Title: I guess it can be filed under donations but...
Post by: finnster01 on March 18, 2010, 08:21:49 AM
The best odds of the US winning the WC is 80:1...

England at a poor 6:1 (donation also)

I like Italy at 14:1 to be honest

Germany is at 15-1 as well and Holland at 14-1. Hmmm. I don't bet but maybe I should on this one.

wow 80 to 1 I'm donating a hundred bucks, gives me extra reason to show my love of country... 8000 would be a nice little reward, I'd feel like I'd just won the world cup. I know it is a longer tournament than the confed cup but it showed anything is possible.

I think the Ridge may have got a good point with Holland at 14.
They are due a win, an although it has been a long time since South Africa was Dutch, there is a bit of that along with the "home team" always doing well.

Not that I think Holland will have too many fans from Soweto.

Last wc, my mate in England called me to ask who he should bet on. He doesn't know a lot about football but likes a bet. My decision was, germany (the host, I think) or Italy. He put 20 quid on Italy around 16-1.
After the semi, I called him to ask if he put the bet on. Nice one. How come, when I recomend a bet it wins. If I had put the money on.....obvious answer.
I agree with you, Italy, always a good bet. Spain won't do it cos everyone fancies them. England, no chance. At 6-1, total waste of money.
Despite Maradona, Argentina could be good. Some real class players.

Me, too! That Cannavaro chap looked unbeatable at the Cottage on Thursday!

Yes, Mr Hatter, he is as reliable to control his temper as Rooney except that he is about 14 years older. But at 14:1 I'll drop a few bob.

When I was in Vegas last week I saw the US at 50:1. 12th best out of all the countries.
