Marseille didnt get his replacement Amauri so he will unfortuneately stay in OM

According to Charlie Emmett a lot of cars pulled up at Motspur about 20 mins ago and a lot of French being spoken. Sounds hopeful yet.

It really isn't.

Virtually all of the French press reporting that Gignac is remaining an OM player.

Charlie Emmett was probably joking.

Le marché marseillais est terminé. En contacts avancés avec Fulham qui était parvenu à un accord sur les bases d'un prêt payant avec option d'achat, André-Pierre Gignac (25 ans) va finalement poursuivre l'aventure avec le club entraîné par Didier Deschamps, qui avait ciblé Amauri ou encore Asamoah Gyan pour lui succéder. Actuellement à Londres, l'ancien Toulousain rentre sur la Canebière.

In short: Cignac was in London but will return to Marseille and stay there next season.
