I was hoping to see Konch on the bench to get him ready for thursday.
Caught up with the game as much as I could on Thursday...th eonly change from then is Shorey for Kelly, right?
Right.
No Nevland on the bench. Well, well.
Was that an own goal? On Baird?
Yes, unfortunately it was. An own goal by Baird opens the scoring. 0-1 to Brum after 3 minutes.
Why are we so poor at our own corners and crosses. Baird did save a certain goal sson after the own goal.
Great win after a mid week tough game. Thought we looked a bit short of urgency at times and left a big gap between midfield and Gera and another for poor old BZ. In the second half we closed up and looked much better. Baird despite the goal made a good stop shortly after but we miss the full back supporting Duff. Davies and Shorey were good on the other side.
Swart 8/10 didn't have much to do but if he did touch the shot onto the bar, then 8
Baird 6 Poor goal but then did ok
Hughes 7 Bit pushed at times but did well
Hang 8 Learn to pass Brede. But very secure
Shorey 7 Linked well with Davies and going forward
Murphy 7 Gave the ball away but was at the centre of most Fulham efforts
Etuhu 6 Did his job well enough
Duff 9 Great Goal and always a danger
Davies 7 Looked to be getting back to his old self
Gera 7 Poor first half but much better second
BZ 9 When he needs to think he panics. But was outastanding besides the goal
Riise 6 Broke up play but not enough time or the ball to much
Smalling Did he touch the ball in the minute he was on.
It's a good thing if Smalling didn't touch the ball when he came on. Keep the ball in their end while we run down the few precious minutes left...a wonderful sight.
