I've seen cleaner mopping up in the hammy end bogs that what we did defending that set piece!
We were totally bossing the game and looking really good, got the deserved goal... I was looking forward to an easy 3 or 4 nil, it was looking like that kind of performance
And they they scored minutes later.
Team have a bit shaken up by that, but starting to look composed again, hopefully it will be a 3 or 4 -1 instead.

That is why most of this defence & Reed will not be a starting cohort in the PL though, Reed has been naff for years and Andersen & Cuenca just not at Bassey & Affi's levels. Annoying because we have controlled the game so well except for two chances and should be winning. Overall they will tire chasing the ball and are quite open down the flanks so there are more goals in it, I would take Reed off fairly quickly and then we should have enough to win the game comfortably
We just cannot defend. Any type of pressure and we look like we will concede. We are way on top and should have had about 4 in the first half. Bloody level again. Fuming!

I think Reed has been quite hopeless, as he often is in my opinion, but those chances didn't happen because he is small. It's because he makes bad decision and is technically not good enough for this level.

Just soft. We wheel out Reed for these games every season and he's so unreliable. Meant to be the captain, should be leading the team to a half time lead by making sure they do the simple things.
That was painful to watch. I detest wild passing out of defence straight to the opposition. It's rarely ever productive.

One of the chances he got bodied off the ball from behind. Either the ref missed the call, or Reed should have expected the contact and held his ground. Because he's "slight", agree with your comment about height, he went down and conceded control.
Berge nor Charles (from what I've seen) would have gone down from that contact. Reed did.
Edit: Now that I think about it...you're right. If he does the right thing when the ball is at his feet his size wouldn't matter. Clear out, pass to the right player...

We should be talking about how well Palacios has done, and Muniz to an extent (especially if he'd banged it that chance), but we're harping on about the leaky defence.
I am more annoyed with the chances we have missed (especially Muniz's) in that first half than the goals we have conceded. We should have been two, even three goals ahead.
Poor defense aside..very entertaining game.
In a year Palacios might be pretty good.
This game is showing why some of this team are on the bench in the Premier League, or not involved at all.
