Title: Jermaine Beckford
Post by: BR on August 31, 2011, 12:13:32 PM
Rumour has it we've had a £3.5mm bid accepted for Jermaine Beckford and Kakuta may be coming back on a season long loan.  Slightly worrying that we're hoping for Ruiz and Gignac and we wind up with Kakuta and Beckford...

That is a fair wedge for Beckford, didn't Everton pick him up on a free just a year ago?

Everton don't want to sell because they can't buy a replacement.

Really? Beckford scored 8 goals last season (scored every 168 minutes!) - no Fulham player had that goals per minute ratio.

And he's almost a local lad - born in Ealing.

I'd be happy with Beckford - as long as he ends up as one of at least four proper strikers. So we need minimum two strikers in, or three if AJ goes to Leicester.

Well researched. How does it feel to be the most popular person, or indeed the most sought after person, on the board on a day like today. Due respect to the Lighthouses and FFC but I'm stalking your posts today. Bobby on a train is the scariest thought of the day so far.

Was not surpposed to be a dig at Beckford, more a promise of two big signings to 2 smaller ones.

Bobby won't leave. At least he's not on a train. And I really hope Dempsey is alone in the US of A - with no potential PSG, Arsenal and Sevilla medical doctors running around him just waiting for the call. Get Coat gif

According to the BBc Everton have signed Denis Stracqualuisi on loan, so that could free up Beckford

I'd take Beckford as back up for Bobby and the rest, with AJ moving on.

Leciester supposedly had a £4 Million bid accepted for Beckford.

I'd take him at Fulham.

Bid accepted, now they're agreeing terms and doing a medical.

Another one we've missed out on....who is next? Nicky Maynard?

We're running out of time and Beckford would've been the ideal backup for Bobby.

Jerome would have been ideal back-up, Beckford would have been decent back-up.

Plus reports are that Gignac is in London and negotiating with Fulham

Had a look at a Bristol forum and the feeling is that he has only a year left on his contract and BC want to cash in but he wants to sit it out.
