Iwobi has removed all traces of Fulham from his social media accounts.

I've posted in the transfer window thread. Is it perhaps related to new contract negotiations? Or something of that sort. Either way, really weird.

He is very active on social media including Fulham stuff, maybe the club have told him to remove anything related to Fulham???

I just checked and you're right. This is so weird. He left his Everton pics so not like he just erased club affiliations in general. Is he angry at the club for some reason? I hate speculating but this is seriously strange.

Volz

I just recalled, wasn't he warned and fined least year by the club for posting something. Maybe he's done it again, got an immediate warning this time and decided to just delete all of his Fulham posts as a reaction, "if you don't like me to promote the club in social media I'll take your word for it and delete everything about the club"

hopper

Definitely a weird one, could be to clear the deck ahead of some kind of announcement. But no Fulham, but still Everton and Arsenal content is peculiar.

Think it's now club policy, after Bassey & Adama were wrestling on video

You will need to look hard if you want to find anyone that is more opposed to social media than me. But in truth, social media from individual players might just be the most engaging content there is for the average fan these days and surely gets the club both very good money and exposure. Putting that in anyone's contract would likely put quite a few ambitious players off from ever signing with us in the first place, and forfeit both merch income and publicity.

Neutral Zone Ultra

Realistically the majority of PL players' accounts are run by a team of "social media managers" sitting at a computer pretending to be the player and trotting out generic ChatGPT "we go again" and "fans were incredible" slop captions underneath professional quality photos. Amazed that people get fooled into thinking that it's actually the player behind the account.

(For the record I know Iwobi is probably an outlier, just an observation on the rest of the league).

Theres obviously something to it. These things dont happen for no reason. I guess we will find out tomorrow

I'm aware of that, we are all slaves to it now unfortunately

Hoping eventually it runs its cause

A step in the right direction, but better is to delete all social media, throw away the phone and concentrate on football.
