Harry Wilson injury update after Fulham win vs Tottenham
Harry Wilson is an early doubt for Fulham's Premier League match against West Ham on Wednesday night due to an ankle injury.

The 28-year-old scored Fulham's opener and also provided the assist for Alex Iwobi's goal in their 2-1 win at home to Tottenham on Sunday.

However, Wilson was forced off in the 72nd minute of the game at Craven Cottage after suffering an ankle problem in the first half.

The winger now faces a tight turnaround to be fit for Fulham's next Premier League game against West Ham on Wednesday.

'At half time he [Wilson] gave us the feedback that we probably have to change,' Fulham manager Marco Silva said after his side beat Spurs.

'He kept going but it was very difficult for him in the last 20 minutes to support [the team].

'He twisted the ankle a bit. Let's see how it's going to be in the next few days.'

Wilson has been one of Fulham's standout performers this season with nine goals and six assists in the Premier League.

El Hadji Malick Diouf to eagerly await Marco Silva update after Fulham injury blow
El Hadji Malick Diouf will be waiting to hear from Marco Silva ahead of West Ham's trip to Craven Cottage, as his job could be made easier against Fulham.

The Senegalese fullback has been one of the Hammers' best performers throughout the season, with Diouf now joint-top for assists by defenders in the Premier League.

However, while his attacking threat has been a key asset, Nuno Espirito Santo will be relying on his defensive qualities on Wednesday evening as well.

The 21-year-old could be in line for a tricky matchup against the in-form Harry Wilson. The Welshman has 15 goal contributions this season.

There could be good news for Diouf, however, as Wilson was taken off against Tottenham on Sunday, with his fitness for Wednesday a doubt.

What is the latest on Harry Wilson's fitness for West Ham fixture?
Wilson's injury does not seem to be too serious, but with a short turnaround from Sunday to Wednesday, that could be enough to rule him out.

Speaking after the game, Silva said: "He twisted the ankle a bit. Let's see how it's going to be in the next few days," and right now, that is the latest we have on the winger's availability.

Now, Diouf will be waiting to hear anything more concrete on the 28-year-old's availability.

In the reverse fixture, Wilson picked up an assist against West Ham, as Raul Jimenez netted an 85th-minute winner.

But on that occasion, Diouf was away with Senegal at AFCON, with Ollie Scarles deployed at left-back at the London Stadium.

Nonetheless, if the 28-year-old is not able to play, that will be excellent news for the Senegalese defender.

Although the job would be easier, there is still plenty of threats for Diouf to consider.

Who could Malick Diouf come up against in Wilson's absence?
If Wilson is ruled out, then Samuel Chukwueze could be the likely man to take his place on Wednesday evening.

The Nigerian replaced Wilson against Tottenham, and his skillset would pose a completely different challenge compared to the Welshman.

Chukwueze is more known for his speed and dribbling compared to Wilson's technical qualities on the ball.

However, Diouf may be primed to deal with the Nigerian, as over this season, he rarely gets dribbled past.

As per Sofascore, he only gets dribbled past 0.5 times per game.

After a strong performance against Liverpool for the West Ham defender, he will certainly have plenty of confidence in this London derby.

Marco Silva speaks out on Harry Wilson situation amid Aston Villa transfer plan
Fulham head coach Marco Silva has addressed Harry Wilson's future amid transfer links with Villa

Fulham head coach Marco Silva has addressed Harry Wilson's future amid transfer links with Aston Villa.

Villa are said to be interested in Wilson, who will be a free agent in the summer.

The Wales international is enjoying a good season for Fulham and scored his 13th goal of the season as they beat Tottenham in the Premier League on Sunday.

Speaking after the match, Silva said: "He is enjoying this season. He has the people around him to take care of these types of things, the contract situation.

"Our club is trying to have contact with them as much as we can to try to solve it.

"As you know, I am not hiding myself at all in this moment. The better he is going to play, the fight is going to be bigger. It's clear, but we prefer it this way.

"Of course, when a player goes into the last year of his contract, if he performs so well like Harry is doing, these types of things are going to happen. The reality is that we are not giving up at all.

"We are very pleased with him, he is enjoying life with us as well. Now is the moment for the people around him to take care of his future. And of course, for us as a football club to try to get him with us, if we can, for the next year."

Fulham: Marco Silva issues Harry Wilson and Joachim Andersen latest amid double injury worry
High performer was forced off injured in London derby win

Marco Silva has issued an update on Harry Wilson after the Fulham winger was substituted against Tottenham.

The Cottagers won 2-1 against their struggling London rivals, with Silva's side moving to ninth in the Premier League table.

However, they lost their man of the moment, Wilson, to injury in the second half, with Samuel Chukwueze replacing him in the 72nd minute.

The Welshman was struggling with a knock that he had picked up in the first half, Silva revealed.

"Wilson said at half time [that] he might need to be taken off," the Portuguese explained.

"We waited a bit, but he got a knock. He twisted his ankle. Let's see how he is in the next few days."

Wilson opened the scoring at Craven Cottage, volleying home to set the hosts en route to a big three points.

The west London outfit were also without first-choice centre-back Joachim Andersen, who missed out on the matchday squad.

He was replaced in the starting XI by Issa Diop, who slotted alongside Calvin Bassey at the heart of defence.

It is a double injury blow that adds to Silva's growing list of absentees, with Sasa Lukic and Kevin also sidelined.

Lukic is dealing with a hamstring injury, while Brazilian winger Kevin has needed surgery on a metatarsal issue.

The Serbian midfielder Lukic has been "in and out of training" according to the Fulham boss, who revealed that he could be "back in contention" for the Cottagers' upcoming fixtures against West Ham in midweek and then against Southampton in the FA Cup.

Igor Tudor faces FA punishment after Tottenham loss to Fulham
Igor Tudor made some controversial remarks following Tottenham's defeat to Fulham.

Igor Tudor could be punished by the FA over his comments after Tottenham's defeat at the hands of Fulham on Sunday afternoon. The north Londoners were plunged deeper into relegation trouble after shipping two first-half goals at Craven Cottage. Harry Wilson opened the scoring after just seven minutes before former Arsenal man Alex Iwobi doubled their lead before the break.

Richarlison halved the deficit for Tottenham in the second half but it wasn't enough to inspire a comeback and they were forced to accept defeat. Tudor, who is yet to win a Premier League match since taking temporary charge of the club, was left furious and made some controversial remarks after the final whistle.

He took aim at referee Thomas Bramall, twice describing him as a 'home team referee' who 'doesn't understand football. Tudor also accused Fulham striker Raul Jimenez of 'cheating' by pushing Radu Dragusin in the build-up to Wilson's opening goal.

"I didn't like the referee today, too much of a home team referee," said the Croatian. "I didn't feel well with him. All the decisions were on their side. He doesn't understand football, the feeling of what is wrong and what is right.

"He [Jimenez] was not thinking about the ball, he was thinking how to cheat, he cheated the player, was pushing, it was cheating and it's a foul. Ninety-nine of 100 people will say it's a foul, it's so obvious."

Tudor's comments would appear to be a violation of FA rules, particularly Rule E3, which covers improper conduct, insulting words or bringing the game into disrepute.

The governing body is yet to confirm an investigation into Tudor's remarks but managers have been punished for less in the past. Sanctions typically range from official warnings to heavy fines and touchline bans.

It remains to be seen how the situation will play out, with a fine likely. Any further punishment handed down to Tudor could disrupt Tottenham's season even more.

He also spoke about the growing threat of Premier League relegation after the final whistle at Craven Cottage, saying: "We need to find forces inside each of us. Where are we going to go?

"When we attack, we lack the quality to score the goals. I want to see everything more, more personality, more wish to do things. We were not good, lacked everything. Attacking and defending. Fulham were much better.

"Of course it is a confidence problem, it's not about systems. I don't want to speak about relegation all the time. I give the same answer, my answer is always the same.

"We don't need to think about that [relegation], not because it cannot happen, but we must focus on growing mentality as a team, concentration, physically."

Fulham: No one has the groins — Iwobi talks up unique goal against Tottenham
Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi has claimed that his goal for Fulham in Saturday's London derby against Tottenham was a unique strike, suggesting that only a few players have the technique to hit the ball in such a manner, Soccernet.ng reports.

Iwobi delivered yet another standout performance at Craven Cottage, helping Fulham secure a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Spurs. While the match was a tense affair, the Cottagers managed to eke out a result against their city rivals.

Harry Wilson opened the scoring after just seven minutes, before Iwobi doubled the lead in the 34th minute following a slick give-and-go with Wilson. After collecting a fine lay-off, the Nigerian international struck the ball with immense power, watching it clip the bottom-left woodwork before ricocheting into the net.

The strike was a sight for sore eyes—not only because of the distance but because of the specific technique involved.

The 29-year-old struck the ball with the inside of his right foot without leaning back to generate force. This was particularly unusual, as most players from that range would typically lean back or use their laces to find that kind of power.

What Alex Iwobi Said About His Goal in Fulham vs Tottenham
Following the whistle, Iwobi opened up about the mechanics behind his goal. He admitted his technique was rare, noting that many players would struggle to generate that level of force using the side of their foot.

"Unique—that's the best way to put it (my goal). I don't think anyone has the groins to open up their hip and side-foot it like that," Iwobi said, per Jack Kelly.

"When Harry passed to me, I had one thought: to side-foot it. I do it in training, so my teammates weren't surprised."

Iwobi's strike against Tottenham takes his tally for the season to four goals in 22 Premier League appearances. He will be looking to maintain this impressive form for the Cottagers in the coming weeks.

A Rough Guide To Fulham
After a trip to a good old fashioned football ground in Hillsborough as opposed to a stadium or arena, we visit Craven Cottage, another stadium that harks back to the stadium designs of the past.

The Ground
Fulham has in the past been a good old traditional style football ground and with it's latest development has thankfully stayed in line with the feel of the other 3 sides. It has that feel with two big ends behind the goals along with the 119 year old main stand with the Cottage in the corner.

With the new Riverside Stand now open, it is certainly impressive and has added to the ground and enhanced the lay out rather than turned it into a soulless bowl.

Although it is usually 2 or 3,000 short on the maximum capacity, although part of that may be that some areas of the new stand might have not yet been opened as the max attendance for the big clubs when they are in town is around 27,700.

Saints fans are situated in the Putney End, a stand built just over a decade ago it holds 6,000 in total divided into roughly half being allocated to visiting supporters with the other half usually being a neutral zone which often sees away supporters in that section as well. Strangely for a stand built fairly recently it does have some supporting pillars that obstruct the view but only in the rear section.

Saints have sold their allocation for this game have received extra tickets and are still trying to get more, meaning that there will be around 5,000 Saints fans backing the team.

In the 3rd round Fulham hosted Middlesbrough and the attendance was around 20,000, so I would expect that it will be something similar for this one.

Although it is divided in half in the seated area, all the fans go in the same turnstile block and home and away fans mingle in the concourse under the stand.

Beer and the usual food stuff is available, but although the kiosks are covered from the rain etc they are open being just under the stand at the back so are cold in winter and for those that haven't noticed it is still just about winter out there.

If you do like a beer in the ground etc then a good tip is go to the kiosk in the left hand corner and then you can enjoy a fine view of the Thames as it goes past the ground.

Getting There

Train
The easiest and by far the quickest way is to change at Clapham Junction and take a train to Putney, the train from Clapham takes between 3 -6 minutes depending on the train.

However there are rail works on the line between Southampton & Basingstoke, meaning that instead of the usual 1hr 20 mins, it will take about 30 minutes longer, there are two options, replacement bus to Basingstoke and then train to Clapham or the re routed service that goes via Havant.

From Putney it is about a 15-20 minute walk including a short walk over Putney Bridge from where you can see Craven Cottage nestling on the banks of the Thames.

For those that prefer to go into Central London you need to pick up a westbound district line tube going to Wimbledon and alight at Putney Bridge.

Car

There are a couple of options, perhaps the most direct is to follow the M3 as it then becomes the A316 after passing through Richmond follow directions for the A205 (South Circular) eastbound to Putney. Putney is just across the river from Craven Cottage about a 10-15 minute walk. but will probably offer the best options for parking.

Parking

Parking around Craven Cottage is extremely limited with 1 hour parking meters being the only options, which are obviously no good for those wanting to spend longer than that watching the game.

Perhaps the best option would be to park over the river in Putney where there are many options including street parking, the farther you go away from the Bridge the cheaper and easier is the rule. and its obviously well situated to head back to the M3 afterwards.

Parking at Richmond is one option and then a train 4 stops to Putney, however Twickenham a little nearer by road and two stops up from Clapham, might offer cheaper parking options.

Pubs Eating Etc

The Eight Bells on Fulham High Street next to Putney Bridge is a popular pub with away fans but tends to get extremely busy, nearby there is also the Temperance Bar and the Golden Lion as well as The Kings Arms, again these are likely to be packed with Saints supporters.

If you have parked over in Putney or got the train to there, then that might offer the best chance for a pre match drink given the few options near the ground will probably be busy, there are a number of pubs near Putney Station and on the walk to the ground, imcluding a Wetherspoons next to Putney bridge.

Quirky Fulham Facts.

1. Fulham has a few famous fans but suffers from it's more cool & trendy rival Chelsea being only a few miles away, these include actor Hugh Grant, actor & comedian Keith Allen and by family tradition his singer daughter Lily. Wolfie Smith in the 1970's TV show Citizen Smith.

The Bloke Karate Kicked by Eric Cantona in 1996 (it was assumed that he was a Palace fan but apparently he was a regular at Fulham) and Barry from Eastenders.

2. Craven Cottage is called that as it used to have a cottage on the site which was conveniently burnt down which allowed the stadium to be built in 1896 and Fulham built a little area in the corner where the changing rooms and directors box was housed, this structure is still visible in the corner of the ground next to the away end.

It's not really a cottage though

3, The stadium is the nearest ground to the River Thames, it literally sits on it, since the rebuilding of the stand on that side, there has never been a ball kicked into the river, in the past many balls would go in and cost Fulham an awful lot of money in replacements.

In the year 2014 with the global cost of footballs rising and building materials dropping, it was decided that it would be more cost effective to build a higher stand.

However Sunday could see that record smashed and on oddschecker jack Stephens is 1-2 on to clear the stand and land one of his clearances in the Thames at some point in the game.

4. Fulham FC is actually the oldest football club in London, founded in 1879 by a group of friends who used to meet regularly in a nearby Church hall, they were originally called Fulham St. Andrew's Church Sunday School FC by the original Craven Cottage, hence their nickname to Cottagers.

Preceding our own founding in 1885 by 6 years they could have beaten us to the nickname of the Saints, something I think many of their modern day fans wish they had of done, given the modern day meaning of the word Cottager.

5.Fulham is one pf those clubs that don't really have a real rival, Chelsea is of course the nearest club, being only around a mile and a half away, but in the modern era, Chelsea care more about rivalry with the big London clubs such as Spurs & Arsenal than their close neighbours.

Brentford & QPR are fairly near but they are both nearer each other than Fulham, so again it is a rivalry of convenience when they are in the same division, than one of local pride, especially given that due to the gentrification of both Fulham & Chelsea there are few fans that actually live withing 2 miles of either ground.

In a survey of 2022, it was estimated that there were only 27 Chelsea fans who either had an income of less than £200k per year or were not celebrities who lived withing 2 miles of Stamford Bridge, under the same calculations there were around 350 Fulham fans near Craven Cottage.

6. Fulham FC has made appearances in various films and TV shows, including the movie "The Omen" and the TV series "The Bill," Dennis Waterman Characters in Minder & The Sweeney was portrayed as a Fulham fan in both programmes, however Waterman himself was a Chelsea fan in real life.

7. In a curious twist, a statue of Michael Jackson was once erected outside Craven Cottage. Commissioned by former owner Mohamed Al Fayed, a friend of Jackson, the statue was a unique and somewhat controversial feature until its removal in 2013.

8. Fulham FC has an intriguing mention in Agatha Christie's renowned detective fiction. In her novel "The Seven Dials Mystery," characters discuss going to see a Fulham match, seamlessly integrating the club into the narrative. They were later all arrested by Dennis Waterman & John Thaw, who had initially been taken off the case, but were reinstated in time to make the collar.

9. Someone called Example is also a fan of Fulham, but I am not really sure who he is.

Tottenham boss Igor Tudor labels Fulham star a 'cheat' and risks FA punishment
Igor Tudor continued his losing start as Tottenham manager and his post-match comments about referee Thomas Bramall and Fulham's Raul Jimenez could land him in trouble

Tottenham boss Igor Tudor has risked being punished by the FA for his criticism of the referee in Spurs' abject 2-1 loss away to Fulham on Sunday. Tudor, 47, made some fiery post-match comments, including labelling Fulham striker Raul Jimenez a 'cheat'.

The Croatian, who took charge of Tottenham a fortnight ago, has lost both of his games, leaving them 16th in the Premier League table and only four points above the relegation zone. Spurs went behind after just seven minutes at Craven Cottage, as Harry Wilson broke the deadlock.

But Tudor was unhappy with part of the build-up to the goal, arguing that Jimenez had fouled Tottenham centre-back Radu Dragusin. It was similar to an incident in last weekend's North London derby, as Spurs were controversially denied a goal for a push on Arsenal's Gabriel Magalhaes by Randal Kolo Muani.

"Of course it's a foul, I think," Tudor said regarding Sunday's incident. "Nine out of 10 people will say it's a foul, I believe, because it's so obvious, you know.

"Sometimes they don't understand it's enough, even small contact, you know, if it gives you an advantage to score the goal, you need to cancel this, finish it. It's not about a normal duel when he's soft, no, when he pushes with the hands and don't watch the ball, no. Sometimes it's just easy to get advantage."

The ex-Juventus manager also took aim at referee Thomas Bramall's performance, saying: "I didn't like the referee today, too much of a home team referee. I didn't feel well with him. All the decisions were on their side. He doesn't understand football, the feeling of what is wrong and what is right."

His comments on Bramall could be deemed as a violation of FA rules. Rule E3 which covers improper conduct, insulting words or bringing the game into disrepute.

Tudor wasn't done there, though, doubling down on his verdict on Wilson's goal. "This is ridiculous to not give the foul, because the consequence is too big. It's not a small foul in the middle of the pitch, it's a goal after," he added.

"There is a logic in that, so the referee, beautiful thing to keep playing here, let's play strong, duel, it's fantastic, I like it. But there is a logic, if the goal is, because he take advantage, not thinking about football, he was not thinking about the ball, he was thinking how to cheat.

"He cheated, the player, with pushing and they scored the goal. So, it's logic, it's cheating and there's the foul. It's not the thing of duel and they want that here is a football is more, you know, tough and we like the duels, it's nothing with that. there was no logic in this decision and logic is above everything, after come other things."

Tottenham are next in action on Thursday, hosting Crystal Palace. By then, Tudor's side could find themselves in 17th place and a mere one point above the drop zone.

Fulham vs West Ham early injury news as 4 ruled out and 3 doubts
All the early injury news surrounding Fulham and West Ham as they prepare to face off in the Premier League.

Fulham and West Ham return to action on Wednesday when they face off at Craven Cottage. Fulham picked up a big win over the weekend, defeating Tottenham to remain in the thick of the European race, now three points off the final European spot, though eighth could also become a European place under the new format.

West Ham are still in the thick of the relegation battle, but their defeat to Liverpool did not cost them, with the three teams directly above them all losing as well. Nottingham Forest face Manchester City during the week, so this will be seen as an opportunity for the Hammers. Here we round up all the early injury news surrounding both teams heading into this one.

Kevin - Out
Kevin is now out for the season, with Marco Silva having said: "Kevin, as was the feeling after the game, is serious and is going to be out. We are waiting, but probably, he is going to have surgery next Monday, and is going to be out for some weeks. It is the metatarsal, but soon we are going to have more feedback from our medical staff."

Joachim Andersen - Doubt
Andersen has been dealing with illness and will be battling to return here.

Harry Wilson - Doubt
Wilson has picked up a small injury, with Silva explaining: "At half-time, he gave us the feedback that we probably have to change. He kept going, but it was very difficult for him in the last 20 minutes to support [the team]. He twisted the ankle a bit. Let's see how it's going to be in the next few days." Wilson will be assessed here, but there is a tight turnaround.

Sasa Lukic - Doubt
Silva said recently: "Sasa and the others have been in and out [of training], but [are] back in contention. They have had a good week so far, and of course, we have another session before the game to take decisions." Lukic has been due to return but he hasn't managed it yet, so he will remain a doubt.

Freddie Potts - Out (Suspended)
Potts is out until mid-March following his red card in the FA Cup.

Pablo Felipe - Out
Santo has said: "We have to go day-by-day and assess him. Getting better each day, and hopefully, he can join us soon." It's expected the calf injury will keep Pablo out for a couple of weeks at least.

Lukasz Fabianski - Out
Fabianski is finally back in training but it will take some time to be ready to play, and he is not likely to be one of the top two options in any case.

Deal agreed: Medical booked as striker who's "got everything" chooses between Fulham, Derby and Brighton
Fulham and Derby County are set to lose the race for a striker who's "got everything", with a deal now in place for him to join Brighton.

Cottagers eyeing summer move for new striker
The Cottagers have been in fantastic form as of late, winning their last three matches in all competitions, and Harry Wilson has been paramount to their success, most recently scoring the opening goal in the 2-1 victory against Tottenham Hotspur.

Raul Jimenez was involved in the build-up to Wilson's goal, and interim Spurs boss Igor Tudor accused the Mexican of cheating, given that he had two hands on Radu Dragusin's back.

Tudor said: "The referee's beautiful thing [is] to keep playing here. Let's play strong duels. It's fantastic. I like it. But there is a logic. If the goal is because he takes advantage, not thinking about football, he was not thinking about the ball. He (Jimenez) was thinking of how to cheat."

Jimenez has done a stellar job leading the line for Marco Silva's side recently, bagging six Premier League goals since the end of December, but the 34-year-old's future is in doubt, with his contract due to expire this summer.

As such, Fulham have set out to sign a new striker, and PSV Eindhoven star Ricardo Pepi has been heavily linked with a move to Craven Cottage, while Rangers striker Chris Condy has also been of interest for quite some time.

However, according to a report from The Daily Record, Brighton are set to win the race for Condy, with a deal in place, and a medical has already been booked, with the 16-year-old expected to complete a move to the Premier League.

The Seagulls have agreed a fee with the Scottish giants, which will also come as disappointing news for Derby County, given that the Championship side were leading the race for the youngster's signature during the January transfer window.

Condy could be a future star
After scoring a remarkable solo goal for Rangers U17s back in December, the starlet received high praise from coach John Walker, who suggested he has the skill-set to become a star.

As such, it is disappointing Fulham appear to have missed out on the centre-forward, but given his age, he is likely to be some way off first-team level, and bringing in an experienced striker is more important, with Jimenez yet to extend his current contract.

Pepi could be the ideal option proving himself by picking up three goals and one assist in five Champions League games this season, while Palmeiras star Flaco Lopez could be an exciting alternative...

Wales wizard Wilson 'enjoying' football at Fulham
Marco Silva promised Fulham would do everything they can to ensure Harry Wilson enjoys more years at Craven Cottage.

Wales international Wilson scored his 10th goal of an impressive campaign in Sunday's 2-1 home win over Tottenham.

The fine displays of Wilson have earned him plenty of admirers, especially with his Fulham contract set to expire this summer, and Silva expressed his desire to get the 28-year-old to put pen to paper on fresh terms in west London.

"He's enjoying this season. He has the people around him to take care of the contract situation. Our club is trying to have contact with them as much as they can to solve it," Silva revealed.

"I'm not going to hide it, the better he plays, the fight (to keep him) is going to be bigger. It's clear, but we prefer it in this way.

"Of course when a player goes into the last year of his contract and is performing so well like Harry is doing, it's going to happen, these type of things.

"The reality is we are not giving up at all. We are very pleased with him. He's enjoying life with us as well.

"Now it's a moment for the people around him to take care of his future and of course for us as a football club to try to get him with us for the next years."

Legend of the Match Result: Spurs
Issa Diop has been named Royal Caribbean Legend of the Match from Fulham's 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.

A late addition to the starting XI after Joachim Andersen was taken ill, Diop stepped up magnificently, not allowing the Spurs attack line a sniff of goal.

The best example was his perfectly timed slide tackle on compatriot Randal Kolo Muani, while he also made a crucial block to divert Yves Bissouma's first half effort off target.

It was a performance that rightfully garnered praise from his Head Coach Marco Silva after the game, and he duly received almost half (47.4%) of the Legend of the Match vote.

Alex Iwobi was the recipient of the Premier League's MOTM trophy, and he duly came second in our fan vote with 29.5%, ahead of Oscar Bobb (5.6%) who enjoyed a very impressive full Premier League debut for the Club.

January members' questions answered
The Trust received a number of questions from our members that were put to the Fulham Football Club last month in place of our usual monthly meeting. We have received the following answers from Fulham FC:

QUESTION: 'Water supply seems to be an issue in the Hammersmith End, slowing down the sale of hot beverages, for example tea and coffee. What is the problem and can anything be done?

ANSWER: Tea and Coffee is served via urns, so it depends on how quickly the urn can refill and reboil. We are working with Zip and Brita at the moment to install boiling taps.

QUESTION: Can away team flags be re-introduced on the Riverside walk?

ANSWER: This isn't something that we have planning permission for – if the correspondent is referring to the similar style of flags that we had decades ago. It is not something we would look to do as they could not remain a permanent structure.

QUESTION: The self-service beer pouring machines in H4 and H5 keep breaking down and queues elsewhere make it difficult to get a drink at half-time.

Tottenham handed Harry Wilson goal verdict vs Fulham after Igor Tudor rages at decision
Former Premier League referee Dermot Gallagher has provided his verdict on Harry Wilson's controversial Fulham goal in the win over Tottenham

Tottenham have been handed a new referee verdict after Harry Wilson's controversial goal for Fulham. Spurs went behind after just seven minutes when Wilson volleyed home a loose ball, with the restart delayed by VAR checking for a potential foul on Radu Dragusin, though the goal was given.

Igor Tudor and several Spurs players were left fuming by the decision and their feelings only got worse later in the half when Alex Iwobi made it 2-0 to the host. Richarlison pulled one back in the second 45 but the Lilywhites were unable to find an equaliser and thus it is four consecutive Premier League defeats.

The threat of relegation was a major talking point after the game with Fulham's first goal also taking centre stage. Former Premier League referee Dermot Gallagher has now shared his thoughts on the incident.

On Sky Sports' Ref Watch, he said: "I didn't think it was a foul when I saw it in real time and I don't think it is a foul now.

"It's a case of the players are up and there is always going to be physical contact. We see this all the time. People say it is a contact sport, but was there enough to give a foul."

Ex-Premier League striker Jay Bothroyd held a different opinion on the incident, however, as he stated that it should have been a foul.

He said: "I think there is enough contact. There's a push and his body has gone away from his hands. There is force there and it should have gone in Tottenham's favour."

Tudor shared a similar viewpoint as Bothroyd but expressed his verdict far more passionately and referenced a similar incident that was given as a foul against Arsenal last weekend.

The interim Spurs head coach said: "Of course it's a foul, I think. Nine out of 10 people will say it's a foul, I believe, because it's so obvious, you know,"

"Sometimes the criteria don't have consistency, last week what happened in our game against Arsenal, same thing, also one situation before, we conceded a goal, they didn't get a foul after they give, so, incredible."

"But there is a logic, if the goal is, because he take advantage, not thinking about football, he was not thinking about the ball, he was thinking how to cheat. So, he cheated the player with pushing and they scored the goal. So, it's a logic, it's a cheating and there's the foul.

"It's not the thing of duel and they want that here is a football is more, you know, tough and we like the duels, it's nothing with that. So, there was no logic in this decision and logic is above everything, after come other things."

Gallagher and Bothroyd also analysed similar scenarios where decisions also went against Spurs which included the Randal Kolo Muani foul on Gabriel and Hugo Ekitike's controversial header after placing his hands on Cristian Romero's back.

On the former incident, Bothroyd said: "The difference between this one and the one on Dragusin, it looks like Muani has hands in his back, Gabriel has made most of it. With Dragusin, you can see the push and Dragusin's body go away from [Jimenez]. Gabriel has missed the flight of the ball and made the most of it.

Gallagher stated on the Ekitike incident: "I thought at the time this was a goal. Ekitike is up early, is above the player at all times, he's always going to win that ball."

Iwobi: Unique goal
Alex Iwobi acknowledged that his goal against Tottenham Hotspur is not something you see every game.

The midfielder doubled our lead on Sunday in nonchalant style, coolly passing a powerful strike with his instep into the net from outside the box.

"Unique, I think that's the best way to put it!" Iwobi replied when asked to describe the shot.

"I don't think anyone's got groins to open up their hip and sidefoot pass it like that, but when the ball was set back from H, I just had one thought in my mind, just to pass it into the far corner. It's something I do in training, so my teammates aren't surprised!"

Consecutive victories have put Fulham onto 40 points, just three off seventh place, and Iwobi knows what it's going to take to achieve our ambitions in the final 10 matches.

"I think just to be mentally strong and stick together, like we have been," he said. "Everyone is fighting for each other, even the ones that came into the squad, like Issa for example – Joa was ill and Issa was able to step into that role, so it's a good and competitive spirit that we have in the team.

"As long as we keep that, I'm sure that we can finish high in the table.

"We were ambitious from the start of the season, but the main thing for us is to remain consistent. We see the quality in training every day, it's just bringing it into matches.

"The results [against Sunderland & Spurs] speak for themselves, not just the performances but to get the results as well, so as long as we keep doing that.

"Of course, we had a difficult run, losing three out of four or something like that, so getting back-to-back wins gives us a boost and the confidence to keep going for the rest of the season."

Marco Silva states Fulham 'clearly deserved' derby day success
The Cottagers completed the double over Tottenham.

Marco Silva shared his thoughts on a 2-1 triumph for Fulham against Tottenham.

Spurs have chosen Igor Tudor to try to reinvigorate the club and drag the team away from the bottom three, but their woes worsened with a loss at Craven Cottage. Harry Wilson and Alex Iwobi put the Cottagers in a commanding position, and they could have put the score out of sight completely.

In the end, Richarlison made the hosts sweat to hold onto the three points, but the final outcome went the way of the correct outfit in the eyes of the Fulham head coach. His players have picked up 40 points, sitting ninth in the Premier League table, and the mood remains positive in West London.

"I believe the three points clearly we deserved. In terms of the score, it should be different with the amount of chances that we created. Of course, first half, the beginning of the game, we were clinical, ruthless. We created and we punished them. But the number of moments that we had second half to score, clear chances to score the third goal and kill completely the game. We didn't. That is the reality.

"And you know, anytime at the level that we are playing, with the individual quality on the other side, they can punish you, which is what Richarlison did in that moment. But great performance from us.

"I really believe that the way we were able to control the game, creating chances, the dynamic we put in our offensive organisation, was top. We controlled very well the physicality from the two strikers, always the channel balls and runners in behind. They tried, and I think we did control very, very well.

"The only thing is the score doesn't reflect our superiority on the pitch, but we are very pleased with the performance, with another three points, and we move on."

Marco praise for Diop
Marco Silva singled Issa Diop out for praise after his dominant display at the heart of our defence against Tottenham Hotspur.

Diop was not originally even in the squad, but was drafted straight into the starting XI when Joachim Andersen fell ill, and boy did he rise to the occasion.

"I don't like to go for individual things, but it's important to mention Issa Diop," Silva said. "He knows he was not supposed to start the game. He was at home last night. He was not even at the hotel with us.

"He's a good professional, he came this morning to join ourselves after the illness of Joa, and he performed in this way.

"It was our decision to start with him, and what a performance from him. Leadership, the focus and the commitment he had in every moment to lead our backline, was crucial from himself. And I have to really to congratulate him for the performance.

"I'm very pleased, because he deserves all the credit. Sometimes not always involved in all the moments, [but] every time we need him and to use him, he responds very well.

"And always, I know that tomorrow, if he plays or not this afternoon, he's going to be the first one to arrive at the training ground. He's going to be the first one to push the others to go, always a top professional, very important for ourselves."

Marco Silva 'won't give up' on keeping Harry Wilson at Fulham
Marco Silva promised Fulham would do everything they can to ensure Harry Wilson enjoys more years at Craven Cottage.

Wales international Wilson scored his 10th goal of an impressive campaign in Sunday's 2-1 home win over Tottenham.

The fine displays of Wilson have earned him plenty of admirers, especially with his Fulham contract set to expire this summer, and Silva expressed his desire to get the 28-year-old to put pen to paper on fresh terms in west London.

"He's enjoying this season. He has the people around him to take care of the contract situation.

"Our club is trying to have contact with them as much as they can to solve it," Silva revealed.

"I'm not going to hide it, the better he plays, the fight [to keep him] is going to be bigger.

"It's clear, but we prefer it in this way.

"Of course when a player goes into the last year of his contract and is performing so well like Harry is doing, it's going to happen, these type of things.

"The reality is we are not giving up at all.

"We are very pleased with him. He's enjoying life with us as well.

"Now it's a moment for the people around him to take care of his future and of course for us as a football club to try to get him with us for the next years."

Is Harry Wilson injured? Injury latest on Fulham winger
The Welsh winger netted his ninth goal of the season on Sunday

Fulham registered their third straight win across all competitions on Sunday after by heaping more misery on out-of-sorts Tottenham at Craven Cottage.

In-form winger Harry Wilson was Spurs' torment-in-chief this time out, as he opened the scoring on seven minutes, before assisting Alex Iwobi, who netted a second with 11 minutes of the first half remaining.

Richarlison pulled one back for the visitors, but Fulham would hang on and move up to ninth place in the Premier League table.

Is Harry Wilson Rice fit to play against West Ham?
However, what had been another excellent performance from Wilson was marred by his 72nd-minute withdrawal after he had picked up an ankle injury during the first half.

With the Cottagers in action again on Wednesday evening when they host West Ham United, the 28-year-old faces a tight turnaround if he is to be fit and help the Cottagers continue their good recent run of form.

Fulham boss Marco Silva gave a brief update on Wilson after his side's victory over Spurs.

'At half time he gave us the feedback that we probably have to change," he said. 'He kept going but it was very difficult for him in the last 20 minutes to support [the team].

'He twisted the ankle a bit. Let's see how it's going to be in the next few days.'

Fulham fans hoping that Wilson will be able face the Hammers should be emboldened by the fact that the Wales international was able to continue after the break and that his substitution was precautionary.

Wilson, who is valued at €20million by Transfermarkt and is out of contract in the summer, has netted nine times and provided six assists in 27 Premier League appearances for the Cottagers so far this season.

Silva already had to make do without centre-back Joachim Andersen on Sunday, who missed out due to illness.

That meant the Portuguese had absences all across the pitch, with Sasa Lukic recovering from a hamstring injury, while forward Kevin has recently undergone surgery on a metatarsal injury.

Fulham host West Ham on Wednesday, before welcoming Southampton to west London in a fifth-round FA Cup tie at the weekend.
