i'm only a casual & recent poster on this forum (more of a 'lurker' really), but from the little that i've seen, if another poster who quits gets a two page thread inviting him to rejoin and resume posting about 'sausages' [wtf, ffs], then this guy, who contributed a lot of invariably fulham related stuff, and seemed genuinely enthused in doing so, should get a lot more

As a footnote to this thread.. if any poster does have problems on this board, please contact any of the moderators. There are very few problems we can't iron out. Shame to lose quality posters.

People disagree with each other all the time, it is not exclusive to message boards, and one thing for sure, he should be aware that if someone disagrees with him on Friends Of Fulham it is usually done in a civilized and well mannered way, as it was in this instance. Not sure how he will react to the way people disagree on other boards...

It's funny that you say that. Quite few people who've recently left FoF vacated for that exact reason and they weren't vilified... People leave for their own reasons and we should respect that. Only the individual in question (and the moderators) are able to judge the situation.
We don't know the situation exactly and we shouldn't assume anything really. All I will say is this - Frankie is definitely a top poster on this board. I have really enjoyed reading his threads as they're always well thought out and interesting. His tactical analysis is super. I'll definitely miss his posts and the board is at all loss with them.

I just looked back over the thread in question having missed it all and have to say I don't really see anything too wrong. It was a debate, it's what forum's are for! If everyone spent the whole time agreeing with eachother there would be nothing much to talk about and no point in having a forum!
Having said that, I also found Frankie's post informed and good to read and after all often sparked debate (shock horror!).
Perhaps Frankie was just having one of those days, but I hope he does return as he was a genuine contributor to the forum with good opinions, views and knowledge.
Having read through the McFadden thread, it does appear it was just a difference of opinion and its a shame he chose to leave the board because it it. This forum has always been excellent way to exchange views, its just a shame he took offence to another persons viewpoint. Good luck with your new blog Frankie.
He was a good poster IMO and passionate about his football but to tell someone to grow up and then delete his account because of a, well not even a, small disagreement seems very ...... Childish!! Grow up springs to mind!!

...the come back Fat Freddy posts were from people who assumed it was he who closed his own account whereas he had in fact been suspended.
Now he is banned and moderators can go on holidays as a consequence...
I find it odd that he left due a disagreement of a player. I thought the ability of players is something we all disagree on.

I do agree with you about the importantance of debate, though. It's the bedrock of this board and something we do quite well (debate on footballing matters, though.) Suppose the point is that we have no idea why he left and shouldn't assume that it was that. It could have been that, it could have been something else or it could have been a culmination of events.

I read the offending thread. All very inocuous really. Aside from a minor swing of a handbag here or there I'm not sure how it could have prompted such a reaction.

What a load of shite this is. I absolutely loved his posts and was in some ways jealous of how he could get points regarding the club across in the way he did. But I read the thread and that is no reason to leave. Either he reacted to a tame situation in a way I never could have imagined or he's left for a different reason.
For those that made assumptions; I did NOT leave because he disagreed with me, that would be pathetic. I left for personal reasons and I request that you respect my reasoning seeing as many of you have got it all wrong.
