How can we have a system that allows a business because that is what they are, paying obscene wages, to claim public money to develop their ground ?http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13998365.stm (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13998365.stm)
It's seems crazy doesn't it? A chance to create, say, another 5 jobs in the borough for £80,000 p/w wage earners ..,...with their accounts in the Cayman Islands or somewhere.....
There's a similar discussion going on in High Wycombe, where public funds are being sought to raise a larger stadium for Wycombe Wanderers and Wasps.
So why don't we do it??

The biggest difference is that you do not have to deal with a bunch of pompous bar stewards and an evil boat club in the US.
