Quite crazy how this newbie to womens NBA has absolutely taken the league by storm.

I'll admit im one of those who got sucked into the league just by her, and after some digging i can't believe how popular she is, rightly so. She is absolutely unreal.

I have some stats here which you may find interesting.

- Since Clark's injury on May 24, national TV ratings for WNBA games have dropped by over 55%.

- Clark's Google search volume skyrocketed to over 10 million searches, marking a staggering 583% increase from the previous year.In a notable period, Clark was the most searched athlete in 21 U.S. states, surpassing LeBron James in search interest in those regions.

- Ticket Price Drops of 47% to 71%

Road game vs. Washington Mystics: Cheapest resale ticket prices dropped by 47% after injury news.

Home game vs. Chicago Sky: Ticket prices on resale market fell by 71%.

I also wonder how the WNBA transitions from her, tv ratings fall off a cliff when she is injured, ticket prices tank, stadiums hardly sell out.

Tough situation for all those involved depending on how you look at it  ::beer::

She is treated horribly by other teams players they are so jealous of her but in theory they should be delighted that the women's game is growing and wages are going up . She is good for the game her team mate defended her after she got slapped and shoved to the floor and her jersey sold out everywhere after the game

While surfing through the TV channels recently  by chance I saw the end of a game she played in.

I have only a vague interest in Basketball but was hooked when I saw her play.

The game was Indiana Fever (her team) v Connecticut Sun and Clark was being targeted physically but her team mate Sophie Cunningham played the role of enforcer and battered the opposition players.

Brilliant stuff!

Sophie Cunningham graduated from the same university that I did. She was by far our best ever player.

She was playing for Phoenix Mercury too (sister club of the Phoenix Suns, my favorite NBA team), such a cool girl and a good basketball player.
