Title: A maths and Fulham related question.
Post by: FatFreddysCat on April 29, 2011, 07:07:47 PM
Just broswing Freehold mobile homes abroad and come across a site in the Loire Valley which has 300 sq metres for your plot. I'm crap at all that sort of  stuff so roughly how much of Fulhams pitch would that be? I'm guessing about a quarter, surely bigger the penalty box? Also whats the Loire valley like?

Wow really? It's 25,000 Euro (bloody hell EQ i've forgotten again), but you have to put your own caravan, mobile home, log cabin on it. Near the river Mayenne??? Google freehold homes in Loire Valley and you'll find it, crap pictures though, could do much better.

I looked up our pitch size (which is 110 x 75 yards).

This works out to 100.58 metres x 68.58 metres.

Multiplying them together to get the pitch area makes 6897 square metres.

...so according to my calculator, you'd get 23 plots out of the pitch, if each one was 300sq mtrs.........

1 yard = 0.9144Mtrs
300x300 mtrs = 328.084 x328.084 yards?
300m2 = 358.7972 yards2

Firstly well done on the maths  :clap_hands:  , but a 23rd of the pitch dosen't seem that big :012:

So anyhow, is it bigger or smaller than the penalty area?

Penalty area is 44 by 18 yards - 40.2m x 16.5m = 663.3m2

Cheers IW, so it's less than half a penalty area. The pictures look much bigger, but then again so do swimming pools in brochures  :035: . Not for me, though to be honest i doubt it ever was.
