I never found a Hodgson game dull. Isn't that a narrative that comes from the far less refined Palace fans? IMO, only people who can't admire the art of defending could find it dull. I would say those people just lacked football intelligence to appreciate half of what the game is about

Then I'm not sure that you went to many away games in the league, especially 08/09 we had a dreadful run of form one goal in 6 away games, just about the worst run in terms of performance, it was breathtakingly dull.

I don't travel to that many away games in the league, just for the odd cup run and our wonderful European adventure. However I can only say that I rarely found the Roy era games I watched dull, albeit mainly at the Cottage.

We were quite a different beast both at home and away in the Europa- but worth saying I'm still and always will be a huge Roy fan.

To be clear I'm not saying I found us dull under Woy as a rule. There were tons of exciting games where his tactics utterly destroyed the opposition. However we were definitely more prone to it than we have been under Silva IMO.

A cautionary note - over the last few seasoned consistent has been how badly we fade away for the last few months of the season!
Hopefully a bad habit we break this season.
