...I know there are one or two WHO fans on here - worth a watch:-
BBC4 tonight at 21:00 (9o'clock Eq)
Quadrophenia: Can You See the Real Me?
Pete Townshend opens his personal archive to revisit the Who's 1973 album Quadrophenia."We Are The Mods" (sorry Berserker)
Wish I was in the UK so I could see it. :dft004:
Thanks El Bee. I remember going to see Quadrophenia up in Leicester Square the 1st week it came out. The quintaphonic sound system in that cinema was quite a revelation in the 70s. I look forward to watching this programme.

I'll be interested to see that. Loved the film, and it's good to know alot of it's stars are still acting today. I remember the mods and Rockers battles in the news when i was wee

me and you both, i remember chasing loads up the beach trouble is tripped up on a deck chair, some prat did smash my Lambo headlight, and i got nicked for causing an afray £10 fine.
Ah those were the days....
Watched this, very good, I used to go to Sunday school ( under duress, rather out playing! ) at the church hall as I lived in the block of flats next to it Brady House, remember seeing the Rolls parked out there when the who bought it, don't remember them being very friendly to the locals though as implied, perhaps the local tarts got in , we got told to go forth and multiply in no uncertain terms
Watched it last week a good insight into the album which is better than the film but still love the film,Quadrophenia live is worth a watch as well done to the album not the film.
This album will always be a part of your life if you ever dared to think for yourself or be anti-establishment around that time in modern history. Now everyone's a "freak" or a rebel, but then it was something special and not accepted by society. I am thankful to haved lived what that album meant even if in a different way that the story intended, and in a slightly different time and place. I guess I'm saying I can relate and would love to see this.
