I warned you all - Kits a great and luvverlyFulham man, but unfortunately nowhere near experienced enough for a team expecting promotions.
Goodnight
I have been saying this since his first game, but have been accused by most (apart from my uncle) of being "negative"
Most people wanted Kit and we've got him. A nice guy who supposedly knows the players. Sadly, he will not be successful. We look a complete mess.

Sorry but your post makes no sense. Typos and also promotions plural????
1 defeat in 7 and the doommongers are out in force!!
Oh dear the knives are already out.
Kit will do us proud this year. We will finish respectable mid table. To be honest any decent coach would get this squad to mid or upper half position. But does Kit have the quality, experience or the confidence to build a squad that can not only gain promotion but stay in the Prem? I don't think so. Khan will give him the season and then it will be goodbye, barring a miracle.
He got the job because of fan pressure given impetus by the dithering of the owner. We, the fans, should have been much more demanding but we've got what the majority asked for - a nice 'Fulham guy' who is out of his depth.
this is a crazy thread.
1. Experience means nothing, jo;l and magath had bags of experience as did branfoot and they were miles worse than any other managers we have ever had!
2. kit has worked wonder and is doing an amazing job... we did really well to keep in the game in the first half, took our chance well in the second, pretty much were cruising to a win but the equaliser was unfortunate and out of the blue... the winner a cruel deflection.
3. keep calm, we are bound to lose games because the quality of our players is not good enough and that can be corrected
4. we will not always play well and brentford pinned us back meaning we had to play the long ball and it was working
5. where kit is wrong IMO is the obseesion with ruiz, yet again he was simply nowhere to be seen, out of his depth and not able to put in the effort in this type of game, we were playing with 10 players...
I also thought woodrow was a better choice than eisfeld, we needed somebody to hold up the ball as it went forward because whilst hugo is popping them in, he has an appauling lack of first touch
6. williams is struggling for physicality and is only half a player... he will be great, no doubt, but in a year or two, not now... so in the end we were effectively 9.5 players
Kit has to drop ruiz, the man is a liability
i would give david a chance and i think it is time williams was rested for his own good
but i thought we showed character tonight and were, in the end, rather unlucky!
Stop moaning about the manager, he is in fact brilliant.

No he hasn't, that I'm pretty sure of. Another Paul Bracewell type appointment done on the cheap to bring stability, will prob be moved on next season if we achieve a mid-table finish.

I thought we were winning when Ruiz went off, so how, exactly, was he to blame. Ruiz is a world class footballer, he would walk into any of the top championship teams and a good few of the premiership ones.
I stopped coming on this board because it became full of people wanting to criticise, moan and be negative at every possible chance. We won't win every game with this squad. The team was torn apart in the summer by a mad man and we are re-building, its not kit's team. Can we concentrate on the fact we have only lost one in seven? or is that too positive for you all? I should of stayed away, its depressing on here.
You are all a bunch of moaners who seem to sincerely wait by your keyboard for bad news and then groan and throw a fit. We lost to a better team, we were away from home, we are dealing with a team that has been torn apart horrendous decisions by previous managers and and backroom staff (all the way to the top). We all know it's been and will continue to be a rough season..just for the love of God put the knives down and give it all a rest. Yes we all have opininions and I respect what everyone has to say..but this forum is becoming so utterly toxic it's hard to read at times.
On to Brighton!

Didn't realize another had posted this before me, but I agree.
We didn't loose too badly tonight. I'm really looking forward to my trip to Brighton.
I really do want us to stick with Kit and get behind him . He has many positive attributes - not least of which is bringing on players and obviously creating a good team spirit .Being inexperienced and naive does not make him the wrong man for the job. What will surely cause his downfall is if he doesn't learn from his mistakes and see what so many of people on this forum see and that is the way we are overrun in the middle of the park. We are not strong enough in the middle for this division. Players often hit long balls from the back when they are being overrun and under constant pressure.
The defence probably isn't good enough but without a strong midfield they will never stand a chance over 90 mins.
We need either to get someone in on loan, use a different formation, and or different players to suit the game ( especially away games like tonight - when Ruiz was far too lightweight and could never cope with the cut and thrust of such a derby ). Then in January we have to strengthen . We cannot just wait for our undoubted young talent to mature sufficiently to cope with the rigours of this league.
Kit may not fancy certain players, he may want to remain loyal to his youth team ,but for his own sake he does need to develop a plan B and C for that matter
We were not unlucky tonight - we were not robbed by the ref . Ross was spot on - they were the better side .
Please please Kit - show us you can change it when it needs it , either for certain types of games and for certain during games when our backs are so often against the wall.
COYW
There is no plan B because we haven't got any B players - the squad has been decimated by the previous idiot.
We needed to shore up the midfield at 1-1 - we don't actually have a player capable of doing that - Eisfeld/ David ? useless at defensive duties
Nose - you are right Williams doesn't contribute enough and we have too weak a midfield - didn't go but assume LVC did a fair amount of running -
thought Ruiz did OK though -
Zverotic = useless - is that KS' fault ?? who should we bring on - we haven't got a right back a the moment -- or is it KS' fault that he doesn't have a Shaw or Clyne in the squad
I thought we were unlucky to lose in the end - not fortunate to be one up at all
I blame the spectre of a play-off place jaundicing quite a few on here's view of this season. If you think that our right is to finish in the top six, then every defeat is going to seem like a knife in the heart. Listen to the doomsayers!
Tonight we went down 2-1 to a top team in the division. That is all. We were in the lead, OK, that was our misfortune that we gave it away from there.
Forget the playoffs. Enjoy the high points of the season, there will surely be quite a few, particularly in the context of our first seven games.........
I'll stop there...It's beginning to sound too much like 'Desiderata'......! 049:gif

we will have to disagree re ruiz, he was anonymous and unable to keep up and wasteful in possesion... i am not sure what you see in him. but i thought we were unlucky in the end even though we were pushed back for far too long... we need a few bigger and better players

I think that Kit shows his inexperience with the use of Ruiz. Yes he is quality but in the first half we got battered and he was missing most of it stuck out wide right. Kit made the switch at half time and moved McCormack back into mid and pushed Ruiz into #10 role behind Hugo and it worked. I thought Zverotic was excellent first half but he does get some unfair stick, the first goal was not really his fault, fluky pull back past him but the ball was missed by two Fulham players as its crossed 6 yard box.
Where Kit also struggles is how to use his bench. Williams is a work in progress but fades badly towards the end of games and Kit seems struck by paralysis/analysis, Brentford used their subs to bring fresh legs and energy and once Kit has replaced the flagging Ruiz he seems to run our of ideas. Woodrow would have been better sub and Eisfeld for Williams. I was at Wigan and he did the same thing, talked to Pembo, got subs up and running, talked to Pembo, sat the subs down and just does not make a decision. He did the same against Blackpool but didnt really need to against Huddersfield. Tonight was another poor example. I hope it is just inexperience showing and not the problem he is just too nice a guy.

So do it then. What's the point in happy clappy nonsense? Some of us will make comments as to the negative, but also the positive when due, and most of the posts have been pretty good of late. However after being outplayed by Brentford, Brentford for God's sake, you expect us all to be happy as Larry, chuckling as we munch our celebratory late night cheese toasties?

Negativity won't get anyone anywhere, ever. If you think it will, you're wrong.

I find it hilarious that you of all people have the right to moan about Kit after being such a loyal servant to Magath....
Also why were you not on here warning us after our good run, from such a postive poster I would expect positive ity when it is due... Same with a few other posters, who come on and say they were right all along ( this applies to a few, as some have been singing of the same hymn sheet since he took over), after we lose our first game in ages. Or to moan in the matchday thread but when we turn around a game and win you are nowhere to be seen.
Very funny indeed

Sorry Deano but you are wrong.
I am unhappy about the way we played and lost rather than the fact we lost a game!
I have been on here in positive mood many times.
The Magath thing.....
Well ok I did stick up for him, perhaps a little too much. But I did feel he would take us forward with his experience. Unfortunately, we couldn't wait much longer.
I was/am happy for Kit and he has changed us for the better, but I did warn that IMO he won't take us up and even if he does, then he won't take us to higher level. He just hasn't got the experience unfortunately.
It looks to me that he sets out the game plan during the week and sticks to it, even if it is going wrong. Last night was one of these times - no plan B!
We were unable to play our football as Brentford gave us no time on the ball. Our midfield was being dominated and we reverted to long balls. It's at these times that he needs to make changes to his original plan, and why oh why can't he get subs right? He has stated that he is in no rush to bring in any back room staff, well sorry but I think he needs help!

exerience is no guarantee... jol was experienced, magath's record was top notch, branfoot had experience, even alan dicks was brilliant at bristol city..... all experienced and the worst set of manasgers we have ever had!
Kit has transformed the team, he gets the best from his squad.... of course i do not agree with everything he does but he has nonetheless he has been been fantastic. His biggest problem is the imbalance and basic quality of the players.... hopefully that will be corrected and is not down to him..... but he has the team playing as a team and obviously committed.... i have no complaints!

...despite the fact I disagree with the OP, I'm intrigued, please advise the Fulham boards that are not negative about things, and what is the point of a message board if opinions cannot be shared..?
