The Old Count

Quote from: KentFulham on March 14, 2026, 09:08:47 PMI do think we will win tomorrow but then be presented with the golden opportunity home to Burnley which we will screw up. So glad I am going tomorrow
That would be Fulhamish

Think Burnley just drew 0-0 with Boscombe... they're dragging us into the relegation battle

FFC007

3-0 won for us and we are 8th... with Parkerball next on Saturday.

Marcus

Like many, I believe young Liam is well out of his depth... my heart would sink if he rocked up post Marco...
but nice work if you can get it...

Two goal margin is enough,as we'd be equal on points and goal difference, but we would have scored more goals so we'd be ahead.

Correct, however I should point out that that sort of thing tends to happen when the teams around you play and your game is the next day.

Let's see how tomorrow goes before reaching for the cyanide capsules.

So when we lose tomorrow, which we will, you'll reach for the cyanide? Talk about drama queen 👑

Can you just jot down the winning lottery numbers for next week while you are in this prophetic state? Also, care to tell us what the score will be? Or do we let that wait until tomorrow too?

As for me, win, draw or lose, I will try to keep things in perspective. There are far more significant things happening in the world right now than a football match.

Yeah and that other Marco, the US Secretary of State, is also rubbish!

How so? If you're saying that because West Ham won it and are now battling relegation, I'd like to remind you they were battling relegation long before winning it. Crystal Palace are in it and they seem to be doing as well in the league as every other season - they finish between 10th and 14th every season, a very safe club - much like us.

Agree - Fans cant on one hand want progress and then shun progress because we might go backwards.

I don't think it's a question of maybe going backwards.  More so a question of whether the team is really ready to compete and stay in the PL along with a more rigorous schedule and additional games to be played.  Based on what we've been seeing the last couple of seasons, and chances to kick on foiled by poor shows v weaker teams (or at least teams we 'expect' to be able to beat) one does wonder about FFC 'readiness'.

SP

Spurs will drop into the relegation zone if they get a tonking at Anfield.

SP

Such inconsistent refereeing at Palace.

FFC007

I've got a fiver on 5-0 Pool.

FFC007

Only 7 subs for Spurs and no Palhinha

SP

JP misses the game following his clash of heads in their last game

SP

Fair play to the Spurs fans who've travelled to Anfield today

Even in their current state, I can't see them losing 13-0!

SerbianLad

Liverpool 1-0 up and all over Spurs. They just hit the post too. I honestly think Spurs are the worst team in the league at the moment, and by a country mile too.

Tudor has been shouting and stamping, his half time team talk could be interesting.

Liverpool should be 2 or 3 up by now.

Come on Liverpool, just need a another 12 goals.

SerbianLad

Richarlison is the only Spurs player that seems ready to fight to avoid relegation. Rest of them seem like they've given up.

SerbianLad

And Richarlison scores now. By far their best player this season, imo. I'd love him at Fulham.

Richarlison was excellent in the 2nd half to be fair especially that last 15 minutes, a real fighting display, he gave everything..

He may just have saved Spurs, sadly.... Long way to go, but that was a huge point for them.

By the way on a Spurs Forum, they have a poll of who they want as the next manager, Poch is way out ahead of course, but interestingly Silva has only 1.1% of the vote, behind current incumbent Tudor on 1.9%

He was their only half decent player in the first half too, with two decent header attempts.

He has a lot of good skills and is a fighter. Despite some of his antics, I don't find him as unlikeable as the likes of Bruno Fernandes, McGinn to name a few.
