"....does the the way we like the game to be played really effect our opinions of players and performances?"
Absolutely. Yes!
The thing with the transfer window is that most players (and clubs)are playing a waiting game. Unless Barca or Real want you of course. With all due respect, Fulham is non of those...We don't know who Jol approached and who he didn't. I think he was hoping to keep Mousa. It's worth all the efforts to keep your best player first, and then look elsewhere...But still, yes. I know...
Good blog. Keep it coming
Cheers CB. and of course the problem with January is that its a sellers market so we may have to wait until next summer, before we see the "real" reinforcements.
I agree on Ruiz. As for the transfer window, it's tricky. Should Jol have accepted that the 2 Dems were on their way and line up replacements, even though that would have looked defeatist?
I think we'll always be a selling club. My hope is that we get a happy coincidence when we have a season when a team gels and then a season while the richer clubs think about buying our players, make the most of those two good years and then start again. I don't think we have the fan base to be Everton or Newcastle but we've shown we can have the odd season in the top six and reach a major cup final.
