I have just joined FOF.

I tried to post a message. I was told the letters were not correct (security) so I clicked on the tab to send me a new group of letters and now my post has disappeared. I had already passed security with my username and password. Is it really necessary to have to go through this extra line of security with hazy, almost unreadable letters simply to post a message??

This is the gist of my first message.

I am writing a book about the time George Best played for Fulham. I am writing it to commemorate the 50th anniversary of his debut for FFC on September the 4th, 1976 when we played Bristol Rovers at the Cottage- made even more memorable by Best actually scoring the only goal of the match inside two minutes! I would like any Fulham fan, who was around in that era (or perhaps you were at the Bristol Rovers game?) and remembers watching George Best playing for us (home or away or both) to get in touch with me as I would like to hear their memories/thoughts/recollections of this former world great. You can either email me or share your memories here with other Fulham fans and they will be gratefully received with thanks and I can then use them for my book. If this message could find its way onto the General Discussion page, then that would be great.
