When you break it down to its nuts and bolts , the controlling entities behind the Premier League want the game slowed down and extra time added , an average 6 min longer 1st and 2nd half is more ad revenue, more exposure for sponsors either at the ground or on the kits. Its just pure greed driving the game now. The chances of having an open flowing game with allowed contact are gone forever while greed is in control and VAR is being used to generate revenue rather than assist a referee with a decision . Thats the only reason for VAR now - generate revenue

Excellent post.  So far, the premier games I have seen on tv have been a huge disappointment.  Biase towards the usual teams, boring tippy tappy football, stops too often for too long  etc.  I have sky but if this continues  it could well be bye, bye, sky.

I live in Scotland now so rarely get to the cottage so limited to last spot, 3 minutes on match of the day.

The last thing I want to see is Webb and co trying to explain their dreadful mistakes after every game but something has to change and get football back where it belongs.  To the supporters.
