What to make of the Dan James sub? I could only dip in and out of the game, but from the chances he was getting he looked an unbelievable threat. Then they subbed him on 83 mins (presumably to defend the lead), for a player with no socks or shin pads mind, and then conceded immediately. Surely that was a mistake in hindsight?

Pity that the 3 Fulham related players lost out, Harry, Dan James and Neco Williams.  But it would have been very hard v Italy on Tues after such a bruising and hard match.  Just hope it doesn't deflate Harry for the rest of our season.

I thought that.  He had been battered though so maybe a knock or cumulative knocks.  Also,how ineffectual was Brennan Johnson?  Penalty miss aside, he contributed very little.

At half time it was looking good for Ireland, Wales and even Northern Ireland were doing very well against Italy.

Then Italy scored and that was pretty much that for the Northerners.

At the 85th minutes mark both Wales and Ireland were winning... Then both let in a goal in the 86th minute.

Then Penalties and both Wales and Ireland go out within a minute or so of each other

Then penalties and good night within a minute to both Wales and Ireland.

Oooh, that was a tough watch.
