Title: NFR - Pornic, France
Post by: BalDrick on June 07, 2012, 02:27:17 PM
Anyone been to Pornic in France? Specifically wondering whether it's worth bringing the bodyboard (and indeed the wetsuit)? Going there late July/early August. Campsite's a few miles from the coast I think.

All help gratefully received, ta (or indeed merci).

Pornic is a small fishing port worth a walk around as a few bars and restuarants. Lots of fish and crepes. There are plenty of good beaches near by and with a bit of wind you'll get some decent waves, so the belly board sounds a good idea.

Cheers - would you say the sea temperature would merit a wetsuit? Only a short sleeve, short leg one anyway.

Can be a tad chilly. So pack it. Pornic is a popular place for those who are serious about their sailing. So expect changeable weather. You can wake up to heavy rain and get sun burnt later in the day.
