liverpool. He could provide a backup for Robertson and take up the primary role once the Scottish defender departs from Anfield.

However, Liverpool will have to beat Manchester United in the race, which is also keeping tabs on the players. Apart from that, it remains to be seen if the 27-year-old is willing to sacrifice his game time or not to join Arne Slot's side.

Raul Jimenez looking to match Javier Hernandez feat in Fulham's clash with Forest
Fulham forward Raul Jimenez will attempt to follow in Javier Hernandez's footsteps in Saturday's Premier League clash with Nottingham Forest.

Jimenez had to settle for a bench role for Fulham's first three games of the season as Marco Silva opted to use Rodrigo Muniz as his starting striker against Manchester United, Leicester City and Ipswich Town.

However, with Muniz unable to trouble the scorers, Jimenez was brought into the starting lineup for the home clash with West Ham United earlier this month.

The 33-year-old went on to find the net in a 1-1 draw against the Hammers, before he grabbed another goal in the recent 3-1 victory over Newcastle United.

Having scored in Fulham's last two league games, Jimenez is expected to retain his spot for Saturday's trip to the City Ground.

Jimenez out to replicate Hernandez feat
The former Wolverhampton Wanderers striker is hoping to become the second Mexican player to reach 50 goals in the English top flight.

Jimenez is just one goal away from reaching that milestone, having scored 49 goals in 164 Premier League appearances.

The experienced forward has scored nine top-flight goals for Fulham after he registered 40 Premier League strikes during his time with Wolves.

As it stands, Hernandez is the only Mexican who has previously broken the 50-goal barrier in the English top flight.

Hernandez scored a total of 53 Premier League goals, registering 37 for Man United and a further 16 during his two-year stint with West Ham.

Fulham targeting points landmark
While Jimenez has the chance to reach a personal milestone, he also has the opportunity to help Fulham reach a points landmark for their first six league matches.

Having taken eight points from their opening five matches, a win against Forest will see Fulham equal their highest points tally for the first six games of a Premier League season.

The Cottagers may fancy their chances of equalling that record after winning eight of their previous 11 league games against Forest.

Fulham have also won three of their last four away matches against Forest, although they did lose 3-1 on their most recent trip to the City Ground in April.

Nottingham Forest vs Fulham: Preview, predictions and lineups

Unbeaten Nottingham Forest welcome Fulham to the City Ground on Saturday
Two teams currently sit in the top half of the table
Fulham secured huge win against Newcastle last weekend

Nottingham Forest have their unbeaten record in the Premier League to defend when they take on Fulham at the City Ground this weekend.

While Forest supporters entered the season with a sense of humble optimism, only the silliest of followers would have projected Nuno Espirito Santo's side to be one of four unbeaten teams still left in the division through five games.

Forest have already recorded a historic win at Anfield and preserved their excellent start to the season with a 2-2 draw at Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend. Their hopes of consolidating in the top-flight have been boosted greatly by their beginning to the new campaign, with Santo's side currently eighth in the table.

Fulham are right on their tail, however, and Marco Silva's side enter Saturday's trip to Nottingham off the back of a hugely impressive 3-1 home win against Newcastle. The Cottagers once again appear to be a formidable outfit at Craven Cottage and may well push for a top-half finish should they improve on the road.

The west Londoners are four games unbeaten in the Premier League after losing to Manchester United on the opening night of the 2024/25 campaign.

Nottingham Forest team news
Morgan Gibbs-White is suspended for Saturday's game after he picked up two yellow cards in Forest's draw at Brighton. Santo could mitigate the playmaker's absence by placing either James Ward-Prowse or Elliot Anderson in a more advanced midfield role.

Ramon Sosa was excellent off the bench at the AMEX Stadium and could get the nod down the right on Saturday, replacing speedster Anthony Elanga.

Willy Boly could return from injury before the international break, but the defender is expected to miss out again on Saturday. Boly remains sidelined with Danilo and Ibrahim Sangare.

Nottingham Forest predicted lineup vs Fulham
Nottingham Forest predicted lineup vs Fulham (4-2-3-1): Sels; Aina, Milenkovic, Murillo, Moreno; Yates, Ward-Prowse; Sosa, Anderson, Hudson-Odoi; Wood.

Fulham team news
Fulham's clean bill of health has undoubtedly aided their bright start to the season and Silva should have a full cohort of players to choose from yet again on Saturday.

Given how well the Cottagers played against Newcastle, the manager is unlikely to tinker too much with his team.

Sander Berge could replace Sasa Lukic in the midfield pivot, while Reiss Nelson, who's scored on his previous two substitute appearances, could come in for Adama Traore down the right.

Fulham predicted lineup vs Nottingham Forest
Fulham predicted lineup vs Nottingham Forest (4-2-3-1): Leno; Tete, Andersen, Bassey, Robinson; Berge, Pereira; Nelson, Smith Rowe, Iwobi; Jimenez.

Nottingham Forest vs Fulham score prediction
Fulham have been ever so impressive at the start of the new season, with their dynamics in wide areas proving pivotal in their early success. However, a stout Forest team that's emerged as a super counter-attacking unit will put the visitors' balance and stability to the test this weekend.

The hosts are without Gibbs-White which may limit their proficiency in transition, but their talisman hasn't been overly productive through the first five weeks of the season. Others have stepped up and they'll have to play a big role if Forest are to bypass Fulham on Saturday.

This could be a contest where Forest ride their luck with the visitors creating plenty without ever providing the finishing touch. As they've shown on several occasions this term, Nuno's team merely need one sequence on the counter to steal all three points.

Prediction: Nottingham Forest 1-0 Fulham

Boly boost, bromance, team spirit - what we spotted in Nottingham Forest training ahead of Fulham
Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo has been preparing the Reds for their clash with Fulham

Making it six Premier League games unbeaten is the aim for Nottingham Forest when they take on Fulham this afternoon.

Nuno Espirito Santo's Reds have made a fine start to the new season and will be eager to keep their great form going against the Cottagers today (3pm kick-off). They are yet to win at the City Ground this term - and actually haven't won Trentside since April - so will also be keen to put that stat right.

Ahead of the game, Forest have been working hard at the Nigel Doughty Academy. The club have posted various clips and pictures on social media of the players being put through their paces, and below are some of the things we spotted.

Boly's back
Defender Willy Boly is yet to feature since the Premier League resumed after this month's international break. He picked up a calf problem in training while on duty with the Ivory Coast and has not been included in either of the match squads since linking back up with the Reds.

Head coach Nuno said prior to last weekend's 2-2 draw with Brighton and Hove Albion that the centre-back was "really close" to joining the group. In his pre-match press conference on Thursday this week he said there had been no change to the injury situation, with midfielders Danilo and Ibrahim Sangare still long-term absentees.

However, footage from Forest training shows Boly taking part in some sprinting exercises with his teammates. It remains to be seen whether he is involved against Fulham this afternoon.

Morgan to be missed
After his sending off on the south coast, Nuno admitted Morgan Gibbs-White needed picking up a bit. The England international had apologised to staff and his teammates following his dismissal and was said to be "upset" in the changing room afterwards.

"We did need to lift him up. He is very sad to be missing the game," Nuno said on Thursday lunchtime.

Forest have clearly done a good job of rallying around Gibbs-White as he looked in good spirits in footage released by the club showing the team building up to today's game. He seemed to be all smiles when sprinting alongside Anthony Elanga and got stuck in with some of the media day duties inside the Nigel Doughty Academy dome.

He is an important member of the squad, both on and off the pitch. And he will be a big miss this afternoon as he serves his one-match suspension.

"We are going to miss him a lot. He is a very special player for us and a very important player for us," Nuno said.

Team spirit
The Reds have already demonstrated their character in matches this season. They needed grit and determination to come from behind against Brighton and then again to hang on for the final few minutes with 10 men.

They are a tight-knit bunch. And the video evidence shows just how close they are as a group.

Chris Wood and Nikola Milenkovic can be seen sharing a joke when they race each other in training. Pictures of some of the players as youngsters for a quiz prompts a few laughs. And the bromance between Anthony Elanga and Ola Aina is clearly still going strong as they are shown embracing after one drill, then share a bit of banter when the former faces some quickfire questions for a feature on media day.

There is a positive spirit and a real togetherness in the camp; everyone seems to be enjoying themselves. That much is obvious in training as well as in matches.

Signings settling
Forest made 11 signings this summer, albeit two of them (Marko Stamenic and David Carmo) immediately headed out on loan. The nine new additions who are part of Nuno's squad have made positive impressions so far, and it almost seems as though they have been at the City Ground much longer than they actually have.

They all appear to have settled in very well. Alex Moreno and Ramon Sosa put their arms around each other as they pose for the cameras as they make their way out for training in one video clip. Footage also shows Jota Silva making a quip about the weather and James Ward-Prowse and Elliot Anderson teasing Ryan Yates about how he compares to a younger picture of himself.

Nuno has clearly assembled a strong group, full of quality and good characters. There is a lot to like about this bunch.

"I would expect" - Blackburn Rovers tipped to make Fulham transfer move in January
This article is part of Football League World's 'Terrace Talk' series, which provides personal opinions from our FLW Fan Pundits regarding the latest breaking news, teams, players, managers, potential signings and more...

Blackburn Rovers have started the 24/25 Championship campaign in eye-catching form, with John Eustace's side yet to taste defeat from their opening six league matches.

Three wins and three draws see the former Premier League Champions content with their early performances in the second tier, as a number of new signings bed themselves into the new surroundings.

The likes of Yuki Ohashi and Makhtar Gueye have offered promising showings during their early days as Rovers players, while Andi Weimann and Danny Batth have also contributed in the opening stretch of the season.

While the Ewood Park outfit have impressed in the early stages, there is always room for improvement within the squad, and Football League World's Blackburn Rovers fan pundit Toby Wilding has earmarked one January transfer he would like to see happen once 2025 hits.

Blackburn Rovers tipped to return for Fulham star Martial Godo
Rovers were said to be chasing Fulham's Martial Godo during the summer transfer window, although the two sides couldn't come to an agreement over a loan deal for the 21-eyar-old.

Having spent the previous campaign with Wigan Athletic in League One, the tricky winger contributed towards eight goals for the Latics, and looked set to test himself at a higher level in the 24/25 campaign.

But with the Cottagers leaving their own transfer business until late in the window, Godo seemed to be the fall guy, as he was left with the London-side until January, with very little likelihood of him featuring in the Premier League.

As a result, Wilding expects a deal to get over the line in January, with both clubs likely to benefit from the temporary switch to the north west.

The Rovers fan said: "I would expect Blackburn to go back in for Martial Godo at Fulham, they made a push to sign him on loan on deadline day, and it sounded for a time like that deal was close to happening, although ultimately it didn't.

"I wouldn't be surprised if they did go back in for it, obviously Fulham got Reese Nelson on loan from Arsenal very late in the window, so it does feel like now they would have the depth out wide to allow Godo to go out on loan.

"When you look at the fact that Arnor Sigurdsson is struggling to get in the side at the minute, and Tyrhys Dolan is certainly playing more centrally so far this season, it does feel as though that bit of extra depth on the left wing that Godo would provide might be needed come the turn of the year."

Martial Godo can aid Blackburn Rovers attacking output after impressive start
Rovers have started the season on fire in front of goal, with only Sunderland and Burnley (13) scoring more than the 12 Championship goals they have to their name in the current campaign.

With last season's Championship top scorer Sammie Smodzics leaving the club in the summer to join Ipswich Town, there were question marks over whether Eustace could rediscover that form in the final third in 24/25, but the early signs already look to be promising.

Ohashi [pictured] has hit the ground running with four goals in his first six games as a Rovers player, while Weimann has already proven his worth at Ewood Park with two strikes, including an incredible volley against rivals Burnley.

With Tyrhys Dolan being preferred in a more central role of late, there is still room for Godo to be utilised within this Blackburn squad, with his power and pace on the flanks likely to provide the perfect ammunition for the likes of Ohashi and Gueye to thrive off of.

While there may still be some regret that a summer move didn't occur, Rovers have the chance to put that right in January, with Godo likely to be eager to prove himself after failing to seal a Craven Cottage departure last month.

Nottingham Forest predicted XI vs Fulham... Nuno Espirito Santo to hand £11m player starting Premier League debut
Nottingham Forest could keep their sensational start to the season going on Saturday with Fulham making the trip to the City Ground.

Nuno Espirito Santo's side have been seriously impressive across the opening five games in the Premier League.

The Reds remain unbeaten but it is now time for the home fans to be rewarded with their first win of the season.

Seven of Forest's nine points have come on the road with wins against Southampton and Liverpool added to with a draw against Brighton & Hove Albion.

But the Reds will now be looking to secure their first home win since April which came against Fulham, ironically.

Elliot Anderson to replace Morgan Gibbs-White
Last weekend, Forest's star man Morgan Gibbs-White was shown a red card which will see him miss the game on Saturday.

Although this is going to be viewed as a blow, it could also present a real opportunity for one Forest player to step up in his absence.

This could offer Elliot Anderson the perfect opportunity to come into the starting XI playing in a more advanced role.

Fulham manager Marco Silva has already shared his caution of Anderson potentially starting having hailed him a real talent.

Ryan Yates returns to the starting XI
With Gibbs-White out and Anderson potentially making the move further up the field, this will require another holding midfielder to come into the XI.

James Ward-Prowse was taken off at half time against Brighton and replaced with Ryan Yates but the pair could line up alongside each other against the Cottagers.

This comes amid the injury issues to Ibrahim Sangare and Danilo with Nuno admitting Sangare is going to be sidelined for a period of time.

"Unfortunately, Ibrahim Sangare is going to be a while," Nuno told the media after the win against Liverpool.

Ramon Sosa to be rewarded with start
Coming on with around half an hour to go against Brighton, Ramon Sosa was able to score his first goal in a Forest shirt.

Sosa arrived at Forest having rebelled against Talleres training which meant he has had to work on his fitness.

However, he has impressed when he has come on and he could well be rewarded with a start as he has began to build up his minutes.

Starting someone like Anthony Elanga would be the obvious choice but Nuno could look to reward the Paraguayan.

Nottingham Forest predicted starting XI vs Fulham: Sels; Aina, Murillo, Milenkovic, Moreno; Yates, Ward-Prowse; Sosa, Anderson, Hudson-Odoi; Wood.

de Jesus earns draw for Fulham U21s
A double from Brad de Jesus – including a dramatic late header – ensured Fulham under 21's took a point from a pulsating Premier League International Cup opener against PSV Eindhoven at Motspur Park this evening.

Hayden Mullins' side came back from 3-0 and 4-2 down to earn a 4-4 draw with de Jesus nodding in from a deep corner five minutes into added time. Fulham's miraculous recovery from such a deficit owed much to the fighting spirit and resolve within a talented group of young players after they were outplayed by their dynamic Dutch opposition for the first seventy minutes.

The hosts made an encouraging start with Ollie Gofford driving over after bright approach play from Terrell Works, but PSV quickly began to dictate terms. Couhaib Driouech should have done better when he found himself clean through on Alex Borto's goal, but the winger chipped both the American goalkeeper and the crossbar with a disappointing finish.

The visitors did hit the front in the seventeenth minute when attacking midfielder Emir Bars completed a slick passing move after being teed up delightfully by  Jevon Simons just outside the box. Jon Esenga almost equalised with a trademark free-kick but the centre half's effort flew over the bar before Fulham escaped further punishment after Joe Ndala was brought down in the box and Driouech drilled the ensuing penalty against the crossbar.

PSV doubled their advantage right on the stroke of half time, however, with Isaac Babadi lifted a lovely ball over a square Fulham back line and Bars scored his second of the evening after accelerating in on Borto. They looked to have sealed all three points when Marcus Younis tapped home from close range after further fine wing play from Driouech from a clever counter-attack.

But Fulham didn't wallow in their disappointment. They grabbed a goal back within three minutes with de Jesus, who had only been on the field for ten minutes, nodding home after being left unattended at a corner and belief surged through the young Whites when Callum Osmand headed in a cross from Kristian Sekularac a minute later to make it 3-2. Babadi restored PSV's two-goal cushion within sixty seconds with an unerring low finish from Driouech's ball but the drama was far from finished. The Dutch youngsters' suffered a serious blow when Madi Monamay was shown a second yellow card for bringing down Osmand as Fulham launched a promising break – and the Whites poured forward in search of salvation.

Substitute Farhaan Ali Wahid set up a grandstand finale when he fired home from Jayden Quashie's pass with four minutes left and, deep into stoppage time, de Jesus headed home another corner to earn the home side a well-deserved point.

Fulham under 21s batter Black Cats
Fulham's under 21s made it four wins from four in the Premier League 2 with a crushing 5-2 victory over Sunderland at Motspur Park this evening.

The visitors almost took the lead inside the first minute through an audacious effort from Caden Kelly, which bounced back off the bar, but Fulham began to create opportunities of their own as they grew into the contest. Some superb wing play from Terrell Works, then saw him sensationally spin away from his marker, set up their first chance of the evening with visiting goalkeeper Kelichi Chibueze doing well to repel the winger's powerful finish.

Fulham took the lead from the resultant corner as another devilish delivery from Jon Esenga caused chaos in the Sunderland defence with centre back Ben Kindon unfortunately diverting the ball beyond his own goalkeeper. Josh King almost doubled the home side's advantage after bursting into space along the right flank but his low strike was well stopped by Chibueze. The England under 18s skipper wasn't to be denied a goal though – and pounced after the visitors had failed to deal with another Esenga set-piece, firing a clinical half volley into the net inside the box.

Sunderland were just as competitive in the second period and found a route back into the contest on the hour mark through a stupendous curling free-kick from Kelly that left Michael Allen with absolutely no chance. That opened up what had became a cagey contest but the hosts spurned an opportunity to put the game to bed when Chibueze saved Lemar Gordon's penalty superbly after the winger had been brought down in the box.

Hayden Mullins' men made sure of all three points three minutes later with Esenga's third telling set piece of the night ended Sunderland's challenge. This time another excellent delivery ended up in the net and Kristian Sekularac soon made it fourth after tucking home from close range after superb play from substitute Callum Osmand laid the goal on a plate for the Swiss midfielder. Osmand would have had a deserved goal four minutes from time – had his effort not taken a wicked deflection off Tom Lavery, but the Whites were well and truly home and dry by now.

Sunderland, who kept battling until the end, earned a further consolation deep into stoppage time when Trey Samuel-Ogunsuyi tapped home after Allen had made a smart save from Elias Lenz's effort. The under-21s are back in action on Tuesday evening when they begin their National League campaign at Maidenhead United.
