Bayern striker Jonah Kusi-Asare's loan to FC Fulham will not be cut short. A player is only permitted to play competitive matches for two clubs per season, which is the case for Kusi-Asare. Beyond that, the Londoners want to keep the 18-year-old because he's training better and better. Coach Marco Silva has also promised Kusi-Asare (so far just 28 Premier League minutes) more playing time in the second half of the season.

Really encouraging to hear that. His pressing has looked a bit better last few appearances which I like, and after games and in off pitch photos I've seen it seemed as if he's happy and building some relationships in the squad.
good news is that as think Muniz won't be match fit till April.
Also another big money striker will struggle to get regular time playing.

Quote from: Chi_FFC on January 09, 2026, 07:37:00 PMPepi actually has averaged a goal every 75 minutes in the Eredivisie while with PSV. Throw in his first season in the Netherlands with Groningen (when he was 19) and it's a goal every 116 minutes. He's also averaged a goal every 75 minutes in the Champions League. His domestic GPM record with PSV is better than Kezman's and significantly better than Haller's. Now to be fair we're talking about a fairly small sample size in the case of Pepi and I tend to fall in the camp that is not sold on the wisdom of spending a lot of money on him.

That's actually a good GPM ratio in that case, but only highlights they want a lot for someone who's not even a regular starter (I'm aware of his injury last season) - smacks of quite a heavy Premier League tax being added to this deal (also because they don't want to sell in January anyway, fair enough).

Good GPM record (when he's played) but never been a regular starter. Sounds a bit Muniz-esque, but Muniz's goals have come in this league and we paid a fraction of the price. It's mainly the price tag I have an issue with - unless we can drive it down well below £30m it doesn't sound like the sort of deal we'd go for. Hopefully we have other options lined up as can't see us being able to get this down to a realistic number in Jan.

Maybe one to revisit in the summer.

Christ I wish this rumour would just die already.

I just can't see it - hasn't played for ages, would take him half his time here to get any sort of match sharpness/fitness and would he get the game time needed anyway given the competition? Plus why would/should he get it over our own players if it's a loan? If we got him in the summer with an option, fair enough. Now? It makes little to no sense on too many levels, great a player as he was.

Hopefully we learned the less from Loftus Cheek about signing woefully unfit Chelsea players on loan with no option on them.

Ricardo Pepi may have broken his arm tonight. So thats one we will probably have to forget about

Best sign him up then, that's our USP

Confirmed arm break so will be out for a while 😐😑 perhaps the striker signing will indeed have to wait till the summer

Maybe it's a blessing. Imagine if we bought him for 35m and he brought his arm vs Boro.

Looking at the photos there's next to no chance that he'll be playing again in two months,
Hopefully we had other options available 🙏🏻

Strand Larsen scored a hattrick for Wolves yesterday. We know he can score goals in the premier league, I would rather sign him then Pepi.

Hatch007

with the caveat that his hat trick was against Shrewsbury.

Prior to yesterday he's scored 1 Goal in 19 PL games this season.

It's a no from me

Perfect, Silva wouldn't play him for that long anyway.🤣

Sadly she wasn't

Just as much as he's shown he can score goals in the Prem, he's also shown he's capable of not being consistent. If you're spending that sort of money, I'd expect something more to be honest.

I think this gives us more chance of signing him now at the right price. They were putting a stupid price tag on him as they needed him this season. Sounds like at least 2 months out taking to mid March at best. That is half of the remainder of the season so not much use to them now. Sounds like they are short up there so may need to buy now now to cover him. Perhaps they may be tempted by the £26m now?!

He clearly seems to be our number one target for our Raul replacement. It's an arm break rather than knee ligaments so we know it won't affect his game longer term. Muniz is back soon and Raul is playing well. If I were Fulham I'd push to see if we can get that £26m deal through now or it could go back to £40m in the summer. Would also mean Marco had him for an entire pre season!!! 😀👍

But will he? Isn't he likely to be part of the USA World Cup squad? If so, won't he be due a three-week break once his country are eliminated?
