Sess & Cairney! Both know what this fixture means. Hope we can get that elusive early goal and boss proceedings
Cairney starts. Lukic is going to have his work cut out for 60 minutes.
Can't see us winning this. We have no threat in the box, (Although Raul gives us more than Muniz), Brentford haven't been beaten for a few games now and will have gained confidence from that. Glad to see Lukic back. TC is a gamble but could be genius if he plays his best game. I like Sess better than Robinson on current form, but I'm worried about the midfield.
Decent attack, unfortunately slightly overhit pass from Iwobi
Early yellow for Lukic isn't good
Lukic booked as usual
Clever Lukic.
tc seems to have been given licence to roam all ove the pitch
needless from lukic long way to go treading on eggshells
keeping possession ok atm.
Unlucky Wilson as he hits Muniz. Great work from Muniz and ESR in the build-up
Wilson has bird **** on his head!
well battled from esr
tame shot from wilson
Quote from: SerbianLad on April 18, 2026, 12:37:13 PMEarly yellow for Lukic isn't good
It is and so unnecessary
Muniz is **** and the referee not booking Jensen is what's wrong with the game today
Apparently Thomas Frank is watching in the stadium, Fulhams next manager!

True. Even if it was his first foul, it was worthy of a yellow. I hope the ref will be consistent though and if it happens on the other side, the result will be the same.
Interesting colors on Fulham away kits. Another win for Fulham will put them safely in mid table.
iwobi twice messed up now
iwobi's passing in the first 15 mins has been terrible
We're passing to them more than to our own players.
Just play the youth team at this rate clearly these guys do not give a hoot for the badge or shirt
Quote from: fulhamfever on April 18, 2026, 12:47:50 PMJust play the youth team at this rate clearly these guys do not give a hoot for the badge or shirt
Too harsh. They're defending well enough.
We are playing like we do not care give the youth a chance
Brentford seem to always punch above their weight but Fulham have a close overall record playing against them.
Games won: 26
Games drawn: 19
Games lost: 25
Quote from: LittleErn on April 18, 2026, 12:47:10 PMWe're passing to them more than to our own players.
whoscored.com is saying our pass success rate is 76%, while brentfords is still only 78%.
Getting a replacement as good as TC is going to be a huge issue
Putting ourselves under pressure at the back as usual.

Maybe, but it's the areas where we are giving it away that are the problem.
some nice possession there
but giving it back to them imn dangerous areas is just plain daft
We are in control now
Will Fulham even get a shot on goal today?
better spell now. need a goal from this
Although a bit of a slow game I feel we are in control and can win this
Quote from: Nittany_Joe on April 18, 2026, 12:57:33 PMWill Fulham even get a shot on goal today?
almost a shot there
Elbow to the head and no booking?
Harry Wilson is the only Fulham player that has the bravery to shoot from outside 30 meters. Why is that? Surely there are others?
brentford throw to marcos amusement
Looking a bit better in attack in the last few minutes. Being a glass half empty guy, It's when we're pressing up that I worry about a quick break.
Good attack, terrible finish from Sess
good move
close.
Sess has been pushed forward with Bassey covering at the back
Can't finish. Lionel Messi would have scored there.
Quote from: SerbianLad on April 18, 2026, 01:02:32 PMElbow to the head and no booking?
I'm surprised more wasn't made of that, he was staring at Anderson and puts his elbow right into the side of his head
Quote from: Nittany_Joe on April 18, 2026, 12:57:33 PMWill Fulham even get a shot on goal today?
Wilson had one but the shot was blocked by Muniz.
didnt see a lot wrong with lukic challenge then
Quote from: TC's Sporran on April 18, 2026, 01:08:52 PMdidnt see a lot wrong with lukic challenge then
He's giving them a lot of little things like that.
I've seen so many game where Fulham dominate possession and then lose 0-2.
They do this against teams like Bournemouth and Aston Villa.
loving lukic today
Unusually for Talksport, they have a decent pundit, Scott Minto won't be asked back.

Iwobi injured
iwobi's hamstring! ::angry::
poor from either bassey or iwobi. my stream is that bad lol
Cairney tripped over his own feet. Good grief.
oh dear
Chuckie on probably better has more pace
Quote from: Nittany_Joe on April 18, 2026, 01:13:48 PMCairney tripped over his own feet. Good grief.
haha no he didnt replay showed it was a deft piece of footwork he tried to quickly thread the ball through but it was blocked
my stream is bad but not that bad
If it is his hamstring, likely out for the rest of the season. Will force Marco to rethink his default lineup, Iwobi is always 1 or 2 on the teamsheet.
Marco looks distinctly disgruntled.
Good attack, poor final ball from Chukwueze
As much as I hate any Fulham player getting injured, this might force Marco to stop automatically picking Iwobi, he's been pretty awful this season
poor pass from chuck
Quote from: LittleErn on April 18, 2026, 01:15:40 PMMarco looks distinctly disgruntled.
When you're wanting a new job doesnt help if you keep losing
Close!
so both teams have had close range misses over the top, and other than that, a whole lot of missed placed passes from both sides. Fulham did pick up our accuracy over the latter stages - having been down at 64% midway through, but now at 86%.
This game at moment hasn't got me the least bit excited.
End of season drivel.
Brentford are not as lethal without Ivan Toney. I say Fulham can take them on.
We've huffed and we've puffed but there's no chance of blowing the ball over the line. Having said that, Brentford are no better.
Decent half overall. Apart from that chance at the end, they hardly created anything. We played well up until the final third where we need to sharpen up. Lots of poor passes in the final third, after having really good build up prior to that.
Shame to see Iwobi injured. I'd maybe try to play ESR on the left, Wilson in the middle and Chukwueze on the right.
Bobb and Berge for ESR and Lucic please at halftime, with Wilson moving in centrally
I do believe 12:30 is too early for kickoff, should be 14:00 at the earliest
We need players who can take them on and get to the byline so od keep chuk out there for now with bobb on the right late on and Wilson moving centrally as SS with raul if we need a change. King for him then after that on 75
Difficult thing with Wilson is his ability to score which means we rarely sub him even if he's having a meh game. Understandably
Not a dreadful half but far from a good one either really , we simply can not get the ball to Muniz with no wingers breaking lines
This is painful both teams are terrible watching football isn't as enjoyable as is used to be the coaches have coached out the flair players utter garbage
Playing a cautious game so far (but too many loose passes) which is fine with me but most importantly we must be switched on from the start of the 2nd half!
Also, the ref seems to be giving us a lot of non-existent fouls as fouls. Jensen didn't get booked for pullback, Lukic did. Thiago hit Andersen in the head with his elbow, no yellow there either. Tbf, Bassey made about 3-4 fouls and wasn't booked either.
Quote from: LittleErn on April 18, 2026, 01:21:02 PMWe've huffed and we've puffed but there's no chance of blowing the ball over the line. Having said that, Brentford are no better.
But if we keep huffing near their goal we might just force an own goal.
Muniz made a great header near the end. In our penalty area though. Could we convert him to a centre half?

the definition of clutching at straws, but it may well be our best chance!

Marco needs to do something about the 10 spot, whether Bobb or Wilson. Too many games (including today) where the striker gets left completely isolated without any presence behind them.

I was more thinking that in terms of letting Chukwueze play in his preferred position, while keeping Wilson. I thought ESR played well today, so far.
A half of two halves. When Brentford press we are in close to 100% tortoise mode, when Brentford go "shape", we are better.
Suspect it might get a bit easier once it's Brentford with sun in eyes.
This might come down to how much pressing Brentford have left in their legs, and it might be quite a lot.
We are in the fight though.

Both teams still have a chance of qualifying for the European competitions. I don't think either manager will be happy with a draw.
We are closely matched too. Some of passing has been frustrating to watch but I've been impressed with our defending.
Fulham also playing more as a team.
Come On Fulham!!!
unsure if it is sess or the service from iwobi/chuk, but he seems to be a step behind a bunch of passes.
Incredible, their player hits their teammate in thr head, without the ball, and we need to stop our counter attack because of it.

Poor first touch from Sess slows the attack down, then a terrible shot from Lukic.
That looked like a foul on Bassey to me, not the other way around.
wow - pinball on the pitch
We are well on top in this half. Need more composure in the final third still
nice simple move down the left. need to see more of that.
Sess is getting into the right positions
Sounds as though Chucky is playing well
header to nobody
Not even the 60th minute and many of the guys are clearly out of breath.
0-0 from a few years ago was played on a sunny day and it was as dead as this
just getting a bit scrappy
then you see how many brentford got back for that 2 man fulham attack?
You just know we will concede in the 98th minute.
I've been impressed with Cairney. Muniz looks the shadow of the player he once was :(
Quote from: LittleErn on April 18, 2026, 01:15:40 PMMarco looks distinctly disgruntled.

Good to see a proper striker coming on.
Not sure I've seen a game where we've made so many missed passes... we're lucky Brentford haven't turned up or we'd be more punished by now
This is so bad .....we look clueless

We've been very careless at times.
probably time to take wilson off, even though he is the most potent scorer against brentford
Every time I watch us I think... this is the worse ive ever seen. until the next week
So far we are incapable of delivering a decent attacking pass, nothing new there!
We are going to stumble into an unnecessary defeat or maybe a fluky win?
We've looked worse since the subs
Come on, they're waiting for us
Superb pass from Lukic, poor finish from Wilson
harry ffs
Quote from: akf on April 18, 2026, 02:03:36 PMprobably time to take wilson off, even though he is the most potent scorer against brentford
with every missed pass he puts his hand out and whines a bit - not the mindset we need to pull it out.
Brentford look slightly more ambitious than us. Not that that says much.
terrible from chuc
Cairney started the game brightly moving the ball forward quickly but soon settled into the safe pass.
Now he's just slowing everything down!
Brentford are the team this season with most goals after 76 minutes. Time to wake up!
Good subs. It will be interesting to see who plays where
Good subs. Mind you this is the moment when we seem to concede.

Terrible fron Andersen, but Leno saves him
the sun has come out just in time to work in our favor (on the other end)
Blow up ref,let me get the dog out for his walk.🐕
Muniz didn't register a shot on target quicker this season ends the better and get that marco silva out
Well, we are all stunned at that save by Leno.
that should be a yellow for the foul on bobb - he was clearly away
We're going to be lucky to survive with one point at this rate.
World Class save by Leno
So many miskicks. Is it windy? Sun in their eyes? Or just no composure.
clean sheet. Leno with the biggest plays for us - MoM
0-0 ft. Not a terrible result, but a win would have been very important.
European football don't make me laugh.😆
Very poor, players not turning up game after game, always same at end of season. Leno saves us on this one. Motm easily
Another March/April borefest. We really need to shake things up in the offseason.
Awful truly awful the players look disinterested 0 go forward been like this since West Ham at home utter 💩 . Silva is to blame for this toilet
Bit of a snoozefest, yet again we looked very blunt in attack. That being said we defended really well, Thiago didn't get a sniff, both centre backs did well. Obviously Leno's outstanding save the main and perhaps only highlight.
Brentford looked much better in attack than they did on the reverse fixture, so lots of credit due to the manager. Pretty good point overall.
Non-event. one point each changes nothing.
How long since we've scored? I can't see where the next goal is coming from. We've a glut of potentially good wingers but no strikers good enough for them to supply. Muniz just occupies space and hopes for a mistake to give him a chance. Raul is more fluid but has no pace anymore.
What another 💩performance
