Title: Cheering for Hull (and other results affecting us)
Post by: Jimpav on April 03, 2010, 03:18:23 PM

Stoke 1-0 up which gives them a 4 point lead based on current standings.

Blackburn also 4 points ahead but we have 2 games in hand. We need Pompey to beat them.

Sunderland currently level on points but have also played 2 more games.

Sunderland 2-0 up - That's surely the end of Spurs top 4 hopes!

We need one win and maybe two to be mathematically sure of staying up. So it is just down to placings and frankly after the season we have had I would be content with where we are.

Dislike Hull more than West Ham because of the way they play. Our goal difference is better than Sunderlands so with luck we can stay above them. However a win for us and a defeat for Spam in our next games  will make me a little more relaxed. Oh yes I still fear a Fulhamish end to the season.

Have no fear Lighthouse! We are not going down.

Would be nice to have back to back top 10 finishes though.

Another missed penalty by Sunderland. Three pens missed two. Spuds should be 4 down. Then Sunderland  have a goal ruled out.

Poor Pompey are running out of players for next week.

At last Sunderland 3-1 up. I was beginning to feel for Sunderland.

Hull playing with ten men in their game as all subs played and they have had to have an injured player carried pff.

Note to Capello. Bent can not take penalties!

I thought they were going to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory for a minute.
