Well 100% take that at half time
Limited them to half chances and had the best chances of the game ourselves.

Fair play, I don't like sitting back like this as it just feels inevitable that well concede but hey.

If we grind out a win somehow absolute credit to the team and Marco. Woulda taken a drawn before the game. Biggest thing is of course not to do the classic thing of having a lapse early second half and the game flow flips on its head. They're gonna get in our faces early you'd think

TC has an aura of calm which has been missing in our games of late.

Van Dijk is looking a bit rattled, good sign that.

Fulham 1879

Jimenez has been superb. Let's hope he doesn't run out of gas. He's played a lot of minutes.

Playing as a quarter back today in this system , and he's done very well at it

First State

I'll take 1-0 over Liverpool and halftime. Need to come out strong in the second half.

I'm happy with that performance. We started a bit slowly (possibly in relation to the medical emergency to a member of our staff, possibly unrelated), but since that 1 corner we won after a nice one-two between Castagne and Lukic we gained control of the match. The goal was really simple and really nice, excellent from Cuenca, Raul and of course, Wilson. We then completely controlled the game in the next 15 or so minutes and then in the last 15 or so we lost it but we defended well still.

Liverpool had that one early chance with Gakpo and then the other one that Castagne blocked well, but generally speaking, we've been really comfortable defensively.

Special mention to Castagne, who was, imo rightfully criticised after his last performance, but who has been arguably our MOTM so far. Excellent both defensively and offensively so far today.

Death , Taxes and Harry Wilson .
Our tactic of constantly alternating between marking the man and marking the space crushed them , at the 34th min they just gassed out slowed the game down . Have to keep the pressure on otherwise they get air back in the tyres
If it wasn't for the medication I,d be chewing on your skin

Yep he's been very good today

This system is much more set up to his strengths personally than what we normally play

He thought he was offside. Showed a close up of him after it and you could read his lips and he said something like "I was off" or "I was just off".

He does, but sometimes that can lead to him being closed down and losing the ball in midfield. So far he's been getting it right but it's noticeable how they rush towards him whenever he gets the ball. He has the vision to exploit the spaces that leaves though.

Scouseland not a happy place today.

Can I just check what you mean by a quarter back please Jay?

Coastwalker

Well that didn't take long.
Come on Var

LittleErn

There's the warning. Wake up call.

Deeping_white

You could fit most of Fulham in that gap, VAR most certainly not needed. Castagne needs to wake up though

ron

That dreaded first minute of the second half....
