Title: Ballack to Fulham??
Post by: General on September 02, 2012, 12:25:14 PM

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Ballack (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Ballack)

I know he's 35 but a one year contract with the option of a second can't be a bad trade off - it does though mean whilst trying to make the squad younger we're actually making it older which doesn't fit the remit but such circumstances need alternatives.

I would take him. Most definitely.

We are desperate enough.

In his day he was a very good player. But he'll be 36 this month and that is a bit long in the tooth.   092.gif

That's is what i'm thinking but we're pretty desperate it would seem and you never know, he may get second wind.

Injured. Borowski (and Ballack) are likely to end their careers in the next couple of weeks. Expect Karagounis to follow suit.

Is Ballack remotely fit?  He spent half the summer working in a television studio.

It's largely irrational, but I loathed Ballack when he was at Chelsea, much more than Lampard or Ashley Cole. Would sooner see John Terry in an FFC shirt.

All these 'great' free agents. Why didn't we sign one, why didn't anyone else sign one. Possibly because of:
- their salary / contract demands
- because they are happy to wait until the right playing or career opportunity takes place
- because they are too old or too injured for clubs to take on

Who knows!?

We can get Savage and Lawro as well, but I'd rather pass on hiring pundits as footballers.

No way .....

Ballack was crap as his sesond time at Leverkusen......

Now he is a better moderator than a football player .....

If wee sign a free agent than Reo Coker  092.gif

Wouldn't mind him, class on his day but not sure he has many of those 'days' anymore. We'll see, I expect we will bring someone in, just a matter of time imo.

i wouldn't be suprised if someone read this forum and the idea, liked it and then posted it on twitter. Sometimes though that's how transfer dealings may start - fans and rumours are just as prominent at scouting as others I can imagine. Some football fans know their football inside out and may even have the ability to spot a good player. Why not?

Ballack is over the hill, slow, bored, and one of the dirtiest players I've ever seen -- vonBommel/deJong class. It would be a dark day indeed if I ever saw him in a Fulham shirt. What a waste of molecules.
