We dont attack quick enough to warrant overplaying it out from the back. The entire reason to do it is to suck the team in then bypass the press and have a numbers advantage in transition. We attack so slowly we dont gain anything from doing it, and we concede soooooo many clear cut chances doing it.

Ever since Brentford lost Ivan Toney, they are weak on the attack, especially during the run of play.
They are now more of a counter attack team. They sit back and lull you to sleep until they pounce forward. They've done it three times in this game so far.

Glad to see Iwobi scored. Unfairly picked on when he should be playing instead of Berge in midfield. Berge spends half of the game every week making sure there's an opposition player between him and the ball, or he just stands next to one, so he can't receive it. The other half of the game he passes it sideways.

Their last two games versus Villa and Chelsea, they were losing at the half and were able to get a result.
Our midfield has so much space. I can't think Brentford will be this bad after HT.

Did you see the two goals? Him battling hard enabled Iwobi to get a chance to score the first goal. On our second goal, he won the aerial battle and then continued to work hard to get to the ball faster then Brentford players, which he managed to do, and then he was very composed, gave a good pass to Iwobi who gave it to Wilson for 2-1.
Iwobi has been immense tonight. Consider me having eaten humble pie.

To be fair, there's not been one player who's been poor so far. Lukic has been mid, with a terrible back pass that could've gifted them a second. King has been good since his mistake.

Exactly! Muniz is probably doing exactly what Marco wants him to do. With Marco's tactics the number 9 role is very much about hold up play and creating chances for the wingers and the number 10. Muniz is really good at this.
Everyone have been superb so far today, doing exactly what's needed from their respective roles in the team. Brentford's goal should never have happened of course. King showed his lack of experience there, but he's learning, and apart from two horrible passes he has been one of our best players.
We're gonna win this unless we do something REALLY stupid. We look BY FAR the better team.

OK. I've just watched the replays - he certainly assisted the second goal. Not sure about how much he affected the first; I'll watch it again later. He certainly has a value in a melee close to goal but I'd like to see him taking the ball past his marker from outside the box. I suppose you could call him a "poacher" and that can be valuable. The jury is still out for me.

Harry Wilson is like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. You never know what you're going to get until the whistle is blown. There are times when he is superb and others when he is way off. I think he still has upside improvement and stays with the club for a few more years, despite the rumour that he will be traded to Leeds.

I feel a bit bad for Muniz. He's had quick ball fired in all night, often at awkward heights, and been somewhat beaten up. One moment of pure class and it was chalked off.

Iwobi will get it for the goal and assist, but it's been a pretty good all round performance aside from some defensive weirdness.

Don't know how Brentford were able to draw Chelsea 2-2 last week. They do not look threatening, at all. So far, Fulham are finishing the game off like professionals.
We showed these bums levels once again.

I mean I have no problem with Leno's or Kevin's yellows for time wasting or Lukic's yellow for shirt pulling, but how can you then not give a yellow against ESR there. What's the difference between that and the foul Lukic got booked for?
