Has past away. 76. Gold Medal winner. Twice won the World Heavy Weight Title. Second time at 45.
Made a bigger fortune from the 'George Foreman Grilling Machine' than boxing.
Five sons, seven daughters.
All his sons were called George. When asked why, said.
"I named all my sons George Edward Foreman so they would always have something in common. I say to them, 'If one of us goes up, then we all go up together, and if one goes down, we all go down together!'"
He packed alot into those 76 years. RIP

I like the comment he made about that fight.
When Ali shouted at him, "come on is that all you got"

I realised I was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Story of my life
"I was looking back to see if she was looking back to see if i was looking back at her"
Sadly she wasn't

Just downloaded'when we were kings' from sky which is a great documentary and features the rumble in the jungle which is his iconic fight with Ali, well worth a watch.

Yup, When We Were Kings is an awesome Boxing Documentary, love that, highly recommended, the music and atmosphere, politics and shenanigans and the fight itself when boxing really meant something...incredible.

George was one heck of a guy, RIP...

Nice interview with George, Joe And Ali, and Joanna Luvley....

The thing that always struck me with Ali is that he was the most accurate boxer ever. When he aimed a punch, especially to the head, he rarely missed
Remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
I will be as good as I can be and when I cross the finishing line I will see what it got me

RIP Big George

His fights vs Joe Frazier and Ron Lyle showed his amazing strength

Remember watching the Rumble in the Jungle as a kid. Ali was one of my heroes and I thought that he was being completely battered.

There will never be another time in boxing like that one. The main three will be remembered forever. RIP George.

Yes and although he was rarely a one-punch knockout fighter (ignore the second Liston fight) his hand speed was terrific as was ability to sway out of trouble. Remember too that the years lost because of his refusal to fight in Vietnam (...mmmm...as did Maga) meant he lost  key years that should have been his peak.
